- I'm so excited to finally share our updated kitchen design. We changed a few things, including the fridge/freezer, larder, paint colour and handles. And now it looks how it always should have done! Hey, you should use the croc-odor green apple shape fridge deodoriser. Works so well for me. Lasts ages and absorbs all smells

The “standard American fridge/freezer” you described your sister having is actually very outdated in America. Most homes have the same set up you have now, either with one door or two for the open fridge section and but usually with a drawer for the freezer at the bottom, no modern homes are built with the split set up, cause as you mentioned it’s not a great design 😂 looks great, Lily! Congrats!
yep.. French door freezers are more common. I hate my “old” American fridge freezer😒

Love the paint, looks so good. Nothing beats a dark moody kitchen with a white bench top in my opinion, so dreamy.
Totally agree with the colour! The black looks so much more "natural" and like it's always been that way. It goes so well with the windows/doors and because the kitchen is so bright it doesn't look/feel overwhelming!

The freezer looks quite small, would it fit a frozen pizza? I do judge freezers by whether they would fit a frozen pizza haha

Haier refrigerators are the absolute best. We've had ours for 5 years and love it. Prior to our Haier we'd had every other brand and one thing or another was always going wrong. Haier is quiet and great quality-no issues! Love your updated kitchen--it's FAB!

I'd say 'pantry' is usually used for a walk-in cupboard/room in the UK.

A really good tip for removing fridge odours - leave a potted basil herb plant on one of the shelves!! It leaves such a gorgeous aroma, you won't be disappointed! Updated kitchen looks amazing!! ❤
Or - leave an opened box of baking soda (bicarbonate) in the fridge. I have never had a smelly fridge (and I'm old!).

You’re kitchen refresh is fabulous! That Haier fridge looks amazing with the lightening, cube zones and flex space. Also love the lazy susans organizers inside - what a great idea! I’m sure you and your family will enjoy the space for years to come.

Love the changes Lilly! The first color was really a " Lilly color" and reminds me of your early days on you tube. I remember I started to follow you because you also love blue green colors 😆. But I think black paint and the dark fridge are so beautiful, and suit your kitchen a lot better for some reason. I admire you that you dare to pick black, well done!

Also, can you (or maybe Rich??) show us what you make for Grey on a daily basis? I know food content can be so controversial but I for sure would benefit from a few ideas.. It all looks so nice! I have serious fridge envy. When you mentioned adjusting the temperature it reminded me of this post I saw on Instagram from LFHW (Love Food, Hate Waste) about the ideal temperatures to set your fridge and freezer to to stop food going bad and wasting energy.
We just started our renovation last month so this is really useful! I keep seeing paint companies say their colours look completely different in different light but I don't think I really understood until seeing the Hague Blue in your north and south facing rooms.

We have a really similar fridge and I absolutely love the smaller freezer drawers - so much easier to find everything! Plus so great being able to see everything in the fridge right in front of you. Loved this video Lily - hope you’re enjoying your updated kitchen!

The cabinets look fantastic and we have a similar fridge setup and it works so well for us. Same reason, as I didn’t like the freezer draws. Split like this also is great for tight spaces as you don’t have a huge door to open. Enjoy your new kitchen ❤️🇦🇺

There are a lot of different types of fridges in the US including ones with freezers at the bottom. Although I have yet to see any freezers that separated in the middle, that was new to me. I do love the new paint color I think it suits your kitchen much better!
Hi lily, I have those handles in my kitchen and I have three young children. They do get a little grubby over time (we’ve had them coming up to three years now) but you can unscrew them and clean them with bar keepers friend (powder version) and toothpicks/hard little brush. They come up really clean x

Love the new color, it is gorgeous! I remember when you said you wanted a bigger pantry. I always thought the bigger fridge would eventually happen. Stunning and can’t get over the new setup. Also most fridges in the US now have the freezer on the bottom too and it’s so great because it gives you lots of space.

The new kitchen color looks great. The fridge is so nice. I have the style with the two double doors and the filtered water/ice dispenser on the outside of the freezer door.

Lilly, I love the new kitchen colour I think it’s perfect and yes should have always been… also the previous colour, Hague blue. I actually painted my garage door and front door this colour last year, but it’s going, too blue… and railings by farrow and ball is going on. It’s that navy/black look. So totally love your knew kitchen colours and design 😊

Because they are much smaller when integrated and we wanted as much space as possible

I love the style of that fridge! That bottom level pull out kind of fridge would not work in my kitchen, so the only other option I had was the side by side like your sister’s. It is ok, but I would have chosen one like yours if it had been an option for me. What a great update for your kitchen!!
