WOW. That’s amazing. So fast. Me, I have stick straight hair and had a perm continuously for 10 years in the 80s, even tried for an Afro (while being a white girl 🤣). We always want what we don’t have.
I always have that same concern when putting heat on my hair, that's why I would hardly use a straightener. But honestly, with the steampod I haven't seen any damage to my curls, everything reverts perfectly.
Hiyah Karina, thank you so much for putting us on to that L'oreal Steam Pod, it had your hair layed Sis 👌🏾!!! Love and appreciate you my friend ❤️. I will be getting myself one of those Steam Pods, L'oreal knows how to make quality products. Take care, stay safe and God bless 🤗💕🌈🙏🏾.
Your hair looks great! I have the previous version and it definitively snags my hair and I can’t get anywhere close to my roots because it would burn my scalp. I do use when my hair is damp. So I’m not sure if that is the problem. So I’m skeptical on upgrading. However, it seems this version is improved. Not sure if the improvement is worth an extra $180 price increase when I straighten it once a year to give it a cut. It’s way too long to do it more than once a year!
Girl, yes you are burning your scalp because your hair is DAMP. Putting any hot iron on damp hair creates steam and that hot steam is hitting your scalp. Dry your hair first. You are creating more damage.
Flip the iron. The comb pointing down works best as it splits your hair and smooths it. My mum had that issue with her 3.0s so i told her to go comb side first as it separates the hair!
My sister has this flat iron and loves it. She let me try it, and no, it doesn’t get as close to the roots as a conventional flat iron. That said, I’m still considering buying this flat iron.
Hey. Is it also hard for you to get the heatplates together? They just need some pressure otherwise they just won‘t touch the hair :( could you please check if yours has that too? So I‘d know mine is broken
Mine does that too. I see many people say the same. You have to apply more pressure as you are moving down the strands. Hopefully they fix with the next version.
What temperature did you set it on? I had a tool just like this back in the late 2000’s to early 2010’s and I loved it but broke it after a few years. I don’t think you could change the temp on it either. This version looks like they’ve made some improvements.
That was fast! And the comb attachment is brilliant so you don't have to chase. I haven't straightened my hair is years but if I'm ever in the market for a flat iron I'll look into this. Does it have temp controls?
Super fast! Normally to get my hair that straight I would have to do a good blowout and then go in with a straightener. But with the steampod I just brush out the curls and that’s it! Literally takes me less than 25min
Hi! Thank you for your review. May I ask if your hair is relaxed while using the Steampod. My hair is natural and I have curl 3c curls. After I blow dry my hair it is the same texture as yours so I'm thinking I will need to blow out my hair first vs going straight in with the steampod. Having your hair relaxed vs natural may give different results. Just wondering if my hair will get puffy as it's not relaxed. Your hair came out beautiful!
@@karina_waldron oh great to know! Does your daughter's hair remain straight after the steampod or does it gradually revert back as steam was used to straighten? Have you seen any damage? If I decide to get this I may use it pretty often during the week as I am hoping to use it as a curler too. So blowout first, then steampod to straighten then steampod to curl. Not sure if I can go from a blowout to the steampod for curling as it may not lay flat and be more of a frizzy curl vs a silky curl. I love the steam aspect but wonder if there still will be damage as the hair will still pass thru the plates.
The process begin 6:00 🙆🏻♀️
I was just hesitating to buy this product, video is on time, thanks!
Girl don’t hesitate! This is the one lol

Yea it’s so fast to use on my hair, so impressed
at least you know haha
Thanks for sharing! I decided to stop chemically straightening my hair. This looks promising!
This is great. Karina how are your curls when you revert? My biggest concern is always damage after heat

Girl it’s so worth it! Plus I don’t see any heat damage what so ever
Ugh I'm waiting on mine from Sephora and watching videos like this cause I'm so excited! Your hair looks great

You are supposed to use this on dry hair.
@@cfoster6804 i missed reading that part 💀💀💀 damp hair.. FRIED 🤣
Your hair looks great! I have a question though, can this flat iron reach to the roots and properly straight them?

@@tourjoursv thank you
I was able to teach my roots just fine with it
The sleek style looks so good.
Right!!! And I love that I can also give my hair different soft curls with the steampod
I know I am kind of off topic but do anyone know a good place to stream new series online?
@Kole Terrell Flixportal :D
@Dalton Warren Thank you, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D Appreciate it !!
@Kole Terrell glad I could help =)

Yes it does
What heat protecting products would you recommend? Do you use any?
The one she literally showed in this video.
I know this is weird but that cream is not available to ship to the US. Can I buy one through you? 😂
You really look like Oprah today. Especially in ad.🥰
Hahahaha I get that a lot
Ok I’m sold! So easy
girl, its amazing!
Can you use tap water or you need demineralised water
I use tap water but demineralized is better
@@karina_waldron Thank you 😊

Great video!! What curl protective products do you use on your hair when it’s wet prior to drying it?
to be totally honest i only use the loreal styling products mentioned in the video
Your hair came out amazing. I will definitely check this!!👀
Thanks, girl, I'm honestly so surprised by the results each time!
This looks great and your hair looks amazing. Do you feel you get less damage than with a flat iron?
Definitely! With the steampod I haven’t seen any changes to my curl pattern thank God! It was my biggest concern when testing it out

You are welcome hun and no my hair is completely natural. My daughter has a more kinky curls and it also works perfectly on her.

Ma’am, you are GORGEOUS!!!
Thanks for this review, I’ve been wondering about this.
Karina what heat setting did you have it on?
i use the highest heat level
Thanks alot
Where is your accent from?
It doesn’t get it straight enough at the roots. I don’t think it’s worth the cost. Your hair is beautiful though. 💜
You got paid for it? Cool!
Sure did!

So this is for guys, eh?
I clicked because I thought the thumbnail said “straight hair with SHAMPOO.......people DO NOT use HEAT on your curly hair. ❗️ ❗️❗️
Why not?
As long as you’re protecting your hair it’s perfectly fine.
My curls go back to its natural state as soon as I wash it
Girl, cut it out. Go tell those other girls to stop putting bleach on their hair if you really want to go there.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
