They are in the visitors' locker room at the Chiefs stadium, and each locker has the Raiders shield, on a silver background and with the number of each of the players. That did impress me.
AP might not be the best offensive or defensive mind, but he sure as hell is the best at unifying the locker room. He was handed just about the worst hand a HC can get dealt. Divided locker room, mid season coaching change, and a broken mentality. This man turned the whole thing around. Sure, we had our bad games with him as a head coach, but we had some of our greatest ones as well. Biggest win in franchise history (against a division rival, no less), a Christmas win over KC, and extending our streak to 8-0 over Denver. If that doesn’t earn him the job, then I don’t know what he would’ve had to do otherwise. He has earned the right to compose his own staff and not use a hand-me-down offensive playbook and a rookie OC. AP is the path forward, he brought the grit, determination, and will to win back to the Silver and Black. Harbaugh would be a great choice, if we didn’t already have the man for the job in the locker room already. As AP said: “Ill Intent. Violence. Physicality.” and “We don’t want to be liked, we want to be respected.” If that’s not what Al would want, I don’t know what is.
Throughout the history of the Raiders there're been many Head Coaches but only a few have had an impact such as the likes of @antoniopierce. It’s not always about just X’s and O’s. You have to know how to lead men from all backgrounds, and AP is very capable. He’s walked that path and faced plenty of adversity in life and he’s proven over and over again, that he’s relentless and that reflected to our Raiders team who was down and out halfway through the season and when AP took over, he brought that spark and revived what was expected to just get by the rest of the season but he put his stamp on this team.
