This is my first single I put out as a solo artist and this song means so much to me. As a Pacific Islander and a woman, it was important to me to highlight two things: sailing and dreams. Sailing is important to my people because we discovered new islands this way. My bloodline is linked to royal ocean navigators and I'm mighty proud of it. Dreams were important to me because when we sleep our dreams can sometimes speak to us about things going on in our lives. In our dreams our imaginations run wild, and for me my dreams begin when my eyes open. I believe it is important that people understand their dreams are valid & possible. So I wrote this song to remind myself to never give up on what my dreams are. I also wrote this song to tell YOU to never give up on your dreams! I play this song when I need to feel my ancestors encouraging me, so send this song to as many people as you know that need to be reminded of their dreams. Keep Sailing and I'll meet you on the ocean of dreams my friends!
