YES! Thank you! Liked the whole Christmas special, LOVED this particular skit! My brother and I first saw it Christmas '91. We nearly died laughing during this skit. They so need to air this special again!
This whole entire Claymation Christmas would keep me in stitches with some of the scenes they would have: The Carol of the bells, Angels We Have Heard on High, We Three Kings and so on. I really miss seeing this on TV.
Thanks for posting this. I live in central California which used to be raisin country. Not so much now as the farmers can't make any money on them and they are labor intensive. They are pulling out the vines and planting orchards of fruit trees. They can make more money per acre. We used to take polls at school from the raisin board or council (don't remember which now) on how often we would eat raisins and in what form we would eat them, such as out of the box or baked in something like cookies. I remember my junior year of high school I was the only one who said they would eat them pretty much everyday if the were in cookies. No one else thought they were all that cool, but I bet they did think they were cool once these ads and shows came on. Cheers
Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas Celebration (1987) complete with The California Raisins. Very well done and even includes some religious imagery for the holidays. Rare for something that aired on network television.
RIP Will Vinton, thank you for the childhood memories.
Wow this brings me back to my childhood I nearly forgot this. I miss these simple times.
Love this me and the grandkids watch it all the time.

There was something very Fantasia about the ice skating walruses.
0:36 freeze frame it and check out how he has multiple faces on his head. Awesome effect
I like how the penguins tried to murder the walruses buy plugging the hole in the ice lol
They forgot walruses are aquatic.
The penguins had a rough day

Raisins are one of mankind’s greatest mistakes
Dried fruit is great in baked goods. I don't know why people prefer corn syrup based candies over them other than some colorful packaging and labels.
I can also imagine these characters dancing to "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!".
Yo... She topless!!😲
Merry Christmas 2016
LOL love it
Most of the video is TOTALLY speechless, the figure-skating scene.

It's one of the funniest things from the funniest children's special ever.

+Stevie Sugano The animators for this sequence were Bob Terrell and Teresa Drilling.
The album version of this song was so much better.
But they really dropped the ball on "Carol of The Bells" with unnessary dialog about Dumb Bell. Oh well, my friend at work inherited it.
