Does the current melee have different attack range? (BRM5)

The video is recorded and edited quite swiftly which lead to the amateurish nature of the video. I apologize for the audio quality. I recommend the viewers to turn down the volume and turn on subtitles instead.
The experiment might not be accurate so I do recommend the viewers to do this experiment yourself. Strangely though, the knife somehow have better range than the other melee such as the machete and the crowbar.
