For those who don't know, the Great Gazoo is from the last season of the Flintstones and is considered to be what doomed the entire show. He was a magical spaceman from the future who was sent into the past to do the bidding of Fred and Barney as punishment, and only they could see him. Gazoo could pretty much do anything and it was absolutely bizarre and nonsensical for a show about cavemen. Him appearing here as a weird villain pretending to be good is such a funny good modern use for him.
Of all the changes to characters in this series, the only one that baffles me is making Ruff and Reddy robots for some unexplained reason. Nice to know they at least had an episode that does something with it.
NGL, I love the sprite artwork for Bunny Blasters. Also, you can kind of tell the Great Gazoo isn't really apart of the game by how much he sticks out compared to the rest of it... Speaking of, this is an interesting way to work Gazoo into this show. Helps support the idea that the Flintstones are actual people in this world and not just characters in a romance novel or faces to put on bowties.

When Warner/DC Comics did modern reboot comics a few years ago Gazoo was the title of the alien sent to Bedrock as a "park warden" to make sure other aliens did not interfere with the development of humans.- "You can only shoot a Fred Flintstone if you have a Flintstone hunting license and if you don't have a license I shoot you"
The show features the likes of Paul F. Tompkins, Thomas Lennon, and Ron Funches. Pretty much the kind of comedians that have appeared on the short lived Comedy Central @Midnight show. In fact, I'd be more surprised if Flula didn't pop up as some character here or there.

@Will N well in all reality he kinda is, he hasn’t actually appeared in anything since The original live action Scooby Doo movie, which came out in 2002, almost a whole decade ago, from there only small references and call backs have been rarely made to him. So while maybe not as obscure as some of the other characters in this show, he is certainly more obscure than most other Scooby Doo characters.

I have no idea why he has a German accent now... but tbh it sounds more like he is trying to imitate Albert Einstein. Which makes sence, Einstein was a little crazy, just like Mr. Gazoo.

The running theory is it's a joke about how utterly crap their old animation was, to the point it looked stiff and robotic. H-B wasn't exactly Disney.
That does make a lot of sense, but I get the feeling it's more of a "why NOT robots?" situation.
