- As an early investor of Eli Electric, we were invited to test out Eli Electric's first production in the United States called the Eli Zero. In this video, we show you the pros and cons of this vehicle and what my honest thoughts are about this car.

I often agree with you in the eyes of a young person. At 65, I see the as a "this is all that I need" living in a small town. If I went crazy, I would change: 35mph, split seating, folding passenger seat for more trunk-ish space, opening hatch window (like the sun roof). Adding an opening window in the doors... maybe. If it does not change the clean lines.
Perfect Neighborhood Electric Vehicle for living in downtown areas. Simply perfect.
This is a very helpful review. All of the cons are valid. I would buy something like this, but in North America it is simply too slow to be on the road, unless it's narrow enough to fit in the bicycle lanes. Oh, and the windows, that's definitely a no, even if the other issues are resolved. How about a two-piece sliding window....
Thanks for this video because This is useful for me because I am interested in this car here in Tahiti 🇵🇫
25mph killed this idea for me
It’s because you don’t need a license to drive it. It won’t go above 25mph
@mba2ceo You'd put this little thing on the HIGHWAY? This is a neighborhood vehicle, not town to town.
Heck, there's a Blvd in New York that is 30 mph. 😮
My GEM car is faster than that! Kinda pathetic honestly.
The min speed on the main roads is 40 😭
Max speed is 25 mph, it will never go ip the hill
Good solution for me. I drive only tens of miles per month, with one or two trips over fifty miles every few months. One needs to drive roughly fifty miles per day to make a Tesla economical. With the money I would save on this car, I can afford to rent a car for the few long trips.
Excellent review. Thanks.
In several countries in Europe you need a driving license to drive above 25 mph. You also need to be 18 y.o to get a license.
With this car you can drive with out a license and (!) also earlier than at age of 18.
Young teens use those (similar but with motor) cars already everywhere today… and the prices are some times even higher. This Eli is going to be very well accepted by many young people who need to get around and go between home and school etc.
I think it nice have one because live in the country and driving my Jeep to store & back home waste gas!! 😊
Yes I would
The main reason why I won't get this vehicle is because of the range and the top speed. The nimbus halo ev has a higher top speed and range for less money. I really like the side by side two seat design but its too slow for the average American city and at 12k I would rather have something else.
agreed!
is the aircon cool/cold/strong enough ?tnx
I love ut I want one when is it Coming to London England 🇬🇧
It's available in Europe! Not sure about England yet..
I would pay I’m a pay up to $15,000 if they make the speed limit higher than 25 and both windows go down
Yeah it would be great if they had those features you mentioned, this car would definitely sell. On top of that I would also add if they had better distance capacity and not just 70+ miles per charge.
Watched an interview with their CEO. Eli Zero is classified as a NEV in the US & comes in around $12 or $13k.
@@MacEwanRobert You could buy a Nissan leaf for under 10k that'll do 80mph or more.
I would not pay 5 grand!
No way...
top speed is only 25 MPH? that’s below the speed limit in my area.
Exactly why I wouldn't buy this car haha unless they raise the max speed.
It says in the specs it is a 72 v But I am sure you could get a 84v battery this would for sure boost the speed of this. I have an emmo monster s ev bike which top speed is 65KM and hour so not too bad. I can keep up with traffic which city speed is only 40KM an hour so no issues.
You think it'll go faster with a bigger battery?! 🤦🏻♂️
@@fastestmanon3legs454 well the rules in each country would be different. But if you have the 84v and the L,M,H, (low/medium/high) you can go faster. But its more for the battery lasting longer on 1 charge. Speed is good but you must follow your countries speed limit for an ev bike/car rules. here where I am in canada ontario 32km an hour is the limit. I can go faster but to do that I have to acquire a license and have insurance.
We need this in the Philippines
nice!👍
I was ready to invest in this company but now, I don't think I would seeing this vehicle is not suitable for U.S. driving
Yes I would buy it.
awesome!
Hey, trey on which software are you working?
Question is not related to this video.
Hey mate, not sure if you’re asking about BIM or video editing. But I use Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, bluebeam for all BIM related activities. For videos I use Final Cut Pro. Hope that helps!
No sir i am asking about the software which you used as Estimation engineer. As you were mentioned in your previous video "Why I left BIM' you're working as a estimator. So in that context i am asking you. As Estimation engineer which software you are using.
@@ultimatemepdesigns5591 oh for estimating I used to use On-Screen Takeoff for a while but later moved to Bluebeam. Personally I prefer bluebeam. Hope that helps!
3:49 Chevy Bolt EV rolls by!
Atleast raise the mph to 40. I’d get run over going to the grocery store down the street at 25mph
5K max
Max speed is only 25.. not my type..it should be at least 70 max speed. For me to drive it..I travel far each day to work ...so 25 maximum speed. It will take me 2 hours to reach my destination
Where. An buy? Asia? Price
Currently not available in Asia but it starts at $12k USD and available only in Europe.
@@TreyTan thanks alot. Am wondering about how much is shipment to Asia
1200 would have been better
We have proper ev car in USD 10K.
Tata Tiago
I live on my own I don't go far and I don't go fast so I think I would buy it BUT NOT for 10,000 pounds
Top speed is 25mph. What is seatbelt for? Ha!
Really thought you could copy Renault and we wouldnt notice?
Similar to a GEM car
I was until I found out top speed is only 25 mph
No. I wouldn't buy 25000 for that. There's no rollable windows also I don't need all those gadgets in the car.
AC?
Yes, there is AC
Masks are a nice touch
Face nappies
Wow justb12000 I which Ibhad that cash
Why are you wearing a mask in the car by yourselves?!?!
Stupid were brainwashed from Covid 19 😅
China Eli company to Eli Zero from Marcus Li
what were you trying to achieve with your masks?
your comments add nothing of value
Can’t understand you through the mask.
With a top speed of ONLY 25 MPH, it is not a viable option and owned by China and made in China. Also not crash rated as a safe vehicle to meet accident standards
25mph?….. nah, it has to go at least 65MPH..
I'd rather buy a used Toyota Yaris.
For someone like me that doesn't drive I find this pretty cool. I want one.
Too slow for a Micro EV. It’s a glorified golf cart. For $12000 put some extra horsepower to convince me to buy this.
These cars are obviously designed for people who don't need a micro car. The furthest I'd drive it is the post office a mile away. Any further and I'd need 35 mph to keep up with the NEEDS of the people behind me. Using one of these on a 35 mph road is figuratively giving other drivers the bird. The laws need to be changed so the cars will have to fit into reality. I'd buy a 35 mph version of this for $8000. I know they're just getting started and need the money for production but I'm not an early adopter. What I did do is spend just over $5k for a conversion that fits my Ford Ranger and I'll take off the bed and build a battery rack as low on the frame as is practical and add a shallow bed for cargo. The top speed of my truck will be 65 mph before removing the engine so I think it will be a better investment than this car after $4000 in batteries.
25 mph creates a hazard for other drivers. Should be able to do at least 50 mph.
I love that little car… 😍😍😍
Ma di costo non si parla mai?
No I would not pay $12 k USD for this vehicle. I am an apartment dweller and don’t have a driveway to charge it in. Top speed 25 mph is too slow. I drive errands that require 40 mph. BYD Build Your Dreams Seagull is in the same price range (before punitive US taxes). That is a highway ready real car.
Looks awesome and I want one but its not going to work in the US unless you can go 45mph. I can't even get out of my drive way at 25mph. I ride my ebike to work, but I can go 40mph. Such a cool concept but they need to classify it as a motorcycle in the US so we can use it faster.
You could get a used Nissan Leaf for around 8k that's highway capable.
A year later and their website does not show much headway. $12,000 is a steep ask.
Regulations wise, is this equal to a regular small car like a toyota wigo?
How can i purchase this living in the caribbean
Need a spot for your golf clubs.
Is that car here in the USA to purchase?
