The FAW had to get rid by that time.
John Toshack's hands were tied by the constant retirements and player withdrawels from nearly every squad he ever picked.In my opinion,it was shameful the way some of them went,none more so than Robbie Savage.He behaved like a petulent,spoilt child at the time.John Toshack can be thanked for his blooding of so many young players at that time,it was something he was forced into doing,but it would seem to be his philosophy anyway.
