I love this pattern! To prevent the wrinkles, line up the seams of the lining and outer fabric and "stitch in the ditch" to attach the two. You don't have to do them all, just every other one! Hope this helps ❣
Thank you for your comment💕 That’s a great way to prevent wrinkling! I wanted the “hat part” to drape over the band in a certain way, so I need to experiment with several methods :)
I just found your channel. You are amazing. I have been looking to make a beret for a while but just couldn't find instruction that I thought looked nice enough...This pattern is fabulous and the band looks fantastic. I will be subscribing to your channel and just know that I will learn so much from your designs and sewing. Thank you.
I haven't made it yet but I plan on making it today. I'll let you know how it turns out for me. I love making hats but I'm fairly new at it & your tutorial looks like I can make the beret
Hi, love the look of this beret! I'm going to make it in fleece as that's what I have. What is the purpose of making the pattern piece 1/2 larger all around just to cut most of it off after? I'm an ok sewer who muddles through and I'm genuinely curious. Thank you!
That is because when I put 1/4” seam allowance on another pattern, some people said they were not comfortable with such small seam allowance. since there’re more entry level sewists visiting my channel, I decided to use bigger SA! you can definitely start with smaller seam allowance! ;)
I’m not familiar with the style of the hat, but from a quick research on the internet made me think that “Greek Fisherman’’s Cap” tutorial on my channel might be more similar style…? th-cam.com/video/gWyNr9tQHdM/w-d-xo.html
I really like this one too Sachi....thank you
glad you like it💕😆

Qué trabajo tan pulcro ♡
thank you for your comment 💕
Can this also be used to make the Kratzchen field cap from the Imperial German Army from WW1?

@@SachisStudio it will work, I just need to not add the brim.
Thank you and great hats! 👌
How much fabric should we purchase?
it depends on the width of fabric, but I think half yard each for the outer fabric and lining should be plenty !😊
❤
☺️
I didn't see the pattern
