@Edward Brody I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Two nothings who've clawed their way forth, from the very bottom, to the very top. Two wastes of space who've put everything on the line to reach their goal and final destination. Two undeads, one a slave, one unfit even to be cinders, locked in battle over what little remains of the Dark Soul. Two knights, at the end of the world, with no-one there but themselves to witness their glorious clash. Truly, this was an appropriate ending. A final battle embodying the true spirit of Dark Souls.
In the end, the reward was fulfilling the wish of the last innocent being in that broken, forsaken world. After an eternity of emptiness and suffering, the very last warmth comes not from fire, but from an act of kindness. And for this last whisper of warmth, two nobodies fight over "nothing" in the middle of nowhere, to the death.
What an AMAZING game... No other game can make you feel like Dark Souls. Miyazaki my hats off to you you mastered the thing called "video game" and your legacy will never die.
@@collincortright8640 Allow me to quote the description of the Slave Knight Set: "Armor issued to slave knights. The fine craftsmanship made this a symbol of honor. Long ago, only the Undead served as slave knights, warriors used as fodder in the bleakest of battles. They grew decrepit, their skin charred black and their bones twisted. Eventually they went outright mad, but were never relieved from duty." Seriously, where the spreff did you get the idea that Gael is a Pygmy?
Literally a battle at the end of the world. The last survivors battling out a final battle for the fate of the new world. Hell of a way to end the trilogy.
Iundex Gundyr is my fav, loved the first part of the fight against Gael, but even if the second is even more epic, it loses the feeling of an honest dual between two warriors, as magic enters in action.
I disagree, Orishina. The first phase of the fight is more like you trying to put down a mad, bloodlust-filled beast that just so happens to be using a sword. The second phase is Gael properly, utilizing his full strength as a warrior. The third phase is just ridiculous and flashy, and I love it, but that part I'll agree with you ruining the whole "honest duel" part.

thanks for turning my shit day into an awesome one!!! You're almost done for Dark Souls 3 covers, only 1 remain, sister friede and father ariandel. 2nd part is sublime
Holy moly this is amazing. Dark Souls 3 is the only game i've managed to finish and yet i mostly didn't notice the music in the background apart from Soul Of Cinder but when you put the music alone, it really speaks for the quality of the games. I haven't listened to Gael's theme before this but this one of my favourite covers from you.
glad i’m starting to break out into metal covers… i only really listened to hip hop but recently discovered this greatness and nothing except these same boss fights can give me the same feeling your covers do
One of my favorite songs in the entire DS series. Also. Groundbreaking idea no one else in the history of the world has ever had. First My Hero Academia OP. Original, I know. But I can either imagine a cover with Tsuko G or an English cover with Caleb. I just think it would be awesome, and it would be sick as fuck to see you put your twist on it. Thanks, Rich. Thank you for the beauty you bestow upon us.
Comment from reddit. ''The last fight at the literal end of the world is between a failed undead and a lowly slave knight fighting over the dried up blood of a once powerful soul, akin to two homeless guys fighting over a half eaten sandwich.''
... what if instead of a Painter que had a "Musician" that needed the Dark Cords, Made out of Dark Strings, and in the ringed city was the home of the Hollow Orchestra. The ones that made music for the gods only. I can almost imagine Gael saying something like. "Hand it over. That thing. Your Dark String... I need it. For my lady song"
Rich: "I hope future From Soft games have a music this good" Me: "You heard him, make your damn game already!" From Soft: *laughs nervously* "I'm in danger"
Honestly I don't care if Elden Ring doesn't come out until 2025, I just want FromSoft to make the best game they can. I don't want another Lost Izalith/Bed of Chaos, or, well, most of DS2.
When I saw you had covered this, even though I had watched a bunch of your other covers of stuff was not disappointed, not one bit, but I still had a very high expectation for this one. And well you knocked it out of the park. Gael is my favorite fight in the entirety of the souls/borne series, and he has my favorite music of all the souls/borne series too. Great job man.

Your noisy way of covering Souls tracks didn't work for a subdued song like German, the First Hunter. But it worked perfectly here. You did really well on this, and it's amazing to listen to. Congrats!
You know what I like about metal? If you replace DS3 soundtrack with it's metal covers, it wouldn't sound out of place. Maybe because DS is metal, or because it's magic of metal, or both.
Wow that cover is unbelievable! And that ending is epic unkindled one. Good job i'm ready for the end of fire! :) I can't stop listening your metal cover.

Garik Wheeler with a Blighttown map complete with those annoying blood dart bastards.
