    Awesome thank you. I was afraid of the difficulty of balancing it since it was top heavy but then i flipped it like you said and it made a huge difference.

      That’s great. And I think it actually works quite well in both ways. But ofcourse better flipped.

    You're the man Chris! Thank you for doing this video. I have the same set up but with the 24-70 lens but my motor that controls the up and down just to the right of the camera, sorry I don't know the term for it, keeps humming and buzzing like it's really unbalanced when I'm using it but when I do balance check it says it's balanced so I'm wondering if you have any advice?

    • @ChrisSpiegl
      @ChrisSpiegl 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Darrell, I actually also had that happen recently and am trying to figure out where that came from. Never happened with my EOS R but now with the R5C it's happening… strange.

    Good idea, to use a L-Bracket! I‘d simply keep my SmallRig Black Mamba Cage around the camera. So I could use the Arca Swiss side, of the R6 cage.

    • @ChrisSpiegl
      @ChrisSpiegl 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely, if you’re already using a cage with that feature that’s ofcourse the best. But I think I cut that thought 💭 out of the video: I don’t like and don’t want to use a full cage since I like to have a bit of a lighter kit on that front and don’t need the extra mounting points. 👌

      @@ChrisSpiegl there are new rumours about the 16 f2.8 RF Pancake - might be a great Addition to the 35 f1.8.
      The Black Mamba cage is quite light in weight (150gramm)

    • @ChrisSpiegl
      @ChrisSpiegl 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MartinLeschinski/videos That could be quite promising. But only in weight and probably price. In versatility I will most likely still prefer the 15-35mm f/2.8. But for gimbal work the a prime 16mm f/2.8 could be incredible.

    Can you buy the cage and use the quick release plate that comes with the gimbal or do you need to purchase all the parts ?

    • @ChrisSpiegl
      @ChrisSpiegl ปีที่แล้ว

      In theory, you can place the gimbal quick release plate and screw it to the vertical / L-bracket. Then you don't need the extra quick release system.

  • @gabrigework

    Chris great video, I bought the weebill 2 on Amazon exclusively for the portrait function. But I realize that I have sold my Weebill S in vain because it was enough to mount an additional plate to do the same things. Given that I sent back the weebill2 because it sent the canon R6 as a block, but what is the real advantage between the weebill S and the 2? Thank you

    • @ChrisSpiegl
      @ChrisSpiegl 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure what the advantages would be (by the numbers) since I do not have them both. I remember that I preferred the feature list of the Weebill 2 Pro over the S when I was shopping for it.

      I don't own the Weebill S… with the Weebill 2 Pro it works fine and I can balance all the lenses I own. The heaviest would be the 15-35mm f/2.8 with the R5 C and it works.

      I found those things on Amazon. Those are sadly not products that have specific names which are universal all around the world (like AirPods are). So, you may have to do some searching for yourself. I do have some links in the description which should help a little pointing you in the right direction.

      I'd guess so, but I have not tested it for obvious reasons (not having a 90D).
      But it's pretty universal anyways.

    Hi! How can i use the clip capture v3 with this gimbal? I need the same accesories?

    • @ChrisSpiegl
      @ChrisSpiegl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So you have a camera which has the quick release plate from the Capture Clip V3 from Peak Design?
      To use the same clip to also put it on the Weebill (or any other gimbal for that matter) you just need a Arca-Swiss compatible quick release base. There are some different ones on Amazon. Depending on your country the links in my description may help you further. I'd look into one which has a quick release clamp and also keep in mind that it is "flush enough" so that it does not have a huge knob or such.

    Great video! I'm wondering if the gimbal will stay stabilized when zooming in or out. I just bought the RF 24-70 and I would love to use it on my gimbal as well and I saw that the Weebill makes this possible. However, I'm not sure about this in portrait mode. Could I keep it stabilized when zooming in?

    • @ChrisSpiegl
      @ChrisSpiegl 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's best to rebalance with the new zoom factor since the weight shifts significantly (or balance to the middle between your max zoom points).
      Also, the zooming only works with the Zoom Motor and not electrically. However, the Focus does give you the option to be controlled electronically without an additional motor needed.
      The cool thing with the Zoom + Motor is that you can get some incredible Vertigo Effects going 👍.
