I got a titan as my starter ship, my friends who I play with said it was really a good idea. I've never looked back, 20 ships later I still use it when doing solo bunker runs and when moving between stations. Love my little bug
Friendly bunkers have the word "Defend", "Guard", "Security" and "Repel" in the title of the mission. Missions without the those words (usually they say "Evict", "Remove" or whatever - those are your unfriendly bunker missions. Bunkers themselves are not friendly or unfriendly though. It all depends on the mission (as far as I know - I'm pretty sure I've been to the same bunker in a single session where it was for a defend site against hostiles and then a little later it was Evict Occupants).
@@ewd1020 no, my point is that there are no mission markers once you get to within about 3K. That makes finding them from in aground vehicles difficult and at times impossible. I was wondering how you navigate to a bunker on the ground without a mission marker.
#7 You can fit an STV in it. Or you can transport people for missions like beacons for example. By the way, yes the aurora is pretty bad starter but you can have a bed and transport packages for delivery missions. So it can help make a bit of money to buy better ship later as you can rent avenger titan to make bounties. I would prefer a Mustang Alpha as it does far better in combat as soon as you customize it with good components. Far better manoeuvrability than the aurora. I think you can also use multi-tool tractor beam to put delivery packages behind seat in cockpit. I didn't tried it yet but it should work. Or sometimes the cargo haul is not bugged and can work. In my opinion then, you don't need to upgrade to Titan as you can fast rent it in game and afford it about a time only with in-game money. =) By the way, aurora ES can be rent also in game for delivery package for almost nothing money.
Great ship. I've been trying a lot of different loadouts. Atm I have a S4 Rhino repeater on the nose and two S3 Tarantula ballistic canons for the wings. All fixed. Two dominator II and two Strike Force II missiles.
The Titan is a great starter ship. I bought the Titan starter pack for a friend last week for Christmas. I wanted him to at least have a decent ship to start out with. The Auroras are good if you need to spawn a ship super fast but other than that they are more of an obstacle than an asset.
I know it’s strange. But I seem to always go back to flying my Titan doing MRT or HRT for fun. So I can totally relate to your point. It’s just such a fun little ship. Wish it could take a bit more dmg. But it’s a starter. That is a great paint. You got it during a special event? I’ve been fond of the Ironweave paint.
I was told in another comment I bought it in the subscriber pledge store. I didn't think to look there. I took my C1 out to run bounties because you know it's the new hotness and all of the other creators are doing it and I just got hammered doing HRTs. Took out my lowly Titan and was just ripping up the HRTs.
@@ewd1020 the C1 is a great ship. Lots of great things. Little harder to do combat, but capable nonetheless, it’s just something about the avenger that is fun!
@@ewd1020i may test out to meld to this instead of a nomad or cutty even though i bunker run and bounties alot. 🤔 do you have a specific loadout thats good for ais?
Even with a hangar full of ships, the Titan is perfect for some jobs. Especially during events like Xeno Threat or Jump Town, when you need someone to toss some stuff in real quick so you can take off fast.
I have almost an identical story about how I ended up with an avenger Titan that is a permanent part of my fleet. I have upgraded and melted it a few times but I always end up putting one back in my hanger. I actually just upgraded my titan to the Renegade edition during IAE purely because I like the paint better. At $15 more than that standard titan and no significant advantage beyond the paint, easily makes it the most expensive paint scheme I've bought. 😂
So my question is do i need to get a new ship eventually cause the titan easily has the best design in my mind and i just started playing and wanna stick with it as long as possible so could i just upgrade it to be better or is getting a whole new ship that isnt a ship to hold the ship gonna be a necessity
I guess it depends on what you have now. If you have the Aurora I'd upgrade it. No sense really in keeping that one around. And to be honest most ships are available to purchase in game anyway. I'm working on a video now about a mission I ran with the titan back when I first started playing to help me grind my way to buying a prospector in game so I could go quantanium mining. Back in 3.16 it was all the rage and you could easily make 500k an hour if you knew where to look for quantanium. Took me around 25 hours of grinding but the titan got me there. If you have a ship that costs more than $100 it's probably worth keeping. Like the Cutty Black or freelancer. That's just my 2 cents.
@@ewd1020 yea i just like the design of the titan and how compact it is yet ot has space to do the things i want Ive played only a little but i really enjoy mercenary missions and that kinda work so maybe ill make the upgrade but the titan just looks so slick its hard to wanna think of getting another ship that isnt just some kinda freighter
The Syulen is definitely a fun and interesting ship (I bought one). I don't think it's a good starter ship though. The landing and taking off takes a little getting used to and if you're new to flying in Star Citizen I could see where it might turn some people off.

I bought this game in like 2016, and i only have like 6 playthroughs. I got it when i had my GTX 960M laptop, without properly checking the specs, and of course it didnt run wellxD Its been on a shelf for years. Until 2months ago, when i finally upgraded to rtx4060 (It still runs poorly, 30-40fps *sighs*. But at least it runs). Community was awesome so far. I asked about ships, if i could buy in-game, One guy called 666********* sent me like 1million units lol. I had a mustang, but i wanted more space for cargo, so i used that money and bought this Avenger Titan, cos i saw it has bed to log off in the ship, and a nice space inside for cargo. Plus looks cool. Havent flown it yet, went to bed after getting it. Will try it later tonight :D
You will need a size 4 weapon to even harm larger ships after MasterModes armor stats are implemented, and this ship will be up to the task. The Avenger is an excellent ship, I hope it gets an extra amenity or two at some point, so we could live in it full time.
Don't diss that Aurora, it's a fantastic 1vs1 dog fighter. ;-) Though the paint job is really great. Besides, even a m50 gets through those HRTs without even getting a scratch on it's paint job. Shame that anything bigger becomes a pain with just two tiny guns. Though the Aurora might actually even do the VHRTs better with it's much bigger arsenal and almost as tiny target profile. I really have to give it a try one day.
I think the Aurora CL would be a pretty decent bounty hunter since it has 4 size 1 guns. For me what killed the whole Aurora series was that it didn't really excel in any one category. And I don't even mean it had to be the best...most of the time it wasn't even adequate. The only thing it had going for it was the bed. I remember trying to do 3 package delivery missions and having to throw two of the packages on my bed just to have enough room to get in to the cabin. But it's good that the Aurora's have a champion - there's probably more of you out there I just know about ;)
"You can ask your Star Citizen parents..." Classic. My daughter was 2 when I pledge in March 2014. My pledge was the Avenger and I flew that thing for a long, long time. I upgraded my pledge to an MSR, but I still, from time to time, jump in a Titan and have fun with the memories.

I think it's the best starter, most versatile daily driver. It's also least bugged, never have issues.
Are they going to update the titans interior at all?
Kepler paint was originally a subscriber item, so you can still buy it in the subscriber store if you are a current subscriber.
