The most beautiful song about Higurashi and captures the essence of the entire series perfectly. People need to realise there is more to this anime than just blood and death.
This Anime is simply an impressive masterpiece of modern art. The story, the mystery, the characters, the music, the backstory, the atmosphere, the narrative style, the thriller and horror elements, the love put into it, the designs - I could go on forever. It's one of the best Anime I've ever seen and there are layers of depth to it western media and even a shit ton of other Anime can't even dream of having. There will always be a special place in my heart for this Anime.

Likewise there's more to this sound novel than just anime. If you're really about that deeper meaning stuff, how about appreciating and crediting the source?
I just finished this series 30 minutes ago, I gotta say it's 100% tied for my favorite fictional series of all time. Even if the visual novel is about 100 hours long, I can't remember a single minute where I was bored. The story just immerses you into Hinamizawa so well, and uses its long length to allow you to build up emotional attachments to each character, and also place them in interesting situations each arc and develop them much further than what you initially thought of them. Not only that, but it ties its themes about trust, miracles, working together, and the dangers of scapegoating into the story in such an unforgettable way, so that it really convinces you to believe in what the story is trying to tell you. A true masterpiece.
I just love Keiichi's character. He is the one who always gave hope to the group. When you really say "power of friendship" it is actually this anime and it isn't cheesy. Rarely saw such a powerful anime with such a powerful character like Keiichi.
Those kids deserve a better ending where everyone is alive and happy. They’ve been through so much pain and yet they changed their fates over and over. There is nothing more valuable than friendship.
This is still my favorite anime, and this song perfectly captures what makes it such an incredible series. After so much heartache and bloodshed, they were finally able to break free. This series deserves to be ranked as one of the most beautiful stories of all time, right along with Clannad, The Count of Monte Cristo, Les Miserables, and others.
I find that most very heartfelt animes, like higurashi and clannad, started out as visual novels, which were amazing in their own way. Just imagine, we wouldn't have these awesome animes if people didn't make awesome visual novels and received a lot of attention. I'm glad some visual novels get popular and animes are made for them, because it spreads the knowledge of these games and then this supports the release of future visual novels. Daniel Lundberg I rather disagree. The Visual Novels are constructed in such a way that if you know what's coming, it actually hits harder because you start to see that it's focused with those twists in mind. For instance, the dynamic between Keiichi and Rena is addressed more in Onikakushi-hen than it is in the next 4 novels combined. This song is just aesome. It explains what Higruashi truly is and the great themes behind it. Too many people get caught up on the murder and fail to see the real beauty in the series. (P.S. I like what you did with the chibis :3)
This song...really makes me wanna hug my best friends. I mean, seriously. It shows that there isn't a person in the world that knows you better than the friends that help you through hardships. I think it's SO important to have friends that can help you through anything, and that you can trust. Great song. TRULY great song.
This has got to be the best song from any anime. Especially Horie Yui's part after they do their little "cheer" talk. 5:13 Then again, this could just be because my mind associates the song to the story instantly and that makes the emotions of the song all that more poignant. Love the instrumental of this too though.
I always thought that Reina had this really strange line compared to everyone else. I always thought that she was literally saying people who are losers are worthless, which really confused me. It took me all the way up until the last episode of Kai when Reina actually says it in context to figure out what she meant, now I love it.
The feeling I feel when I listen to the entire cast signing at once... it's an odd combination of "heartwarming" and "awesome". Such a strong, pure feeling, though.
This is making me tear up this is so sweet all of them singing together and their lyrics that relate to their own Tragic back story's and to the whole story in a way .
This anime is like no other. It makes you think of our life, and the imprints we make on our earth. It also makes us think of justice, and how the truth is sometimes held only in the eye of the person or people there. It leaves you with a feeling of peace, fear, and love. I cried when I heard this song, because of the message and how all of these characters sing together as one. I strongly recommend this anime. It's.....Absolutely wonderful.
I am currently sitting under the Night Dky in Shirakawa-go and have drunk 3 cups of Sake and listening to this... i think i will dedicate my Life now for the Goal to Live in here.
Very happy to see Satoshi there too, because in my opinion Satoshi didn't get enough attention in the main show. So, I think the main idea was for "important teens" to sing. Also, does anyone know a song in which voice actor of Takano, Oishi or Irie sing? Let me know, please ;)
This song is beautiful in so many ways. I hope someday I'm also able to create bonds with some people nearly as strong as the bonds those characters developed throughout the series. And of course, I hope it doesn't include all the murder and gore parts, hahaha!
Mion disappearing is an editing error USODA, you know the Gou plot 10 years ahead and have been looping to tell us all along she was first to disappear from the bonds. This level of reasoning was possible for Furudo Erika. What do you think, everyone?

Just watched the first episode. I'm ready to go through the pain all over again just so I can feel the joy again at the end.
It's not a remake how sad
mion disappearing was oyashirosamas curse
Pigziggy lawl
xD
Wait What are you talking about? XD
CrazedSmiles so you haven’t watch the anime yet
Little did we know, it foreshadowed Gou...
This song is just aesome. It explains what Higruashi truly is and the great themes behind it. Too many people get caught up on the murder and fail to see the real beauty in the series. (P.S. I like what you did with the chibis :3)
I'M NOT CRYING
Then what are those droplets pouring from your eyes?
LOL those droplets
I'm not crying! You're crying!
really i am cuz i dont have friends and i wish i had friends
+Cheese Heater no you're crying
Always remember, the bonds you have with your love ones are always far more stronger than your problems❤
This song...really makes me wanna hug my best friends. I mean, seriously. It shows that there isn't a person in the world that knows you better than the friends that help you through hardships. I think it's SO important to have friends that can help you through anything, and that you can trust. Great song. TRULY great song.
Funny that Rika mentions "Miracles". There's at least three layers of meaning to her using the word miracle in this song...
This has got to be the best song from any anime. Especially Horie Yui's part after they do their little "cheer" talk. 5:13
Then again, this could just be because my mind associates the song to the story instantly and that makes the emotions of the song all that more poignant. Love the instrumental of this too though.
This song... the background... fill people who grew up in village/town with much more nostalgy than those who grew up in cities
I always thought that Reina had this really strange line compared to everyone else. I always thought that she was literally saying people who are losers are worthless, which really confused me. It took me all the way up until the last episode of Kai when Reina actually says it in context to figure out what she meant, now I love it.
いやー、いつ聞いてもいい曲です
Tv tropes sent me here, finished Higurashi some months ago, crying so much right now, geez
This song made me want to rewatch higurashi. xD
This song made me want to WATCH higurashi! in fact... *Sprints into a pirated anime site*
After so many years still my favorite anime Im so happy new people got interested on it now with the new season !
2020 .. im still love higurashi
facts
i cry literally every time
This is one of, if not the only video I can consistently come back to and get chills from. It's wonderful.
I would say I like the twins the best. They were so interesting to me. Rika and satoko are good too. It was kinda weird hearing keichi sing.
Im not crying... Just some dust went into my eyes :'(
The feeling I feel when I listen to the entire cast signing at once... it's an odd combination of "heartwarming" and "awesome". Such a strong, pure feeling, though.
Also this song was great everyone sang it nicely
Friendship goes through any kind of storm without losing its power
That is what Higurashi taught me :D
1:40
maybe,
About destiny and the courage to fight
↓
About the courage to fight against destiny
agree
Gou stop it, you are hurting meeeeeeee
Since I could meet my friends here in Hinamizawa. That is the miracle of this story.
Higurashi really is a beautiful anime...and it’s crazy...and that’s why I love it even more😭❤️
It's the greatest anime of all times. Thank you
HOLY- I REGRET WATCHING THIS IN THE MORNING FULL OF PEOPLE, I'M STARTING TO TEAR UP AHHH THIS IS SO TOUCHING I CAN'T
Hello old friend.
I miss 2016
I love this song! It reminds me of the bonds that the characters made in Kai. I WANNA TAKE IT HOME!
Yui Horie and Yukari Tamura have a beautiful voice !
This is making me tear up this is so sweet all of them singing together and their lyrics that relate to their own Tragic back story's and to the whole story in a way .
the visual novel is the most fulfilling higurashi experience. no other higu media will compare. ooogh...
I've never watched this anime but this song still makes me cry.
Watch it, it’s worth it
read the vn and then watch the anime! it's a magical experience
Did You watch it already? :)
一生色褪せない名曲とアニメ
This anime is like no other. It makes you think of our life, and the imprints we make on our earth. It also makes us think of justice, and how the truth is sometimes held only in the eye of the person or people there. It leaves you with a feeling of peace, fear, and love. I cried when I heard this song, because of the message and how all of these characters sing together as one. I strongly recommend this anime. It's.....Absolutely wonderful.
Dear You - Kizuna
Sung by Yukari Tamura (Rika), Yui Horie (Hanyu), Mai Nakahara (Rena), Sochiro Hoshi (Keiichi), Yu Kobayashi (Satoshi), Mika Kanai (Satoko) and Satsuki Yukino (Mion & Shion)
I got chills when they all started singing together. This is my favorite version of this song c':
I am currently sitting under the Night Dky in Shirakawa-go and have drunk 3 cups of Sake and listening to this... i think i will dedicate my Life now for the Goal to Live in here.
Five years later, and this song still gets to me every time.
Higurashi will always hold a special place in my heart.
dude i LOVE rikas voice, shes one of my favorite anime characters of all time!!!!
i love satoko and she has a really good voice
Satoko's my girl. I love her too.
I love this song! In fact, I LOVE all the songs in the Dear You album! They all give me such chills......in a good way! 😁😭😉
I think it was cool how the character(s) was highlighted or became colorful when singing
Once at year I rewatch higurashi, the most beautiful anime I' ve ever seen
Very happy to see Satoshi there too, because in my opinion Satoshi didn't get enough attention in the main show.
So, I think the main idea was for "important teens" to sing.
Also, does anyone know a song in which voice actor of Takano, Oishi or Irie sing?
Let me know, please ;)
hear this song at the end of higurashi sotsu, made me so happy
I really want to assemble a group in my school to perform this. It would be so much fun
satoko sounds cuuuuuuuuuute 😆
This song is beautiful in so many ways. I hope someday I'm also able to create bonds with some people nearly as strong as the bonds those characters developed throughout the series. And of course, I hope it doesn't include all the murder and gore parts, hahaha!
Hearing this makes me want to make a rythm game, something like "Higurashi no Dansu Koro Ni", and make this the grand finale song.
Satoshi, please come back to your friends :'(
It's so.... BEAUTIFUL !!! I LOVE IT !!
I'm so happy you enjoy it so much X3 Thank you and your welcome.
Mion disappearing is an editing error
USODA, you know the Gou plot 10 years ahead and have been looping to tell us all along she was first to disappear from the bonds.
This level of reasoning was possible for Furudo Erika. What do you think, everyone?
Rewatching the series, and I had to come listen to this song after Kai episode 13...it's the perfect transition into the final arc
been 10 years and still so good
I still love this song and this anime after all these years.
this is amazing. i loved every second of it!! the translation really spoke to me...! VERY WELL DONE~!
okay, I have just completed my ritual "dear you" marathon
This is always so moving no matter how many times you hear it.
I love that cirno picture xD
Watching this makes you forget about the violence of the anime. Very soothing...
That was beautiful... Made me so happy to see everyone live!
Edit: Not... that I feel bad for them or anything... >_>
Ah, it's Anime.
Y'know. The art and entertainment form that makes you give a shit.
... seriously. When I first started watching adult Anime... my mind was blown. No - I was actually shocked. ^^
Hahaha, so was I.
I've always loved choruses XD
They always sound so majestic and all :)
This is great. Downloaded instantly. Even before I heard the beginning.
>2:16 "The cry of the cicadas turn into psalms"
He can't keep getting away with it
?
Higurashi.....brings back so many memories...
I love the dialogue part... so sweet
I love this anime, so much
This song will never fail to give me full body chills and tears. It’s just so powerful.
I'm glad I came back to this now that sotsu is over
I hope they play this at the end of the new series.
I hope Satoshi wakes up
