Lyrics: vvvvv She says that the world is a broken mess And it's always on her mind She cries at the news when the shots ring out Every single time And no, I cannot fix it, no, I cannot make it stop So I said, "Turn your phone off, only look me in my eyes Can we live that real life, real life?" Oh, hey, "Turn your phone off, only look me in my eyes Can we live, yeah, real life, real life?" Prays on her knees as the towers fold To a God she does not know She's begging him to stop the mess As the Boston bombs blow (ooh) She said, "How could I ever believe in something That would step aside and watch?" And I got no words to say 'cause I think I lost my faith But I thank you for the day when everything will be okay But no, I cannot fix it, and I cannot make it stop So I said, "Turn your phone off, only look me in my eyes Can we live that real life, real life?" Oh, hey, "Turn your phone off, only look me in my eyes Can we live, yeah, real life, real life?" I wish I had the answers Something you could hold too Only thing that's real to me is You "Turn your phone off, only look me in my eyes Can we live that real life, real life?" Oh, hey, "Turn your phone off, only look me in my eyes Can we live, yeah, real life, real life?" Oh, hey (real life, hey) Real life, real life Oh, hey Real life, real life Oh, hey
Okay, this song speaks to me on a personal level. I'm constantly worried about everything and everyone, because so many terrible things are happening to everyone everywhere, and there's nothing I can do stop it.
Unfortunately.. many live life like this. Real life is truly what we see on the news. The terrorism, the hate, the violence, the shootings... if we decide to turn off the phone and simply focus in the eyes of someone who can't even control the oxygen around them. God doesn't stand a side and watch.. the news will get worse and worse, why? It is proof that God is coming back sooner than ever to display justice and judgement on all who decided to forget what 'real life' was. I used to relate to this song.. but then I actually got to know God, Jesus Christ saved me. And He wants to save you all too❤
I'd like to speak about "if God was real, there would be no evil in the world" argument. Dan speaks here of some person that got disappointed in God - "how could I have ever believed in Something that would step aside and watch". The person loses faith because can't imagine that God would let all of the wars and evil happen. I'd like to explain something, but at first i need to say that i am not Church's doctor or a Teologist. So, the world we're living in is not the end, we'll go either to Heaven or hel. God DOES KNOW EVERYTHING and He Does EVERYTHING to make us go to Heaven (which we'd probably rather than going to hel but having an easy life), but He Won't interrupt our free will and this is why all of this happens, He Doesn't Want us to suffer, He Loves us. I think He Foes only as much as needed to make better good for us. Now, some words from someone who actually knows more, actually a lot about God, Priest Piotr Pawlukiewicz. He once said something like that (not exactly that, but the meaning is the same): Let's not try to put Lord God into our thinking, Let's go ahead and enter HIS THINKING. So basicly, we don't know what will be better. We are humans, our intelect isn't and never will be perfect
This one's great. Also, that's one of the best album arts I've ever seen. Love it.

She says that the world is a broken mess
And it's always on her mind
She cries at the news when the shots ring out
Every single time
And no, I cannot fix it, no, I cannot make it stop
So I said, "Turn your phone off, only look me in my eyes
Can we live that real life, real life?"
Oh, hey, "Turn your phone off, only look me in my eyes
Can we live, yeah, real life, real life?"
Prays on her knees as the towers fold
To a God she does not know
She's begging him to stop the mess
As the Boston bombs blow (ooh)
She said, "How could I ever believe in something
That would step aside and watch?"
And I got no words to say 'cause I think I lost my faith
But I thank you for the day when everything will be okay
But no, I cannot fix it, and I cannot make it stop
So I said, "Turn your phone off, only look me in my eyes
Can we live that real life, real life?"
Oh, hey, "Turn your phone off, only look me in my eyes
Can we live, yeah, real life, real life?"
I wish I had the answers
Something you could hold too
Only thing that's real to me is
You
"Turn your phone off, only look me in my eyes
Can we live that real life, real life?"
Oh, hey, "Turn your phone off, only look me in my eyes
Can we live, yeah, real life, real life?"
Oh, hey (real life, hey)
Real life, real life
Oh, hey
Real life, real life
Oh, hey

This is really life. The time where death strikes more lives.
