Aww I love seeing how similar and yet how different this production was from the American productions. I would have killed to see them live! This cast is fantastic!
I agree but she still looks amazing!! She is now playing Sophie in Mamma Mia at the Novello!! There are 2 Wendlas in Mamma Mia right now actually. Charlotte of the London Company and also (my friend) Christy Altomare (Wendla on the 1st National North American Tour) is doing Sophie on Broadway!!
they are so cute! They actually act like 14 year old girls. Believe me, I am one. And I love the way they put out their hands when the mics are coming. They just look so posh and...British. x]
@brotherman154 Yeah... I've got the problem that I'm playing Hanschen in my uni's production and my mum is quite keen on coming. Which is kind of awkward.
@TheSilverphoenix88 The songs are supposed to be relief for the characters and their chanve for them to get to say everything they can't say out load - part of the relief is that the songs are set now rather than the 1800s - hence why in Bitch of Living there's a line about taking calls as well x
I love the thea in this, she's adorable and she seems like shes got such a different energy than others that have played the part i love it. also, i think the hanschens great in everything else but his part in this seems a little overacted
Personally, I think the show sounds MUCH BETTER with British accents. Now when they sing the rock songs, it would sound more like the Sex Pistols and their girlfriends (in a good way). I even read the script with an accent.
@rorolilred yeah, i understood that, yet, they had telephones back then, and i know the actors in a way break character to communicate with the modern audience, i just thought it was funny, i mean, it would be funnier and genious if they said "i go up to my room put my ipod on"
t3:46, wow, hey had stereos at that time? ok, i know it's a metaphor or something, i just like how they use the word stereo and not what they used at that time, cuz every teen has the same rebellious thought
"How can you even compare them?!" Love that line from Evelyn, makes me giggle.
Best part! = 4:02 when Thea waves at someone sitting on the stage seats and then dances just for that person the rest of the song! :)
The vocals are so much prettier in British accents
I know I'm pretty randomly asking but do anyone know a good place to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Boston Juan flixportal :D
@Nash Elian thank you, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D Appreciate it !!
@Boston Juan happy to help =)
4:29
As the song reaches its climax, so does Hanschen (the actual stage direction)
your favourite stage direction
I can confirm, lmao
This Hanschen is so funny!

Thea is amazing 👑
the woman playing the piano teacher is Amelia Bones in Harry Potter & The Order Of The Phoenix!
Just superb: an awesome cast in a fantastic musical

t3:46, wow, hey had stereos at that time?

They're the original (only) London cast.
