“They are too cheap to pay a dumpster “ I’m still on the floor laughing 😂😂
This is why the wise Eric O from south main auto always says,"not all cars at the auction are junk, but all junk cars are at the auction "
Makes very little sense. Most vehicles at auction are not junk. Most junk vehicles are on Facebook Marketplace...
@@scottysgarage4393 It's 50/50. If you want to put the effort in to get a bit more for your piece of crap at the risk of potentially having it a few months longer you try to sell it yourself. If that's too much of a hassle you'll give it to the dealer as a tradein for $ExpectedAuctionPrice - $TransportCost and they'll dump it in an auction.
@@scottysgarage4393it makes perfect sense...there could be good cars at the auction and there could be bad cars at the auction..
Scott, you're doing a huge service to those that watch these videos man...teaching us how to actually look for things that just aren't right from a rebuilder's point of view. Don't stop this educational side of your videos man.
You're smashing it, keep it coming!
OMG, in my 22 years working at one of the larger auto auctions, this is about the worst example of "what never to bid on" I've ever seen!! Thanks for the vid!!!
Someone should troll these guys and offer them a deal on drywall screws.
@@vehcor I checked their website and almost everything they sell comes with at least half a box. It’s crazy.
I'm always amazed at your "eye", Scott. Keep up the good work.
I appreciate your comment, but only a blind armless person would be fooled by this one...
Keep on exposing this FRAUDS Scott God help all th folks that got burned by these guys this ROBBERY has to come to an end
This video series has been great. Following all your how-to tips I've been averaging an extra $2000 on each scam car I run thru the auction. Nail polish is great for hiding the drywall screw heads for pictures. Thanks for the support !
That's why I've been going with alien tape and velco so I don't have to hide the wood screws any more
that's what I've said before: talk about cheap, $5 rattle can of touch up paint would hide all those screw heads.
I really like these videos, a person can certainly learn a lot. Keep them coming!
You've trained me to look for drywall screws every time I watch one of these videos lmao
I haven’t watched one of your video in years and you still look exactly the same props to you for staying in shape and continuing to post 👌
That truck belongs "In The Pile".
Up here in Canuckistan, there's easily $15K worth of parts. A local salvage yard charges $500 less than a full rebuild for a used engine. $900 for a cylinder head, etc etc etc. Good rust free truck boxes go for $1500. They wanted $150 for a ford factory radio so I said F that, bought a kenwood for $90
COME ON MAN!$200 bucks in new parts and she'll be CHERRY.🤣
And now we know what you did on your vacay to Florida. That's MY kind of vacation!
I took a day to do some work. 8 hour commute for 2 hours of work. Luckily it only rained for 7.9 hours of the commute! I thought this was the sunshine state!
Places like this make me sick. They should be indicted and charged with fraud
Yeah, total train wreck. Most don't know what to look for at these auctions and they get taken by the dry wall screw guys. Thanks for these videos!
Guess who’s not welcome back to elite motors yard 😊
Ooh... the limited edition Frankensierra! Great video Scott!
Love the plot twist in person inspections 😂. Keto up the great work from one rebuilder to another. Always great videos.
Great video, I love these! Thank you!
Love you for doing this,a lot of people would buy this not knowing.thanks John from Arizona
Thanks, Scott, for showing that to us.
With a hit that hard the chances the entire drive train isn’t trash is as likely as Brandon not needing a diaper.
At 3:13 if you look at the floorboard, the transmission tunnel is wrinkled. Those wrinkles in the floor mat shouldn't be there.
I fell for one of these miami cars...a corvette ..2014..the front frame rails were literally black silicone around cardboard ..for pictures..and the same techniques to hold up bumper.. of course auctions are final, and you have a very inconvenient, limited window.. I'm repairing my car..but much more costly than the damage appeared...and I didn't know back then to look up the Vin for pictures...and I found them...avoid MIAMI
Fantastic video. I have been visiting Salvage Auctions since the 70's and thought I have seen it all. People continue to amaze me, however. One thing I would add to you videos (and this vehicle would be a good thing to check this on) is to look for impacts to the front of the motor around the crank area involving the Crank Pulley or front of the Oil Pan
Fraud is fraud, no matter how you look at it and these auction companies are just as guilty. I'm surprised state attorney's office hasn't done anything about this. Scott you got great "eyes" in noticing these things! Thank you!
That Elite Motors from Miami appears to be a bunch of Scamming Scoundrels!
Seems to be a lot of these doctored vehicles showing up.
Reminds me of a suspiciously cheap Honda CRV I was looking into buying. Its Carfax said no accidents reported. Struggled to start, and once it did, the metal on metal grinding noise when it's low on oil was obvious.
Test drive, shifted too late and shifted VIOLENTLY.
The body shop manager where I work at had a field day with it. Hiding evidence that it had been in at least two bad wrecks (rear ended and T boned) and put together poorly. Driveshaft was shoved forward into the transmission and it was leaking oil pretty good. It looked good on the outside though
Thanks Scott, you have an odd way of vacationing, but I like it. LOL
I can't believe that people even try to rebuild these newer vehicles as cheaply as they are building them. Seems to me like all new cars are disposable. One hit wonders. One hit and you wonder how it passed inspection
Good on the guy taking the video at the aution site. Lets everyone see just how bad this is, and the scammers don't get to just throw some parts at this and send it, without everyone else knowing how busted up this truck really is.
Even without the damage from the accident, I'm a bit shocked at the amount of corrosion visible in the engine at 3:19. That alternator looks like it's been exposed to salt water for a decade as well as visible rust. So if I was buying this and it had never been in an accident, that's a lot of rust for an engine that's only three years old.
Just waiting to see some drywall mud to go with all those drywall screws.
Sorry I missed you on your trip to south Florida. I had a medical problem and was in hospital from June 2 till June 22, maybe next time. Okeechobee here.
Looks like a complete total. Frame, body, electrical, airbags, etc... why anyone would attempt to fix such a disaster is beyond me.
Thanks For the Info ...........
I cant believe some people who are looking for something to rebuild wouldn't look as closely as you do and would buy something like this. This is crazy and seem to get worse and worse as you show us each one.
Someone new to the rebuild game would look at it and think they need a bumper and some work on the cab. Those are the people that pay way too much and new ones seem to turn up every day.
@@vehcor Thats true. Its a shame not everyone can get your tutoring on the scammers.
Excellent enjoyable and enjoyable video.
WTF. How does the auction let this crap back on the lot.
Guess money talks. I have to touch every one i bid on. Lately not but Harley salvage. Easy fixes easy sales. But not high bucks.
Thanks Scott for making people aware of these scum bags.
I don’t know if enough people complain to the auction or it just goes unnoticed. They run 50 or so a week and keep rerunning them so the auction is making money every time.
That truck is toast.
You sure are doing the unsuspecting buyers of these doctored up wrecks a favour. Are there no car checker companies like Car Vertical stateside? Over here for a reasonable fee you can check the history of a vehicle complete with insurance photos of damage. Keep the videos coming ,in the hope that they give up on this blatantly fraudulent effort.
Might seriously damage the drywall screw sales if they do!😅
Not everything gets reported and new buyers enter the market everyday and learn a costly lesson. They are hoping to find someone looking for a quick fix.
YAY! I love these videos!
Glad you like them. I just ran into a guy that has been in the business longer than me and he got stuck with one of these.
That truck is bowed, looks like a U
Thanks..
Great Job!!! Thank You... :-)
I'm starting to think have you chosen to become a detective or an officer you'd be a darn good one.💪
Happy Thursday, Scott!🍻 For some reason, I had a feeling you were gonna drop a video today! Now, only if I can harness that feeling for lottery numbers!🤣
Good luck on the lottery! I just donate money when I play, so I don’t play. 😂
@vehcor yeah, that's all I do as well. That's why I don't play either.
I still use Craigslist!! Mainly because I'm not on any social media such as facebook, etc
THE truck..professional grade. Lol
That should have been issued a certificate of Destruction or Parts only no title.
How can they sleep at night, doing this kind of business, shady ass mfs, the sad part is that good people gets robbed by this guys
these guys are the worst.
they buy the cars, straighten out some parts or replace from another car then bump the price up. Avoid at all costs
Did you have a follow up on the Fire at the Shop? and did you relocate?
🇨🇦🤓🤟
I sent these hack jobs a nice email asking what are they trying to hide and mentioned about the drywall screws... Lol
Poor truck took a hard beating.
If you don't thumbs up this vid, you probably were working on this truck!
I can only imagine what their boneyard looks like of the parts cars that weren't "good" enough to be sent to auction. This company is probably keeping a recycling center in business all by themselves.
I don’t think they have a bone yard. All their junk makes it back to the auction no matter how bad it is.
That truck was obliterated. Hardly anything on the outside is salvageable
Hello Scottie the man !
Odd how their website doesn't work...
Truck looks toasted !
I wouldn't doubt they had the internet scrubbed. It happens far too often but usually for gov't or larger organizations. I may not remember the fine details but I will read a report or article and then 3 weeks later when referring to it, hey, where'd it go?
Somebody more Tech Savvy wouldn't be buffed up like You... no time for Gyms and weight lifting...😂
🇨🇦🤓🤟
There isn't any money to be made even in parts after counting your time parting it out and selling the parts. 11k is a joke. This is why I only buy new trucks or private party from my area that I can trace the history on.
Wow, what kind of hit would have to take to get the bed to flex into the cab?
I wonder what the percentage of people who just buy without inspection end up with this crap and out their money.
Hi Scott i'll show you a tip to look behind the posted stuff on websites, index of scammer car dude/pics . and anything else you want to look at
Here on the border to Texas and Mexico we call them carniceros meaning butchers...
Probably the old pictures are still on your computer in the cache temp folder,
from looking at the body lines by the cab and bed plud the way the front is a little to the passenger side this truck has a major bent frame i am guessing
Looks good in photos. Useless on internals.. Is that legal??
Buyer. Beware. Goes. For. The. Auction. House. Too. Thanks
Thanks for sharing. Appreciate your effort going to the site. Regards, Peter, Norway
Dang that's the worse one I've seen you cover yet.
Amazing nobody has sued them for fraud yet. Brabus is suing them for selling counterfeit Brabus products. That should be a fun case.
Good parts truck. That's it. Unless you have a you tube channel like Roadkill and want to remove the body and make it an off road "frame truck." Just a thought.
there is not ten grand worth of parts in that wreck
They spent more windshields than what the truck is worth... Maybe a couple of grand for the transmission? but even that may be damaged since the driveshaft is bent.
The exterior of the front end is basically just a shell. And the "kernel" is very far away ...
maybe you save the outside mirrors & tires?
Bet money the engine block and transmission are cracked.
motor bet is off mounts.
The only way that this would be halfway worth it is if you had a C.O.D. truck with a good frame and drivetrain. But good luck finding one.
Im sure you don't look at them a whole lot but can you look at some maybe doctored up vehicles from the 2000s and see how they did it with older cars?
No one is doctoring older cars for the auction, there isn’t enough money in it. I guess I will have to do it myself! 😂
don't forget to take some screenshots next time
ELITE MOTOR CARS LLC SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS FOR FRAUD. THIS SORT OF CRAP BEING ALLOWED TO CONTINUE IS UNNEXCEPTIBLE
Ironically most of their bad reviews don’t come from their hack work.
Buyer beware. In this case VERY AWARE.Actually RUN FOREST RUN!
All caps and poor spelling are also unacceptable
@@sammydavis991 No punctuation is also unacceptable.
Agreed but if someone buys that they're at fault as well. People should know better by now.
