    Another masterful job on a sexy beast of an F Type. I used to only buy black vehicles until I became an enthusiast detailer. So difficult to maintain at a high level.

    I also have a black vehicle, but it’s much easier to keep clean with a ceramic coating, since almost nothing sticks to it. I can often waterless wash to keep it looking nice.

      It’s a tricky one, as if I didn’t then it would add over 5 minutes to the video which might make the video too long

    Hi Sir, great vid and beautiful car! One question, after polishing do you have to remove all polish/wax prior to applying the ceramic coating? Cheers

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Will.
      You certainly do, and ideally you should machine polish/hand polish the surface beforehand.

      @@HarpersCarDetailing Cheers, do you suggest gyeon prep or isopropyl after polishing prior to ceramic?

  • @stevef2114

    Nice job...presumed you clayed the whole car?
    Also, why 2 buckets when you were paint correcting? not really necessary i would of thought?
    What the KKD Brake like? Better than Auto Wheel from BH ?

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Steve. Yes, you need to before doing any polishing.
      It doesn't take any longer to do the 2 bucket method and although I am machine polishing the car, I don't want to inflict anymore unnecessary damage.

    Hey Harper, the dots that you put on the microfibre for the coating, are you ever worried about the marker affecting the coating at all? Or does the marker smear into the paint when you rub it in?

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Brennan, no not at all. The ink pretty much dries instantaneously and I haven’t had any issue with it bleaching 👍🏼

    At 2:30 I've never seen black/dirt like that come off a tyre wall before, amazing! What on earth were you using?

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was a tar remover.
      Sometimes with silicone dressings it’s the only way to remove it.
      I wouldn’t do this every time though 👍🏼

    Nick when you do a ceramic coating do you ever have concerns that air born contaminants
    might stick to the coating as it cures.

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No not a tall, it’s not a sticky product like that.
      If any dust lands in the coating after application it’s not going to affect it

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In terms of protecting the paintwork fro physical damage then PPF hands down.
      Water repellency and maintenance a ceramic coating, but you can ceramic coat PPF which would be the best option

    Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned
    from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
    Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
    on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas
    station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel
    pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in
    the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems,
    turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and
    New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be
    done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of
    crime here, called emissions and smoke crime :-(!!!
