I really enjoy your commentary and your guest interviews. I especially like if you tell background infos and insider infos. I also enoyed the reports from the national you sometimes mentioned.
It would be great if there were two versions of each video posted, one with the English audio, and one with the Spanish. In this video it's very hard to understand either language commentary because of the overlap, and since there are no subtitles available it's not accessible unless you're highly fluent in Spanish. Hope you will consider this for next year. Thank you for sharing the footage regardless. Edited: ah, it is fixed up part way through! Thanks.
Great job! I looked for your sister in the singles she did well. I feel sad because of their rules. Clearly they want to include people from all nations in the next qualifying spots; but when individuals who didn’t finish take president over those who did it seems rather disappointing. Perhaps a better way would be to take all the countries that missed the qualifying times have an elimination round or something of that nature. Take top 30 in each round and all others compete in an additional round for the left over seats. Sort of like a wild card.
I understand wanting representation from multiple countries; however, the system set up was clearly flawed to allow individuals who did not complete their puzzle and came in nearly last place in speed to qualify over an individual who did complete their puzzle in the top 60. Definitely not fair rule and would expect they will make some modifications in the future.
If you look at the olympics each country sends their best representative even if those don't stack up against the other countries (think of the jamaican bobsleigh team - maybe one day they might get a medal but they have not really been close). If you come in with a great time right after the fastest people even if your country has a faster representative you are still in the puzzle world championship finals so the system seems quite fair to me.@@amybuchler8874
I think the second puzzle I ever did was a 500 pc Ravensburger Koala one. I am a newbie, so I didn't realize (which seems obvious now) that more than # of pcs is the difficulty level, lol.
He won two events and finished 3rd in the other. HE is the superstar at these events, not Karen. I love her too, but I approve of them being shown in order of previous performance levels. This is not the Karen puzzles channel.
Unbelievable they’re trying to sort the winners by country instead of finish time. What is the point? I’d never fly out there to compete if I knew that.
Ok so don't go lol. It's a blend of both just for the qualifying rounds to keep it a diverse international competition. The winners are still decided based on times
@@theaudiobookaficionado you people and your bizarre quest for cosmic justice. Do you think they should make the Olympics based on nation rather than time, too? Good grief.
OMG Anne Watanabe! I used to watch some of her j-dramas back in the day. It’s so fun seeing my two worlds collide haha
