Amen , Heidi💕.. I think the way we truly love one another as believers is to respect one another on where we are on our walk. My family and I stopped eating pork and were also accused of being in a cult and called legalist, but all my family and I are trying to do is to be obedient to what God is teaching us through His word. We also don’t look down on people who eat pork or other meats that really aren’t healthy. We aren’t telling people what they should and shouldn’t eat, but it really gets people upset when you don’t want to eat what they eat. We have experienced that in our extended families. 😔 We meet others where they are in their faith and pray others will do the same with us💕🙏
Well said my sister in Christ. It’s definitely a spiritual battle we are in and folks don’t like to be reminded subconsciously of the Truth! It’s like holding a mirror to their face and dealing with what they know is right! 🙏🏾
I love that you shared your faith with us today, it was inspirational. I recently had to remove pork from my diet, it was causing my blood pressure to spike significantly. I had thought of doing that many times anyway, but I was like ok God this is you showing me, obey my word. I am still doing many other things as well, but say a prayer for me, my health of lately has been declining. God bless you for all you do ❤
Thank you for sharing this, I have been hearing these kind of stories more and more lately and it is one of those that really made me rethink all this yet again.

Very good explanation on faith and Christianity! I also avoid pork and sometimes get raised eyebrows at me. Christians should be united and not find ways to divide Christianity. Love your videos Heidi and your intro! God is indeed good all the time. Jesus said, if you love me, keep my commandments. There are many Bible truths that still apply to us today and many that don't. I was raised observing clean and unclean meat directions from the Bible, along with other things. The thing about a freeze dryer is that it does need more maintenance and it is very expensive, and it takes longer in many cases to freeze dry than dehydrate. Can I afford one? Sure, do I want the possible problems that come with it, absolutely NOT. I have enough to do in life than to worry about one more machine that will need a tech or I have to return because it just stopped working. I can buy a dehydrator way cheaper and easier, and my food preserves just as good if not better because it takes less space than freeze drying. You are the best Heidi, I almost did it, I am so thankful to you. ❤
Amen Heidi on that last point :) we can share our faith and still leave room for others to work out their own salvation. Be blessed Heidi and live your faith as us CHristians should without judging others. All a matter again of removing the beam from your own eye before you try and remove your neighbour's splinter. God in His graciousness has space for all of us with diverse likes and dislikes and if some foods do not agree with you, then don't eat it, simple as that. Anyway, love your videos and thanks for giving us such a sober and eye-opening talk about freeze dryers as I was a worried because I cannot get them in my country and woe is me, but you make such sense to me, I will just keep on dehydrating (and add vit a,b, c lol) In the end it is not what we eat, but what we believe that will bring us salvation

The bulk of my food preservation used to be canning or freezing. After the 'shut down', when I was even more motivated to put up extra food, lids and jars were impossible to find. And then there were warnings of rolling blackouts; longer than 24 hours and I would be using what jars I had to try and can things. I realized almost immediately I wasn't going to have the resources. A back up plan is making a large, multi shelf smoker; doable, but does involve taking a few pieces of tin off the barn and a lot of long days and nights.
Heidi i personally believe that because God has created everything and and we pray and ask for blessings over our food with a thankful heart than we're good on what we eat. With that being said there should always be balance in what we eat, everybody is uniquely different and can make their own choices how they see fit. I did find this in scripture 1 Timothy 4:5 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer. We are not under the law but because we pray in Jesus name over our food thats what makes it clean. Love and blessings. Missouri Wrightchk
Yes, God did created everything but we all know this does not mean that everything is edible as many things he has created are highly toxic, even deadly. Some things He made to be food, some He did not but they ALL serve a purpose and that is why they were created. For example: catfish, crab, oysters, vultures, flies and many more serve to clean up the land and the waters of dead and rotting flesh and waste products. Understanding this makes them not so desirable, haha Yes, that scripture you quoted is not at all new to me, I have heard and read it a great many times but I also now understand it within the context of His entire word, both Old and New Testaments. But, at 57 years old, it has taken me a good many years to finally really see it. Many of the scriptures we tend to want to use to back up our point, no matter what it is, can so easily been taken out of context. In fact I came across one the other day in Deuteronomy that if one had only heard that single verse, they would assume it meant God was telling his people to eat both clean and unclean meats but that is not at all what it said. As one continues to read the passage it becomes blatantly clear that He was saying the clean and unclean people could partake of any of the meats of the promised land and proceeds to list off the specific meats he was referring to, and of course, they were all the clean meats. Anyway, I just bring that up because any verse or even set of verses, when not read within full context can easily be misunderstood and I have been guilty many times of doing that
I have a bunch of Hubbert squash/pumpkins in back from a plant that volunteered itself! They are delicious! My father quit eating pork many many years ago, and right when he stopped, his knees, stopped hurting!
Thank you for all the information you provide every week! I didn’t know about green pumpkins. I could have picked them and wait for them to turn orange! Well now I know! 😆
I have tried a lot of your recipes and ideas. You have never steered me wrong. You know your stuff! My pantry is stocked! Thank you❤ BTW, I love my apple scrap vinegar. No more store bought for me. Also, my wines via your recipes are plenty clear.😊
Amen! Our Father loves all of us so very much. My favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6 which I feel is the formula we all need in life. Trust in the Lord like a child trusts his/her parents. Life will have difficulties and pain but everything we ever need in from the Lord. He's will bless you, comfort you, heal you and save you. I pray this year more people feel the tugging in their spirit to draw near. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart And to not lean on your own understanding In all your ways acknowledge Him And he will make straight your paths. Love and blessings sister Heidi. You handled this well. I will say that I don't really understand a Christian observing the OT food restrictios, but if you want to then go ahead. Your salvation statement is right on and that is #1.
Thank you for sharing your faith/growing experience. I love your content. I’ve gone back & forth with the pork too. Reading last week or so I came across Deuteronomy 12:15 & 22 Very interesting
Thank you again lady for being there for us. Not everyone wants to save everything for 30yrs either. My goal, which I have ALMOST achieved is a 1-2yr back stock. I don't wanna eat something that old and if the bomb is gonna drop, I am running TOWARDS it. I don't wanna survive. Covid wqs an eye opener....✌️❤😁
Amen. I love listening to you. It doesn’t matter what you say or don’t say. People are going to talk and judge us. We can’t change them keep up the great advice.
I didn’t grow pumpkins this year, but plan on getting some organic pie pumpkins to put up. I also have been eating clean for the last few years, but I don’t condemn others who don’t. It’s not our responsibility to judge. Many Blessings!
Learning about the feasts has been a big one for us this year. Just in time for all of the fall feasts and we are loving it! We feel a lot like the people in Nehemiah 8. This year for Sukkot we are just going back and forth to our friends who are new to all this as well and we make our own little indoor sukkahs so one night there, one night here, switching off through the week. It has been such a blessing. The company, the good food, and most importantly the spiritual growth and growing in our understanding.
@@RainCountryHomestead we set up a pop up camper and a few tents at my brothers house for Sukkot. Some stay there all night, but some of us go home at night. The feast days are so exciting, and friends come that have moved away, so it’s like an extended family reunion celebration centering around the Bible, what was and what is coming. I learn more every year! Mike even shared a meal with us this year. I was so happy! I’m so happy for you!!!
Are you familiar with North Georgia Candy Roaster pumpkins? They look interesting not just because they are a large banana shaped pumping, but they also have a long shelf life and get sweeter over time. This was my second year trying to grow them but I’m in Alaska and we had an extremely mild summer. I’m excited about planning over the winter and getting ready for next season… and trying it again!
@@caydancebloom I have never heard of them, but I will check into them. I lived in Anchorage for a few years when I was pretty young. My Dad was at Elmendorf AFB. We got there right after the big earthquake in the 60’s. Thank you for the info. Many Blessings!!
Hi Rain good morning! I love your pumpkins harvest. Wow I never thought of dehydrating pumpkins before.Thankyou sharing this and all these tips. I love the grapes harvest as well that I saw on your community page. Thankyou you so much again. Love and God bless ❤🙏🏻

Thank you for sharing. Our freeze dryer is still not working 😢. My husband and I and our kids went together on one so we could afford it. Very frustrating. Your videos on dehydrating have made the difference. Thank you for sharing your faith. A great read, What the Bible Says About Healthy Living has a medical look at why God baned pork. God bless
Thank you for all your teaching videos i have learned so much. I have also been toying with the idea of buying a freeze dryer but could not justify the cost . This information is very helpful in my decision making process. Also may God bless you as you follow Jesus Christ and doing your best to live as the Bible and Jesus would have you do. I am a newer believer, follower of Jesus and my bondage has been broken and now I am free and live with HIS freedom not "man's". I look forward to your future videos and what God has for you. In appreciation to you !!
Thank you for this video. I too don't have the money for a freeze dryer. I prefer to dehydrate my foods and therefore your videos are very important to me, so I will learn how to preserve my food. Also, I'm so glad to find a homesteaders that has deep Christian values and will say it. Love your videos.
I agree with you wholeheartedly, sister! I started reading through the entire bible (KJV) from cover to cover a couple of years ago, and I am currently almost finished my third way through, and it has been such a blessing to me! I do use the pure bible search software to do specific word and phrase studies as well, to supplement my reading. The Lord is so good, His mercy endureth forever! I am also thankful for your many food preservation videos, I have many jars of dehydrated tomatoes and zucchini, and many other foods now, so much more than last year. Take care, and God bless.
Thank you for sharing your faith! That along your practical food preservation methods are why I follow your channel. I look forward to your future faith based videos!!!
I agree with the idea of only eating "clean" meats. My husband and I came to that conclusion over a year ago after rereading the Old Testament. (The only pork we were eating, we raised ourselves and we had told ourselves that was good enough.). But we have noticed health benefits after a year away from "unclean" meats. I admit it was a bit of a struggle because I love shrimp Alfredo. I think people have to come to that decision on their own. But it was good for us. (God bless)
One thing that caused me to rethink this before really looking into the word again, including all the typical verses we have been taught to use as the excuse to eat whatever meat we want (like a couple have already posted here) without understanding them in the full context of the whole Bible, is that a friend of mine is allergic to most unclean meats but not the clean ones. I found that pretty interesting. Another nudge was learning that human meat smells like pork when it is "cooked" (my son is captain of our fire department and has come across a burning body before) and that just really made me feel ill about it.
We brought our pumpkins and squash in yesterday! I've never thought of dehydrating them before but would love to try it this year. I also appreciate your research on freeze dryers as I've been feeling a bit envious of those who have them lately. Besides the initial expense there is some maintenance required from what I understand, and the cost of electricity to run them.. I'm good with my Excaliber, thanks! Oh, and I have raisin ferment starter in the cupboard but forgot what I was going to use it for ;) You're a gifted teacher and voice for Christ and I hope you'll continue to share your faith and journey with us. .
I like the idea of making pumpkin powder. I have both machines and might dehydrate my pumpkins. I had to buy my pumpkins and I only got 2 of them so they might end up in pies before I can dry them.
Thank you Heidi! Amen! Honor grace by trying and doing the best you can. I love that you're speaking about this. I would truly love more faith talks. When we began a our journey in clean eating and honoring the sabath best we can we got and still get the odd quizzical looks. As we have been trying to honor the fall feasts we are feeling odd pressure about the upcoming popular season, which used to be my favorite. Blessings to you and your Patrick for walking as you are convicted to. I hope maybe to hear craft and fellowship chats(if you're comfortable and able i know you're streched so thin already). ❤ oh and the freeze drying thing just a thing. I agree that just do something and stop worring about fancy equipment. Many ways to accomplish the same goal. And those old methods have gotten us this far.😊
What is funny to me is how people can call keeping the Sabbath a work when that is exactly what we are taking a break from! haha! It has really helped us both making a point to actually rest from our labor every Saturday and it is a blessing, NOT a bondage like so many falsely call it
Love this video and all these comments. Sabbath was the best thing I ever did. And we are camping out this week for Sukkot. These feasts and Sabbaths honor Him but for me they have been life changing in so many ways.
@@andreahood5582 I am overjoyed with the changes I have seen in both of us since starting to learn and practice these things that the modern church falsely refers to as "bondage" all while guilting people into paying their 10% or more. They (the leaders and top church officials) are cherry picking what commandments they want to put people under to satisfy their own greed.
I read through the Bible every year and I am always learning more about our God and my redemption through Jesus! I know committed Christians who don’t eat pork, others that don’t eat fish. I am struggling with inflammation and I have been removing gluten & other processed foods from my diet. We are not to judge people by what they eat… “Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations- (referring to things that all perish as they are used)-according to human precepts and teachings? These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are of no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh.” Colossians 2:16, 20, 22-23 ESV
I have dehydrated lots of eggs, compared to the freeze dried ones I have purchase, I prefer my dehydrated ones. I bought the freeze dried ones for long term storage before I had chickens
I am still processing last years butternut in between batches of tomatoes, peppers, and lambs quarters.. I found i am addicted to coconut /squash curries.. i just cant get enough... :) I'm hoping to make some wines this fall, just one of the things i have not yeat tried.. thanks for sharing Heidi, great points as usual!!

❤️ Thank you for this video regarding eating pork. It was an answer I needed to hear today. Trying to justify to family why we are making choices they disagree with.😔 Myself & my husband have been on a journey with what we feel convicted is the right path in our walk with the Lord and the WHOLE bible. We honor the Sabbath, his festivals and clean eating. So enriching & amazing. 🙌 Btw, we do have a freeze drier and love it.🫣🤫😅
Even since this video, I got another email of someone worried I am in some crazy alien worship cult, haha! However, one simply cannot dispute what the Bible says when reading all those verse we have been spoonfed/brainwashed into believing means we can eat whatever want.
I have three wierd big lumps aka squash in my garden. I don't know what mixed with what but they're winter squash things. I was never going to discard them but they're a good 5+ pounds which is more than i can eat in a few months. Glad to know of dehydrating and making powder! I'll be doing that. I think I'll try the powder in coffee too, nice idea. Thanks Heidi.
2 comments bought a freeze dryer and it worked maybe a month. It has taken more than a month and still waiting for them to pick it up for repairs Also my husband and I and the church we pastored started over together in Genesis…seems like many of us have now understood that forever means forever and the works are bc we love Him and desire to keep His commandments. We sold the building and we all meet at our home and study together. It has been the most beautiful and freeing experience.
Heidi, I started the process of going kosher about 7 years ago. I love my shellfish but I have cut those out as well. I understand the the push back about what products I consume. I did this step by step which food products I cut out of my diet. Amen and thank you for all you do sister Heidi.
Thank you for sharing your faith journey, so beautifully said. Many blessings to you both. PS I was reprimanded by church elders for wanting to obey what our Saviour instructed us to do, I was told that to obey Him was to spit in His eye. When I read that He had not come to do away with His Father's instructions and that anyone that teaches this will be considered least in the Kingdom, I decided that I wasn't insulting Him by wanting to please and obey the Father as Jesus had. As you shared, once I decided to follow Jesus' example, I finally felt the burden lifted from my shoulders. Once again, thank you.
Yes, I had a follower tell me something similar, that I was slapping our Messiah in the face yet he walked the walked and obeyed these commandments while on this earth as did his disciples, what makes us think we should behave any differently? This was one of the points brought up by others that got me thinking more about looking deeper into this and once you start reading ALL the Bible, not just the selected portions, it all begins to make sense and is so liberating!

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer.
Understanding this makes them not so desirable, haha
Yes, that scripture you quoted is not at all new to me, I have heard and read it a great many times but I also now understand it within the context of His entire word, both Old and New Testaments. Anyway, I just bring that up because any verse or even set of verses, when not read within full context can easily be misunderstood and I have been guilty many times of doing that
He's doing a work in all lives of those who are seeking Him. Thanks for sharing your journey. ❤
I have a bunch of Hubbert squash/pumpkins in back from a plant that volunteered itself! They are delicious! My father quit eating pork many many years ago, and right when he stopped, his knees, stopped hurting!
Yes and amen!
Amen! Amen! Say it loud, Heidi for its true praise to Him that loves us.
Amen Sister !!
Bravo sister! I need your energy!
Thank you❤
BTW, I love my apple scrap vinegar. No more store bought for me. Also, my wines via your recipes are plenty clear.😊
Well said and I appreciate your thoughts very much. AMEN
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And to not lean on your own understanding
In all your ways acknowledge Him
And he will make straight your paths.
Love and blessings sister Heidi. Missouri Wrightchk
Amen. Well said Heidi.
You handled this well. I will say that I don't really understand a Christian observing the OT food restrictios, but if you want to then go ahead. Your salvation statement is right on and that is #1.
Thank you Heidi what sound advice. Pray for others to grow in their faith and truth. Very biblical. God Bless!
Amen 🙏🏻, Praise the Lord! Keep standing up for Christ and your faith. We all need to lift each other up and search the scriptures daily.
Thank you for sharing your walk with Christ. Love and prayers always ❤Tee
TY AGAIN FOR YOUR WORDS AND WORKS, LOVE WHAT YOU TALK ABOUT YOU ALWAYS! GOD BLESS YA'LL! YOUR MY HERO!
Amen my sister! Thank you for sharing God's truth.
Agree. Dehydrated has been a God send. Lots of great videos to catch up on. Thanks for all the tips.
Thank you for sharing your faith/growing experience. I love your content. I’ve gone back & forth with the pork too. Reading last week or so I came across Deuteronomy 12:15 & 22
Very interesting
Thanks Heidi!
Seems like there's a "freeze dried" club and I'm not in it.😊 I appreciate your focus on dehydrating and other forms of preservation.
Well said Heidi! We must listen to the Holy Spirit! Blessings to you and your wonderful family! ❤
Heidi! Thank you for Proclaiming Why we LOVE OUR LORD! GOD BLESS YOU
Hi Rain good morning! I love your pumpkins harvest. Wow I never thought of dehydrating pumpkins before.Thankyou sharing this and all these tips. I love the grapes harvest as well that I saw on your community page. Thankyou you so much again. Love and God bless ❤🙏🏻
Hi Heidi, really appreciate you channel and love your honesty. Really wish that people would just accept that we are are individuals with our own opinions and understanding of God. Please now that you are appreciated and loved. Have a blessed day and keep doing what God has called you to do 😊
Thank you for sharing.
We only use the King James and I love having that King James Pure Bible Search on my computer and use it daily :)
Thank you for sharing your faith! That along your practical food preservation methods are why I follow your channel. I look forward to your future faith based videos!!!
God bless Heidi 💞🙏💞
Thanks Heidi for your honest informative videos. I take all on board. Bless you.
So well said Heidi. We believe this as well. Cut out all the pork, shellfish,❤etc. Never have regretted it.
Great talk Sistar!!!
Really appreciate you sharing your content of Experiences for the world to see. Happy to have found your resources & Truths💞
Love is the way. Thanks Heidi.
Amen Heidi! And thanks!
Absolutely faith is personal and God is mighty. We all come from different paths.
Threw away bacon today, you are so motivational! I love you sister.
Thanks Heidi 😊 ❤️ ❤
Good talk Heidi. Wish I knew you in person.
I read through the Bible every year and I am always learning more about our God and my redemption through Jesus! I know committed Christians who don’t eat pork, others that don’t eat fish. I am struggling with inflammation and I have been removing gluten & other processed foods from my diet. We are not to judge people by what they eat…
“Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations- (referring to things that all perish as they are used)-according to human precepts and teachings? These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are of no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh.”
Colossians 2:16, 20, 22-23 ESV
Agree! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏻
My only freeze dried foods are strawberries and eggs. So I buy just those 2, the rest I dehydrate or can
I have dehydrated lots of eggs, compared to the freeze dried ones I have purchase, I prefer my dehydrated ones.
I have more love and respect for you after this video than before. God bless you. You are such a good person ❤️
Great video and great points! Amen!
Thank you so much for sharing everything I love all videos I have learned so much from your and we can do nothing with God we can do everything he gives us food and everything we have he is so good to all of us we have to believe In God he helps us he is always with us and we have to be with him that's the best thing we can do he is so good to everyone ❤️ 💖 🥰🙏🙏I wish you all the best and God bless you
I Love You Heidi 🙏🏼
Thank You Lord Jesus 💞🙌💞🥰
🙏🕊️❤️🕊️🙏
Amen sister!
It has taken more than a month and still waiting for them to pick it up for repairs
Also my husband and I and the church we pastored started over together in Genesis…seems like many of us have now understood that forever means forever and the works are bc we love Him and desire to keep His commandments. We sold the building and we all meet at our home and study together. It has been the most beautiful and freeing experience.
Thanks for sharing both, the last part especially is very inspiring!
Amen Heidi!,
