Great review Ben!! I went last week and compared both the Tournament and the Airity and to be honest I was disappointed with the finish of both of them, the print on both were cheap and didn’t warrant paying £120/£130 even though they were stiff and light! Now the Guru, WOW!! This is a bit of kit and if you ask some of the smaller shops they will give you one for about £160. The finish is superb and after comparing with the 2 Daiwa handles it’s worth every penny. Please check one out before splashing the cash on one of the Daiwa ones because trust me you will be disappointed!! Keep up the good work Ben, really enjoy the vids!!
Great Review👍 Can anyone tell me the difference between the Daiwa Tournament & the Airity landing net handles please..? Are they the same landing nets just different years apart? Or were they designed for different purposes..?
I don't like mini extensions, but what I do like is my 5.5m Cresta IDentity Accellerate Pro Power Handle. Do a review of that. The best combination of strength, weight and stiffness in my opinion.
Took me a while to get the tournament got it for £113 love it cant see me swooping for a while but the aventus looks great but on a different note I actually have made one what I can have at just over 3m and just over 4m and maybe 5m from a old pole which is light and stiff Cheers Mate.
@@johnfairhurst9118 Guru is still too much money. They are no better than Daiwa, just like the Aventus reels and feeder rods compared to the Tournaments, but even more expensive. Guru is good at rebranding and especially marketing.
My F1 broke within 2 months, lifting a 7lb bream. Guru customer service refused to replace it, stating that this was « too much strain ». But the F1 is targeted at F1 fish, which can grow to 10lb….! Frankly, the tube material is very thin and clearly not fit for purpose. Won’t be buying any more garbage from Guru.
More like this please. Side by side comparisons are the way forward.
Very helpful to those like me who don't get the chance to compare like this.
no problems
Great review Ben. Couldn’t ask for more info. Cheers.
Thanks Johnathan

Great review Ben ,we shouldn't underestimate the need for quality landing nets and this certainly looks that, albeit exspensive👍
Absolutely
I've got a 5m n-zon and it's great at full length and really good at shorter lengths too.
Yeah reviewed that good bit of kit
Hi please make Yuki neox ctt landing landle review, it weight 275gr
Excellent review Ben, The guru looks slightly stiffer looking at the camera angle.👍👌
Only at 4m

Not see that one ill keep my eye out
I got the guru engauge handle
I also have the free spirit match cant decide which is best .
The best by far is the free spirit imo.
That Guru looks identical to it with a mini extension added
Free spirt is good
Great review 👍🏻🎣
Thanks Craig

yeah great handle. I prefer it without first section & with extension on rock solid
Brilliant review mate is the f1 landing net worth the money
yeah very strong and light
My problem with any Guru products is the prices, £180 for a LANDING NET handle give me a break...
You don’t have to buy it it’s a premium item there are tons of cheaper options
Agreed

Wouldn't surprise me if Daiwa actually made the Guru landing net handle, didn't they make Guru rods?
yeah agreed
It’s no secret that it’s Daiwa made.
Yes they did you also have too remember the guru Poles are not British made too, so the landing net will be Slightly out in diameter
Have you tried the free spirit match combi? It's a bit special
Yeah a good bit of kit
Had a tournament net pole but got shut when I got a Middy xz65 net pole…. Middy is stronger and stiffer at same weight +/- a few gms.
Interesting
I've seen the aventus handles are I'm seriously considering one, how does it compare to the Matrix 5.5m handle which is significantly cheaper
blows it away. I had the Matrix got rid didn't like it.
How does the Guru compare to the 4m preston response is it worth the extra money.
Response is a great handle. The guru is newer carbon so stiffer. I would imagine a superium handle coming soon
Are you warm in that jacket Ben ??
cold in shop bud
@@Angling4U That's no good for paying customers . They need to invest in some heaters.
guru do put there items over priced IMO! can get a tourney at £115 at fishermans friend! no way the guru is around £60 more!
A lot of money It is better i suppose everything has gone up and it is longer. For me they should make a 4m most people would buy that
Love guru as I've most things guru but wouldn't Swap my tournament for the world
I love mine too

I need to take out a mortgage far to expensive
Nah. All about budgets pay your money take your choice. Lots of handles at the lower mid budgets that are good
