HOW GOOD IS THIS!!!!
2024 still wonderful.
Man if I was a country artist I would cover Dave's songs completely. The songwriting, music and emotions are just so real. He's a tremendous artist.
Except he doesn't think it's country music...
Dave Alvin is a guitar stud. Dave is an icon for his Rockabilly, folk & blues music he's composed.
One of the best duets ever 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Rosie brings us the message of the song with a vulnerable yet dramatic delivery that cuts straight to the point. Dry voiced, Dave Alvin, is the perfect counter part in this duet.
How good is that ? Two of the best.
Just perfect.
two of my favorite rockers in the world
...takes me back several decades to when i used to follow Rosie's concerts in all the sawdust stroon saloons you could find around L.A....oh what glorious days those were...
Like Jack’s Sugar Shack🎶🎶
Went up to the Roxy to see David Lindley in about 1981. Was suprised when Rosie opened by herself. I knew her from San Diego where she started out as a teenager. one of her first bands was Rosie and the Screamers.
They were on the Blues Cruise this year Fabulous
Beautiful.
So beautiful
sigh......i agree Rosie"s voice is like an arrow shot straight to the heart......
takes my breath away !
Pure gold.........Thanks Art...
This music adds to life.
I saw Rosie at the Radio Cafe, East Nashville in Feb 2005. It was an excellent accoustic set, just like this. Well done Mr. Fein keep the goodies coming...
What a smile that woman has! Killer guitar chops and voice, too. And of course we're big fans of Dave.
my two old friends. i love this video.
Wonderful - Brings back memories of the Pleasure Barons tour. Thanks for posting
great duet
Isn't Rosie just toooo cool for school....:)
Need to get her down here to play Gruene Hall real soon.....:)
just superb..amazing live performance!
loved hearing them do it on dave's album, great seeing and hearing them do it in a public access tv studio in l.a., and now on the web. thanks, art!
I saw Dave Alvin Friday night at the Dove--Great Show! I hope Rosie's feeling better with her broken arm
This is wonderful!
paul levine A great pairing with Rosie and Dave- old school and this just knocks me out..
Never heard either of them , not so much my cup of tea but good back porch tunes. I loved her little oops...
where can i find more of old school rosie?? shes so beautiful and her voice.. god!
Find her in person, ran into her playing a little stage at a state fair in wisconsin a few years back, what a talent!
I saw her at SXSW in Austin after I posted this hahaha
GemsOnVHS awesome luck, was the same with me, great person/performer!
LOVE IT!--------------AMBER
No way! I've enjoyed listening to Rosie for years, and this is the 1st time I've ever seen her. I can't believe how much she looks just like my late ex-. Uncanny! Even a certain quality in the voice is similar. This is rough...
Rosie sounds amazingly like Emmylou Harris (or
Emmylou sounds amazingly like Rosie.) Either way it's beyond beautiful.
Ya got that right!
I want them to sing the song "THE TRAIN THAT CARRIED MY GIRL FROM TOWN"...trust me, it would be a hit with these two singing.
I prefer this version over the album cut.
I love them both but I would never confuse one with the other.
Man, her voice just makes me ache..........
Love & enjoy em both,but would like to find a couple of her songs;
feeding the Fire, God MAY love u, but I DON"T !, ta in advance !
@monkeycoffin On Dave Alvin´s album «King of California», of 1994.
@newporter42 youve got good taste
THE TRUE STORY OF ANYONE WHO IS DIVORCED
Does anyone have these chords???
just an all and all great song.Should be a hit, but all the ties in nashville would have had to already had their know it all heads removed from their arse!
second to emmylou
very bad song to listen to if you dont need to call that "person"
great duet
