What a wonderful pair of animals! The cat is fearless and the GSD is so amazingly careful and gentle with his paws. He could so easily hurt that little cat, but he controls himself completely.

This is a great video. They obviously know they are play fighting as Rocky is so much bigger and stronger. But Simon doesn't give up. He waits until he thinks Rocky is off guard and then attacks and bites Rocky's paws!

I hope the dog's eyes won't get injured by the cat's sharp claws. There is a risk for that.
I was thinking the same thing. The kitty was being VERY careful, but he could accidentally hurt the dog’s eyes. I don’t think cats can retract their back claws like they can with their front ones.
Cats are VERY careful about not hurting a friend’s face. The owners might want to gently stop the play when the cat bunny-kicks the dog’s face, so the cat understands that’s a no-no. It’s pretty obvious the cat would never intentionally hurt the dog, but the bunny-kick is a bit too risky.

They didn't want to go home and expose their parents and grandparents. Our Governor didn't like that and made every one of them go home! There are a lot of college's in our state. I love this. That GSD could crush the cat’s skull in 2 seconds flat if he wanted to but his gentleness is obvious around his little playmate. I’d get nothing done if Rocky and Simon were in my house! Great entertainment.
