The Japanese version had more feeling to me. The tears of happiness start rolling the moment Chibiusa cries out to her Mum as she runs into her waiting arms. The gentle tone of Neo Queen Serenity voice is so warm and sweet.

But the voices are so terrible and annoying, and the changes in the plot are just the bottom... They literally turned the bittersweet finale of the first season into a messed up kindergarten...
holy shit, I never knew how badly Dic butchered one of the most moving scenes in the entire series. that music is TERRRRRRRRRIBLE, and the original music was beautiful and perfect in every way. and then "Rini"'s voice acting... good lord is that bad. hardly any emotion at all, welcoming her mother as if she'd been away on a business trip for 2 days or something.
You can see that all the dubbed of Sailor Moon is left out a lot of things that this series is going and even the heartwarming scene music was left out in dubbed. i love the original language with English subtitle
It would have been a good stopping point. But Season 3 and 5 are pretty good. The Pegasus and Rini dream scenes plus the episode of Serena and Rini switching bodies were good parts of the Rini focused Season 4.
oh yes. it's such a beatiful,touching and happy moment for both ChibiUsa and her parents and the dub music is like... i don't know,like on a funeral or something o.O the oryginal music is so full of emotions and it suits the scene so perfectly ! and i will never understand why they really had change even the music o.O because... was it really necessary to change even this ? well,i don't think so.
What bugs me is that they aren't in their Super Sailor forms or Eternal forms. Is it because they didn't want to give spoilers? Or it was initially supposed to be that way with them not evolving further but since Chibiusa traveled back in time AGAIN in the later season, she inevitably altered the past significantly enough for the soldiers to evolve into their Super forms?
If you look closely at the Inner Senshi in the side shot when Chibiusa curtsies, you can see everyone's face suddenly change and show surprise. That's attention to detail. (More noticeable in the remastered subtitled version)
Just to supplement... In the manga the Silver Crystal stopped their aging process once they reached adulthood... Chibiusa is like 900 but she never reached "physical" adulthood because one day she just stopped aging. Lol (according to the English manga)
1. Japanese is better than the English version, but the music that played on the English version is beautiful. 2. Although watching the show has brought childhood memories, but this version of Chibiusa is horrible. I've read the manga, and Chibiusa is mature, and watching Sailor Moon Crystal, I'm glad that they didn't make her into a spoil brat.

That's probably the reason, but I think of it as Pegasus is the one that gives Sailor Moon & the senshi a super upgrade. Pegasus does it cause of Chibiusa, who's from the future, so her being there changed the future and thus the senshi got a super upgrade while in the future where Chibiusa comes from they never got a super upgrade cause Pegasus never came cause Chibiusa didn't go into the past.
Naoko Takeuchi wasn't an animator, Marcelline. And the "They stopped aging because of the silver crystal" point has been covered twice; not really a "By The Way". :X

I don't think Naoko had written Stars by then, the original anime followed the manga quite quickly (the first arc of R was actually a filler while they waited for her to finish R haha), so she might not have designed those outfits then :) Hopefully that'll be something that's picked up on in the reboot!
