Hey friends, I'd like to have more of a dialogue with you all If you have any questions/comments for me, you can submit them here: forms.gle/12TbGeFQqmsPteDv8 I'm thinking I can respond to these as mini Q&A's in my monthly vlogs 🩵
Hi Georgia, really glad I found your channel through this video! I'm an engineer who recently started working as an MBB consultant and you put into words some of the difficulties I've had in adjusting to this change. I too love design thinking and taking charge of my own projects. I'd actually love to hear more about your work as a strategist and how you solve problems with design. I find it super interesting to learn about the, for me, "other side" (non-engineering side) of design thinking and the sort of mindset you take on!
Hey, so glad you found my channel and that my experience resonated with yours 🩵 thank you for the suggestion, I can definitely make more content with that in mind! I do have a video called "what is strategic design" which was a bit of a first stab for me sharing that process, so you can check that out in the mean time if you like 🥰
Loved hearing about your journey. I’m tempted to share this video (or at least part of it) with my business writing students this autumn. I did my Masters and PhD in Rhetoric, so that’s my thing, and now I teach writing at a uni. I teach rhetoric but it’s hard to get my students to understand that rhetoric has applications in a wide range of careers. I think hearing your career journey and how learning about rhetoric helped you with strategy would be really helpful for them.
thank you for your kind words! of course, please feel free to share this video around if it helps 🩵 that's super interesting that you studied and teach rhetoric, I certainly wish I knew how important it was earlier, I would have joined a debate team to practice haha 🙃 I've found it particularly important working in a corporate setting (and I'm sure you have find it important in academia too) because at the end of the day, our words and ability to persuade are some of the most important tools we have day-to-day, to get what we want out of projects, agendas etc ✨
I’m so happy for you, congratulations! 🧡 Asking ourselves questions and finding the right balance between stepping out of our comfort zone and maintaining happiness can be challenging, but it shows you are not living life on autopilot, which is incredibly important 🌟
I love this video! I make videos about Strategy on the Brand side (ex: Procter and Gamble, LVMH) so it's super interesting to hear about Strategy from the Consulting side. 💭 Keep up the great work, and would love to collaborate on content with you Georgia! x
We love to see it! Thank you for sharing all of this information, it's really interesting to follow along with your career journey - hope all goes well in the new role ☺
Hey, great question! I did a lot of journalling and work with my therapist hahahaha but also there are a heap of online resources to help identify values such as Brené Brown’s Dare To Lead Values worksheet online and Therapist Aid has some great ones too. If you Google “Values Worksheet CBT” there should be quite a few options that come up. I would say pick whichever one resonates and just spend some time reading them, working on them and thinking about what those values mean to you and how they come up at work ❤️ wishing you all the best ✨

Great video. You talk a lot about values etc in relation to work. How did you discover what your values are?
