I know I keep saying this: Ghana has such wonderfully beautiful natural scenery.
I'd never get in a small boat on a river full of hippos.
    Hippos are incredibly dangerous.

This reminds me of one hippo we had here in few years ago at Damanko in Oti region in river Oti but sadly the hunters killed it. I felt really sad even till this day anytime I remember that story of how it was killed. Great job my dear keep it up.

This is brilliant. Better to see such species thriving in their natural habitat than in captivity.
It is so sad many Ghanaians are not aware such species still occur in Ghana.
I know someone who sighted a hippoppotamus in the Nzema area too.
I suspect and hope that the more illusive pygmy hippoppotamus may occur in Ghana still.
But be careful as these usually gentle animals have a reputation if disturbed
