I love to see examples of your generation getting involved in electronics hobby. That is a wonderful workshop, it has everything you need to enjoy many many projects. Keep it up Kat!
Best looking electronics hobbyist Ive ever seen and I've been doing this for 45 years. Just in the middle of reorganising my lab at the moment. Kept adding test equipment till the point had very little space to do the actual repairs lol.
Hi Kat, I just read about your Blue Origin flight and the story led me to looking up your TH-cam channel. I think it is great you are so excited about the electronics field and getting others interested as well. This brought back memories for me as I went to a trade school for High School and took electronics, and I was also a bench technician in the Marine Corps in a communication / navigation work center. We used oscilloscopes, signal generators, frequency counters, etc. for repairing the equipment to the component level. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments, especially getting to go to space! I've told my wife if I had a chance to go (especially to the ISS!), I would go in a heartbeat!
Thanks for the tour on how you've set your station up. I'm retired now and I've been looking for a fun hobby in electronics. Thanks again for your time.
This is so cool! My wife is getting me a bench for Christmas. I can’t wait set it up and have a dedicated place for projects. Always wanted something like this
That is soooooooo fun!!!!! It honestly changed my productivity completely. After work I was so tired of my desk, having a place where you can leave everything out and is a different scenery helps!
Nice Electronics Workbench Kat. I always wanted to setup my own Electronics Workbench, tools and equipment. Not an easy task! Finally I have built my own Electronics Workbench. Thanks for sharing. ECErcuit
Very nice set up! Mine is currently in my arms room(unfinished room in the basement) in between my safe and reloading bench. Right now on a small IKEA desk. Little wider than three pieces of test equipment wide. On it I have one of my wife’s old shoe shelves as a rack. Lol it kind of works. Hope to see an update.
Kat, this looks very nice. I would add a multimeter and perhaps a capacitor/inductor tester. Then perhaps a frequency counter. That's all you need. Please post your videos with your projects. Cheers from NYC.
Sorry for my bad english but can you make also videos where you build something with your Tools and can show us how it works? I think it would be very interesting☺️ greatings from germany
excelent video i think i'm going to follow your steps and focus on my studies, i'm currently studying electronics also my brother and i repair cell phones and i want to know how to desing a circuit right from the start
It’s nice to see an inspired young person doing electronics as a hobby. I think you said you also do it professionally too? I wonder what inspired you and got you going? By the way, I’m Chris I’m from central England between Birmingham and Chester (near Liverpool). I started out in electronics myself around 1975 when I was about 10. Wishing you all the very best for the future
One of my work benches is around the same size as yours, but there is very little room to work on items that are more than a square foot in size and certainly no room for things like a drill press. Am working on setting up a proper shop and think I’ll need a bench or two with around thirty square feet. I might need less as I have a lot of test equipment on a server rack…
hahha it is very funny because when you are showing how you have organised things I did the same thing and also during the last lockdown :D and organised in very similar way as you and even I have very similar bags and boxes etc.
That's a really nice layout. I built my bench but want to add a peg board. Checking your link for the component boxes, I can only ever find the ones with the one type of draw, which are too small sometimes
Nice setup, Kat! Very efficiently organized. I see, what looks like, several harbor freight (HF) items, am I right? How are you liking the desk/bench, now that you've used it for a while? I was looking at a setup like that from HF but was unsure of it's sturdiness, does it wobble or flex in any direction? And the peg boards sturdiness? Thanks, Michael
Hi Michael! Yes! The workbench is from HF, originally my plan was to start with something and upgrade the bench if it wasn’t too good BUT I love it so much I’m thinking of adding a second one! It’s not wobbly at all and quite sturdy even with all my textbooks piled on top. The pegboard hasn’t given me any issues, I got the hooks for it at Home Depot. For the price, I’m quite impressed.
Great video Kat! I really like the way your workbench looks. Do you have any Power Supply recommendation? I saw in your webpage the one you have is kind of noisy.
Hi Kat. What is the best way to learn electronics in your opinion? Maybe some training video material? I always wanted to learn about it and I think it is perfect time to do it now.
Hi there! Yes! There are sooo many ways. My favorite book is “Getting Started in Electronics” by Mims, it’s an old book but there are pdfs online and it’s honestly such an amazing intro! I’m sure there are some modern versions but the way they introduce it in this book with diagrams and example circuits/ projects is definitely the way to go! Udemy also has some great courses and they offer discounts all the time!
Maam I just want to ask if Electronics technology graduate can become an electronics engineer? What I'm trying to say here maam is that if I graduated from my course BIT ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY do I have to take Electronics engineering 4 years or 1 or 2 years only since I had already a degree related to Electronics? Please answer maam or If you can create a video please. From PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 thanks in advance 💜
Muy bien, pero recuerda vas a tener más suscripciones si hablas en español y el que no lo entienda que lo aprenda que nosotros somos mayoria. Un gran saludo.

Thank you so much! I love getting the younger generations excited about electronics because it’s just too much fun not to share!😁

Amazing to see young women get into electronics. I am also starting myself as a hobby. I wanting to set up my lab work bench.
I used my dressing room as a electronics lab and literally the lab always looks quite amazing.

Didn't she say she had a dmn in the basket on the peg board?
looks like she has a multimeter in the draw
Lot's of love from Botswana, I'm trying to get into electronics and do small projects at home, this is so informative ❤
Your bench is everything 🤩
THANK YOU!
Amazing workspace!!!!
nice to see you into electronics,
Thanks for the captions
Beautiful workshop I like it
Me encanta, no vi todo aún pero ya lo terminaré.
Siento que mezclas dos estilos de videos de TH-cam. Muy innovador.
My cat would LOVE that organizer way up on the top shelf
Muchas gracias por inspirarme. Saludos desde Colombia.
Would love to watch any updates on it! Love this so much.
I am thinking of doing the same at my place. :) Go Kat!
Sorry for my bad english but can you make also videos where you build something with your Tools and can show us how it works? I think it would be very interesting☺️ greatings from germany
Congrats on your new workbench, it is very organized. You should do another video this time next year to show all the stuff you add to it.
Muxall Open IoT That’s such a great idea!! Even today just a few weeks later there is already so much more 😆
I wish I had all that all I have is a multimeter and soldering iron lol
Can't wait to hear about your projects ! Subscribed

Very good 👍
Good organizational for electronics
Would love to see you build your own custom mechanical keyboard! I’m sure it would be a breeze for you since you already know how to solder!
I got this same desk setup from Harbor Freight and use a JBC setup for soldering. Si se puede!
Great video! This gives me ideas for a workshop of my own at some point!

Thank you!!!(:
Very very good
groovy setup
Hi Kat! any tips of creating your own work bench ? dos and donts?
That's a really nice layout. I built my bench but want to add a peg board. Checking your link for the component boxes, I can only ever find the ones with the one type of draw, which are too small sometimes
Not sure if I listed it in my link but both types of component boxes are from harbor freight (:
@@KatVoltage awesome, thank you!

Kat is in the labbbb get it! I like the magnifying glass
It has a light around the magnifying glass, it's my favorite thing ever!
What do you call those when searching in Amazon? I seem to get only the small ones.

This is the kind I have (:
@@KatVoltage This works. Thanks!
