This is close to how I do my warm ups as well before my grind starts. I do everything you say in video and in addition I also crank up sensitivity settings to much higher sens. So when I start my grind, I will just turn down the sens again and I will feel that my shots are on point.
Drills like this are very good for warming up/practicing. I personally do two different drills. The first is similar to this one with a lot of recruit bots with increased health just to get my shot on point, then the second is 7 veteran bots, normal health, and 5 different classes through which to cycle every 50 kills or so. The point of the second drill is to maintain as high a K/D as possible while going full-tilt and challenging everything. It really helps me focus on staying alive and learning different ways to challenge/escape from gunfights to get an edge against literal aim-bots, while also adapting to different classes and playstyles on the fly.
Awesome drill that gets results! I did this for 15 min. and dropped 22-2 and rotated my score streaks twice in one life on my first game. This drill works and it's just as he said it becomes second nature and I loved how it worked nearly instantly and I didn't even have kontrolfreeks on. Keep up the good videos as your one of the only cod youtubers that truly understands how cod in general plays and encourages a positive atmosphere. Take notes people.
Stumbled up on this beauty back in the days of Advanced Warfare.. instantly fell head over heels for the drill where you sent enemies to the grave via the mele (breaks my heart punching was nerfed into an after thought) Added two things to your original video (one which I see you mention now) 1. Killing enemies with as few bullets as possible, maximize the amount of deaths in each chamber. 2. Focusing on the movement system (various jumps, wall running, sliding, etc). Mastering the movement system alone gave you an unfair advantage once you logged into the world of multi-player (hell you dont even need to shoot 1st) Shortly after running this drill, started channeling my inner Neo every time Detroit showed face. Had one of those light bulb moments and started changing the map each time I busted out the drill. Changing maps each login allows you to learn various running/wall running routes, choke points, spawns, headglitches... etc As a result of this drill... when I hop on-line, pull out more precious beard hairs more then I care to admit. Time after time (thanks cyndi) players on-line take more bullets to slay then bots at 150/200% health
There's one issue I have with this drill: bots rarely use the new movement system in the way real players do. I can dominate in these sort of drills, but once I get into an actual game an enemy will be wall running in a place I don't expect, or will simply jump straight over the top of my head. By the time I readjust to their new position I'm already dead. Is there any way to create a drill which would help with tracking boosting/jumping players?
TheXclusiveAce Yeah it is a rather tricky problem. Regardless this drill is still a good method to get your eye in. I suppose the best way to learn how to counter the boost movements is to simply play games until you can predict where enemies are most likely to pop out of.
Crispin Freeman play multiplayer and eventually you'll know where ennemies will be coming from. You'll aim in those directions without even noticing it :)
Thanks for the drill! Since I got my PS4 today, I've been having trouble getting a hang of the controls and have had difficulty with my accuracy and speed. I did this drill for about 15 minutes and I can already see a lot of improvement!
Ace, thank you for promoting Kontrol Freeks. I recently purchased (using code Xclusive). I got the MW variant, and my aim has improved greatly! I'm able to use about 30% higher sensitivity without compromising accuracy!
Take your BlackOps 3 sensitivity. Divide it by 14. Multiply that by 20. Then multiply that by 1.3. That will give you your adjusted sensitivity for IW with 30% added for the Kontrol Freek.

Strange! Never had that problem. I guess maybe i youbpuahed a bit harder than most people? Still shouldn't pop opp though! Scuff is definitely better (although i have other priorities money wise so kontrol freek ot is lol) I was talking about longer sticks in general really.
RYSE nah I used my control creek's for two months and stopped using them my aim is better from the experience but their not something I'd continually use

Honestly if you want to improve you're aim you follow this guys tips and drills. I've been subbed since Ghost's and this drill really does work I promise you. My tips for this is use this drill as a warm up and also do this drill every evening for 200+ kills and you will have laser accuracy I guarantee it. Also if you become bored of it or you're aim is pretty solid on recruit move the difficultly up to regular and repeat the process. When you get too hardened or veteran you're in for a super challenge. DEM BOTS DON'T MISS!!
Hey man, just to say thanks a lot. Since trying this drill my KD has improve a lot and I am enjoying the game a lot more. Also thanks for the pointer on staying on the out skirts of the map that help also. I have been implementing the drill not only with an assault rifle but with an smg as well. Ace, thanks for all the tips and information on IW so far. It's been very helpful. However, I'm surprised that you (or any other COD youtuber) haven't addressed the main issue that almost everyone has been struggling with. Inconsistency and the broken lag compensation that's affecting gunfights. There are multiple posts on IW Reddit on this issue with hundreds of comments if you'd like more in depth feedback. I'm a decent player with an above average k/d of around 2.0 in all previous CODs and I'm just getting absolutely destroyed in IW. Shoot first die first is a common theme not to mention getting into seemingly fair and equal gunfights where I'm dead before I can even ADS. The game is so broken right now.
+Zaid Mohamed I addressed this a couple weeks ago in the beta. This happens to people with nearly every release of cod and it always improves over time. It really sucks but It's not a simple switch that devs can flip to make things great for everyone, instead it's something they have to tweak and fine tune to please the majority of the player base. They're aware of the issue and working on it.
I love Kontrol Freeks. I don't use them though. I have a custom scuf controller with longer sticks, so Control Freeks aren't needed. But, anything that increases your joy stick height will increase your range of motion and make it easier to accurately get on target.
Great video. The one issue with this drill that I have is that the bots don't try and evade your shots. You get used to quick and accurate static gunfights. In real multiplayer, especially against players that boost jump and wall run a lot, this drill doesn't really help.
You can't really account for connection difference with this method though. I have great aim in custom games but once I start playing people with better connections than me it's like I'm a second behind and I lose the gunfight no matter how good my aim is

wow what I realised was doing this drills is actually an amazing kill time. They need to slow kill time to 1.5! It feels like bo3 kill time and its so much more fun. It feels like I have a purpose playing the game now. But the current kill time 1.0 I legit drop a 50 bomb and feel nothing. Where in bf1 I'd be healing my elite player and I'd feel like I just won a game 100/99 when my team was a bunch of noobs
Get better internet and setup your router correctly. Change your NAT and get over 200Mbps internet. I occasionally get a laggy game but it's only 1 in 15 or so. That's also not the "game's" fault btw.
8 Mbps is very very slow when compared to typical home internet speeds these days. I have 250+Mbps and that's slow for my area of Texas. These games are complex and require increasingly more bandwidth every year. In your case, I can almost guarantee that's your problem. I played for about 3 hours earlier and never experienced lag or server disconnect once. I'm on PS4 though so can't speak for XBox servers (if they're different).

Ace, do you know the difference in aim down sights time using quick draw for sniper rifles? I barely notice a difference when I use the attachment. Do not put a Kontrol Freek on your left stick: 1. you don't need it. 2. You may damage your controller because you're pressing down on it to sprint all the time. I broke my PS3 controller that way.
The alpha's and CQCs can work great on the left stick but I totally agree with not putting a standard height on on the left stick, it's definitely not needed!
i do something similar to this to increase reaction and gun skill on bo2. i use the max number of bots on nuketown without radar always om and just use the weapom with wich i want to improve.
Yes they do and I'm not just saying that because I'm an affiliate. I never partner with companies unless I truly believe in the products and use them myself. I've been using Kontrol Freeks for about 6 years now and I swear by them! I've mentioned them many times in the past but I don't normally make videos dedicated to just Kontrol Freeks.

Read: Best $15 spent. I use Elite controllers mid-rise convex thumbsticks but if I ever happen to just not feel like I'm doing good I slap on mid-rise Kontrolfreeks. I think kfs helps make you accurate but also in my opinion you are very slightly slower at target acquisition/snapshot. After playing without it and putting it back on you can feel the massive difference it makes. Overall it can make the difference between me playing a 30min session into a 6 hour session. My stats on IW/Bo3 are 3kd+ 3years with kontrol freeks 1 year with elite controllers. GET IT! :)
I have a point to raise here, your video is good for improving general aim, but I find what's more difficult to improve is your accuracy on fast moving or erratically moving targets. See the issue with your drill, is that bots do not move in anyway like a person does in this game. Most (decent) players are boost jumping, wallrunning, sliding, and doing those things around corners, into your face, ect. It's much harder to get better at winning those types of gunfights. We all know the KBAR Synaptic 'floor-is-lava' tryhards that only touch the ground to slide into your face.
I sucked at IW when i first hopped on beta and day 1. Played few like you mentioned but on veteran bots but improved my kd from 0.2/0.4 to 1+ I will try this setup and confirm if it gets any better from that
Hey Ace! I got a quick question for this drill. does it matter if you are using different variants of the NV4 of whatever weapon we plan to use for this drill.
Would you say there is a more drastic difference between headshots and bodyshots in IW as opposed to BO3? I feel in BO3 for a gun with a 3-shot kill, you would need 2 headshots (not a big diff). In IW, you need 5 shots with the NV4, and 2 headshots. In a way, they've made it harder to score kills off bodyshots alone. All this could just be in my head, because I'm finding myself very frustrated with the hit detection and TTK in this game so far :(
Headshot multiplier seems to be 1.1, just like BO3. We don't have the hard stats yet though so don't quote me on it but I'll be keeping everyone posted.
Hey ace how do u feel about the smgs in this game ? I used them a majority in bo3 and loved them but I feel like they are not so good at the current moment in IW.. they seem almost useless unless u r right on top of them .. also do u have a favorite smg?!
Hey Ace, Just a quick question. Am I missing something??? I've been using the hardwired perk and it's supposed to be a counter for the counter-UAV, but my mini map still turns grey.
I did this when I 1st got the game but playing bots and then going to the real thing was extremely different due to the lag so you can't really use this
I don't even remember how long I've been using Kontrol Freeks but I know not using them just doesn't feel right. I like the sniper or ultra x I my right stick
I like the added height kontrolfreeks provide but mine would never stay on. Always came unclipped whenever I would get into double kills n multiple gun battles or just intense situations. I can't afford a scuf. Any advice on how to keep kontrolfreeks from popping off? I'm ready to glue them on at this point
Hey Ace, have you noticed that the sensitivities in IW feel different from MWR's even though they both use a 1-20 scale? I feel comfortable with 7 horizontal, 5 vertical on MWR, but on IW I feel like I can't go higher than 5-4 H/R.

I used control freaks and my analog sticks got torn up so now one of my controllers looks like shit. Ya they do work I think anyway can't wait to try this because I'm shit at this game my score is alwase negitave it seems. So ya just a heads up the control freaks destroyed my controller slowly chiped at it when u take it off.
Yo Ace Im considering buying control freeks. im about 6 ft tall with pretty big hands and thru reading reviews it seems like a lot of people with smaller hands buy control freeks which is making me think that they wouldnt be as helpful to me. do you have any more insights?
Many people with smaller hands will prefer the lower height models like the CQC or the Alphas. If you have large hands I'd recommend taller ones or the MWR edition which comes with one tall and one short stick so you can try both!
I know what you mean. I had to work with it for a minute and they fit, not perfectly, but they fit. Be easy on them though and don't force too much. Don't want to tear up that super tacky grip on the actual thumbstick.
I have been using Ace every year. I will continue. I have something I have found to be helpful. Now I don't know how it helps. I don't normally play zombies. This year I am. I aim in multiplayer is really good now. The aiming drill for ace works. But I think it gets boring. When I play zombies the game goes on for 2 to 3 hours. Dipping and dodging zombies. I don't maybe there's something there. Now zombies are getting boring.

You're correct and unfortunately I haven't found a solution for this. I believe this is the best that can be done with the resources we have.

If your sensitivity is 6,6 what Kontrol Freek are you using with that. Or to simplify are you using a tall one or short.

I hate slow time to kill. I would prefer if Infinite Warfare's kill time was like .5. That's about where CoD 4 would be and that's my favorite CoD.

8 Mbps is very very slow when compared to typical home internet speeds these days. I have 250+Mbps and that's slow for my area of Texas. These games are complex and require increasingly more bandwidth every year. In your case, I can almost guarantee that's your problem. I played for about 3 hours earlier and never experienced lag or server disconnect once. I'm on PS4 though so can't speak for XBox servers (if they're different).

Do not put a Kontrol Freek on your left stick: 1. you don't need it. 2. You may damage your controller because you're pressing down on it to sprint all the time. I broke my PS3 controller that way.
The alpha's and CQCs can work great on the left stick but I totally agree with not putting a standard height on on the left stick, it's definitely not needed!

For bo3 I would play any map, nuketown mostly, with 16 veterans boys and practice going from one end to the other end without dying.
i do something similar to this to increase reaction and gun skill on bo2. i use the max number of bots on nuketown without radar always om and just use the weapom with wich i want to improve.

Ace, you got me thinking about Kontrol Freeks. Do they really make such a difference? Have you ever made a video about them?
Yes they do and I'm not just saying that because I'm an affiliate. I never partner with companies unless I truly believe in the products and use them myself. I've been using Kontrol Freeks for about 6 years now and I swear by them! I've mentioned them many times in the past but I don't normally make videos dedicated to just Kontrol Freeks.

Read: Best $15 spent. I use Elite controllers mid-rise convex thumbsticks but if I ever happen to just not feel like I'm doing good I slap on mid-rise Kontrolfreeks. I think kfs helps make you accurate but also in my opinion you are very slightly slower at target acquisition/snapshot. After playing without it and putting it back on you can feel the massive difference it makes. Overall it can make the difference between me playing a 30min session into a 6 hour session. My stats on IW/Bo3 are 3kd+ 3years with kontrol freeks 1 year with elite controllers. GET IT! :)
I have a point to raise here, your video is good for improving general aim, but I find what's more difficult to improve is your accuracy on fast moving or erratically moving targets. See the issue with your drill, is that bots do not move in anyway like a person does in this game. Most (decent) players are boost jumping, wallrunning, sliding, and doing those things around corners, into your face, ect. It's much harder to get better at winning those types of gunfights. We all know the KBAR Synaptic 'floor-is-lava' tryhards that only touch the ground to slide into your face.

I sucked at IW when i first hopped on beta and day 1. Played few like you mentioned but on veteran bots but improved my kd from 0.2/0.4 to 1+

Hey Ace! I got a quick question for this drill. does it matter if you are using different variants of the NV4 of whatever weapon we plan to use for this drill.
Would you say there is a more drastic difference between headshots and bodyshots in IW as opposed to BO3? I feel in BO3 for a gun with a 3-shot kill, you would need 2 headshots (not a big diff). In IW, you need 5 shots with the NV4, and 2 headshots. In a way, they've made it harder to score kills off bodyshots alone.
All this could just be in my head, because I'm finding myself very frustrated with the hit detection and TTK in this game so far :(
Headshot multiplier seems to be 1.1, just like BO3. We don't have the hard stats yet though so don't quote me on it but I'll be keeping everyone posted.
Hey ace how do u feel about the smgs in this game ? I used them a majority in bo3 and loved them but I feel like they are not so good at the current moment in IW.. they seem almost useless unless u r right on top of them .. also do u have a favorite smg?!

I can't find his "sensitivity" video. In Bo3 he was 6 over 6. That worked great for me. Did Xclusive Ace make an IW sensitivity video yet?

I like the added height kontrolfreeks provide but mine would never stay on. Always came unclipped whenever I would get into double kills n multiple gun battles or just intense situations. I can't afford a scuf. Any advice on how to keep kontrolfreeks from popping off? I'm ready to glue them on at this point

Hey Ace, have you noticed that the sensitivities in IW feel different from MWR's even though they both use a 1-20 scale? I feel comfortable with 7 horizontal, 5 vertical on MWR, but on IW I feel like I can't go higher than 5-4 H/R.

I used control freaks and my analog sticks got torn up so now one of my controllers looks like shit. Ya they do work I think anyway can't wait to try this because I'm shit at this game my score is alwase negitave it seems. So ya just a heads up the control freaks destroyed my controller slowly chiped at it when u take it off.
Yo Ace Im considering buying control freeks. im about 6 ft tall with pretty big hands and thru reading reviews it seems like a lot of people with smaller hands buy control freeks which is making me think that they wouldnt be as helpful to me. do you have any more insights?

Matt the only thing funny here is that you don't understand that longer thumbs definitely affect how these work.
Many people with smaller hands will prefer the lower height models like the CQC or the Alphas. If you have large hands I'd recommend taller ones or the MWR edition which comes with one tall and one short stick so you can try both!

I know what you mean. I had to work with it for a minute and they fit, not perfectly, but they fit. Be easy on them though and don't force too much. Don't want to tear up that super tacky grip on the actual thumbstick.
I have been using Ace every year. I will continue. I have something I have found to be helpful. Now I don't know how it helps. I don't normally play zombies. This year I am. I aim in multiplayer is really good now. The aiming drill for ace works. But I think it gets boring. When I play zombies the game goes on for 2 to 3 hours. Dipping and dodging zombies. I don't maybe there's something there. Now zombies are getting boring.
If your sensitivity is 6,6 what Kontrol Freek are you using with that. Or to simplify are you using a tall one or short.
I use a tall Freek on my right stick only
Thanks for the reply, same here. I have and do at times use the shorter ones also but at the moment I'm back using the cqc classic tall! But since I have the tall stick on i usually use a higher sensitivity like 8. Sorry about what I said about the vmp
