+KIMBERLY S LOL...Not THAT old, never ! I read the book, before I got to see the movie...Was great, and this title song should have hit ALL the charts...She was incredible ! Thanx for watching..( Wish there still WERE drive-ins...LOL ) !
+KIMBERLY S Hi Kimberly...My older brother and I saw this at a drive inn in El Paso TX in 1976. Loved the movie and also Buster and Billie too (which we saw at the same drive inn). You are not the only who remembers watching movies from the front seat of a car!! Now does anyone here know what happened to actress Joan Goodfellow? She played Billie and Buster and Billie.
LOL...Yes ! I actually read the book, before I got to see the movie, ( Was overseas ) and the book was great as well..I remember the Buster & Billie, but sure never heard anymore! Do they still have any drive-in @ El Paso ? I wanted to build one in Laredo, but will probably not happen..They seem to be coming back..Thanx for watch ! ! !
Boy this does bring back memories! I came up around trucking in the 70's when it was still in its "glory days" my dad was one of many owner operators and ran from SC to CA. Those big, shiny cabovers were beautiful to me! Kenworth K100's, 352 model Pete's, Mack Cruiseliners, White Freightliners, Marmon's, etc. all ruled the roads then! I credit trucking for some of the best memories of my life. It was great and I'm thankful I got to see it all! I've often said, I'm old enough to remember how it was but still young enough to sadly see where it will end up! Deregulation started it and the CDL law was the final death blow that ended it all. Watched a documentary called "Trucking 1979" and nearly cried. The ending was so sad.
Yes indeed, can relate! I was trucking in the 70's as well, and enjoyed indeed! The travel, the food, the people..Big World, Big Country out there!~ I just watched a show last night, where they are using "Driverless" trucks !!! GEEEeeesh.. Sad indeed, where it is going.. Thanx for watching, and hope you enjoyed, Carolina!
I was 10 when this movie came out , but I saw it on tv...Loved it...loved the “Don’t mess with this trucker” attitude and seeing that truck flying through the air into the GH sign was awesome. Can’t find the movie anywhere though. What a truck, what a trucker, what action!
Yes, really was a great flick ! I actually read the book, before got a chance to see it, because I was overseas.. Say, that is so coincidental, because I just got the new 40 Anny. DVD in mail other day, am going to watch tomorrow !!! If you get on ebay, you should be able to pick up a copy! I think i only gave 6.99 for it, with shipping ! Good luck, & hunting..Hope you can get a copy ! Thanx for watching this classic song from the great film !
Yes Sir ! I had it saved on our Direct TV receiver, but it got wiped out in the Storms! Love this film..good luck, and happy hunting ! ( I am sure you have the classic, "Duel" !
Boy this video brings back the memories.... a great movie, a great cast of characters : Jan Michael Vincent, Kay Lenz, Slim Pickins, L.Q. Jones, a Ford 9000 Cabover, and CB Radios... The good Ole Days. Thanks for posting. A big Thumbs Up !!
Thankyou Sir ! Yes, it is terrific ! I read the book, when it first came out, then saw the movie at drive-in.. Still watch it at least once a year ! Thanx for watching !
That is great, and thanx for sharing that info ! I will post at top of page, so all can see..I broke down a few years back, & bought the DVD so I can watch whenever..It truly was a great film as you say, indeed underrated...Thanx for watching, Steven !

I loved the movie White Line Fever Jan Michael Vincent & Kay Lenz were terrific in this great Truckie Movie. I remember working on this film around 1976 at Hoyt's Esquire Theatre Projection Room in Bourke Street. Melbourne, Australia. This song has always haunted me and should have been released on a 45rpm Single. Thanks for posting this ! Btw I first owned this on VHS Video Tape now have this on DVD (How times have changed) so I can watch it anytime :)
Indeed it was ! I first read the book, when it came out, and then found out few months later, the movie was coming out ! I was elated! The movie was great, (Saw it at Drive-in) and the song by Valerie was entrancing..sad, we lost her so early..I agree, it should have been released, she was phenomenal singer.. Thankyou so much, for sharing your great story&info! Lol..Yes, I am stuck with many piles of VHS tapes, I need to transfer to DVD! Amazing little things, and they take such abuse, and Temp. changes ! Thanx for watching !
@@olvinyldude Did you ever wonder how and why the industry changed almost overnight from VHS tapes to the far superior DVD technology? The development of the DVD came directly from the retrieval of support systems removed from downed UFOs, which I played a role in. You ask why would a UFO travel light years through space only to crash on earth? Because our radar directly interfered with and confused their navigation systems. Full UFO disclosure is just around the corner. BHE
