Watching teasers/special videos especially for the latter members/units are crucial if you want to get more details about their story. Sometimes these teaser gives more lore than the MVs themselves! 4:11 Heejin was just 16 when she debuted so that's why she looks very young (because she was). She however is not the maknae of the group (that is Yeojin) although she is part of the younger half of LOONA. Her and Hyunjin are of the same age are are basically best friends (they went to school together). You will often see fans refer to their pairing as 2jin. 11:05 They're called 'sequins' 13:23 The teasers only spoil a very minimal amount of the song, sometimes they dont even use any parts of the song. I think you're okay to watch them prior to the MV. Some of them really subverts your expectations! 14:03 Yes what you heard is the Acoustic version of Vivid which was her sidetrack for her solo album. I believe there is b-side MV for it where she plays the guitar while singing that version. 25:25 Yes all of them do. In fact, all their representative animals appear in their MVs! LOONA TV (or LTV) is their YT series in which they show some behind the scenes footage of their album/MV making (it doesnt spoil anything about the story or anything if you've watched the MVs prior). They start off as very short videos (20-30 seconds long) but gradually reach 1 minute in length (some LTV specials exceed this but those are very rare). These LTVs were meant to be watched right after each member's debut so you get to know them better. Each girl gets about 19 episodes of LTV after they debut. So Heejin's LTV arc start from episode 1 to episode 18. Hyunjin's LTV arc start from episode 19 to episode 38 and so on. You just need to pick up certain elements such as colors, objects, animals, outfits, even background events in the MV as everything in each video may have a symbolic meaning or a connection that is only apparent in later MVs. There are easily quite many things that one can miss because, in your mind, you just thought that it was there for aesthetic reasons. For example, did you notice that the furniture in ViVid was melting or that the three images of Heejin in the mirrors are not the same? What is the symbolic meaning of a red spider on her eye? For example, search for "what is the deep meaning of a red spider", "what does it mean when a spider visits you", "what is the spiritual meaning of seeing spiders", "what's the symbolic meaning of spiders" and you get different symbolic interpretations that can be applied to Heejin in the LOONAVerse. Was the rainbow across her face important? At this point, you wouldn't think that the golf club would have a connection until much much later. Just to highlight one connection between MVs that you've already seen; notice Heejin's yellow outfit and then watch what the mannequin behind Heejin is wearing in PTT (Paint the Town) at 2:42. You are right about Hyunjin and Heejin seemingly not existing in the current time.

I really like that you're going into this without any preconceptions and coming up with your own conclusions for what you're seeing. A lot of people recommend Avengers of Kpop when people first try to get into LOONA, but I think that's partially for the hype factor and to convince people who aren't sure if they want to embark on a rather long journey into LOONA's relatively large discography/videography. I still think Avengers of Kpop is well worth watching, but since you're in for the long haul (I loved these reactions by the way!) I think it's certainly better watched after Butterfly (which you've seen already,) chronologically because it does spoil things and it also makes a lot of newcomers overly conscious of lore things. Since you're going in and trying to parse it out yourself, I think you're coming to a lot of more natural conclusions which are far more interesting to see imo. I definitely look forward to seeing more! (As others have said, there is an acoustic version of Vivid. I also think whatever you decide to do with the teasers and trailers is cool, I'm just glad you're watching them because they sometimes have scenes or things that aren't necessarily in the MV, which will also relate to the lore later on.)
i think the story of 'around you' is that hyunjin (at least her character in the mv) acts like a cat in front of the person she has a crush on. she wants so badly to talk to him, but she feels like the cat does in the trailer whenever he approaches. cats can't talk to us, but they love us from afar. that's how hyunjin feels. she loves her crush from afar but she's too nervous to say anything, and whenever he gets too close, she freaks out and runs away. i think she's writing those letters to him to try to explain her feelings without getting nervous and messing up by trying to talk to him. that's at least how i understand it. hope that helps! really enjoying your loona reactions and can't wait for the rest of your loona journey!
