I know this video is older and don’t know if you bought curtains yet? But I have been using white curtains since 1998! I have never got tired of them, and they go with everything all throughout the years!
3:00 in video duration - I really love the light pole conversion for the plant, that's super creative; high five... And its just my luck I believe that I seen one not that long ago in the trash, and I regret not picking it up now. They would complement any garden as well, especially if the cord is cut off and the base gets barrier a little to conceal it; I'm going to try.

Harli,IKEA sell these sheer plain lace curtains for cheap, they used to be $6:99 per pair, ( Australia) I bought probably 20 or more packs o er the years and use them on all my windows as I don’t know what curtains I’m going to get either! They go with any decor and stop the sun from burning my plant’s! Hope it helps! ❤Natalie
love this idea! I bought some like that a few years ago and have used them in a few houses i've moved in/out of. They're great for blocking the harsh mid-summer sun while also letting some light in to your space!

My favourite pieces in my house are tables/shelves my boyfriend and I made together and stuff I thrifted and stuff I saved from my Dad’s apartment after he passed. I use them in my plant displays and think they make everything look better (even on my budget). Your pieces are so special! Look great!😊

You probably know that a lot of our food is irradiated. It doesn’t destroy the vitamins, but it does destroy the enzymes. So glad that you found something that is really working and is traceable all the way. Way to go, Harli
As far as curtains, I think what I would get is some of those nice pulldown shades that you can get them up and out of your way, and they can tuck up real close to the top of your window casing

I love all your plant displays! Especially that you incorporate thrift store finds and use unusual items. The standing lamp is definitely my favorite. I wish I could give you some advice on the curtains. I don't have any, just blinds. But, I typically see people buy 2 panels per window. Hope that helps. 😊💚.

Hello from Terre Haute, Indiana love these kind of videos. You and your husband are so talented. Like your spider plant I don't have any luck with them. Any tips.
Regarding window covers. I finally got window covers after 2 yrs. I put in the "up down" blinds and love it. I can pull down the top to the center and then pull up from the bottom to the center allowing full window exposure to access all the light.

Lmao she bypasses Her dresser lined with plants😍 i was like skert! Back up!😂😮 i use sheer curtains to go from 'direct' to 'indirect ' light for my plants, especially on a south wall
Mel Robbins is so inspiring to me! Did you enjoy that book? Your plant styling and preferences are so similar to mine and I love when you do these types of tours. I love seeing how you style and which pieces you repurpose. ❤

Wow! Fantastic collection as well as the design hacks! For the wicker stand you could coat the top with a sealant to protect it or cut a piece of plexiglass to fit it with a small amount of clear silicone sealant under the outer edge of the glass.
Girl your home decor style is the same as mine. 😅 my bedroom walls are bare and we still use furniture that my husband and I bought nearly 2 decades ago 😵💫 I just need more plants 😍
I love the lamp idea to lift it up without hanging it from the ceiling me living in an apartment that's a good idea to because I don't think they'd like it if I started drilling holes in this ceiling...... I admire your style the furniture ideas for plants as a lot similar to mine and I just need to learn the botanical names better than I know but I have been learning a lot from you so thank you very much I'm glad I found your channel
I love the plants on the books! What you could do there is put a piece of wood underneath to make the bottom one sturdy. Then I don’t think it will wobble!
If u don't want curtains u can buy a tint film for windows the sun and light will still be the same but no one can see inside but u can see outside and it's easy and fun to put on windows
Hi Harli! I love your beautiful plants and great finds on thrifting. I'm also jealous of that manga collection, can't wait for season 2 of Jujutsu next month 🌿

I’m going to pull together my collection of plant books to elevate my pot of zeylanica snake plants! You need your brightest light for your plants. May I suggest a sheer valance at the top of each window to soften the appearance and dress each window without blocking your light?
For curtains, first start with the most heavy duty curtain rods you can find (so you can hang plants on them too ), then paint them either the color of your walls or a neutral color, for curtains you probably want either a drop cloth color type to keep them from becoming outdated or not your style in a few years. (You can use drop cloth to make curtains😊 ) as far as to how many panels, I always do 2 panels per window frame , plus 2 or 4 extra panels. I personally don't like the 1-2 panel stretched out flat look.

I’ve been living in my house for 23 years and have, only recently, put up any window treatments. The ONLY reason I pulled the trigger is because my high indirect light loving plants needed a sheer curtain! I felt that I could commit to a couple cheap white sheer curtains from ikea. I, also, have a hard time slapping $ down on something of which I’m unsure. You are not alone!
We had a really big cat tree for our Maine Coon cat. He was too heavy for it so we took the scratching posts off and screwed plant risers to the top to make little plant stand/ tables. They work as as all three.
Suggestion that may be nothing but worth a try. Lol. I've seen some kind of product (not a cleaner or chemical) that is hydrophobic to keep rain drops off of cars rear view mirrors, it's like a sticker film.....it could maybe reinvigorate your love of the cabinet to be able to see through that front window clearly. It's beautiful but I totally understand being super excited about something but once it's done, it loses its magic. Lol. You did a beautiful job! If you get to a point where it doesn't suit you, or if it's just not worth the hassle, you could always repurpose it and move the plants you love into a pot or place you love just as much. Me personally, I'd love to try a cabinet like that! It gives me ideas. Lol
One thing about getting curtains...don't forget to measure your windows before you go. 😂 you don't want them to be too long. I always match them to furniture and make sure they are kinda thick if I want more light blocked out.
I would say if you have a lot of dark furniture, then do light curtains, and the same with the opposite. Make sure your curtains touch all the way down to the floor, designer tip I learned a while ago! With your aesthetic, I would say, go a neutral shade ☺️ also, I am curious about the little pond you built in your bedroom? Did you move it or did it not work out?
I love your $5 table! Those are so pricey now, everyone wants like $150 or more I swear. As far as utilizing your space more efficiently, maybe you could do a wall feature somewhere. OK Hear me out-don’t get rid of the big white bench unit yet, install pot clips or a rod to hang plants on it and turn it into a green wall of sorts. Could make a cool diy video too.
Sorry I can’t help with the curtains as I have the same problem! Lol I’ve lived in my house for over a year now and I just can’t seem to decide on curtains! We’ll both find some we like eventually 😅
I know This isn’t The video to do This On cuz it has nothing to do with my plant I have a lipstick plant .. 6inch hanging pot plastic It’s growing fast but I don’t what size pot to Have it In ? Is this size Ok? Also do I need To trim It ?

I’ve got chickens and would love to see your setup! You should totally do a chicken care routine and setup tour!
I've had all types of curtains, drapes. I tried the white shutters, I love them so easy, turn up or down for lighting, and easy to clean!

Love this! I have a plant stand as a drink table 😂.
I don't like heavy drapes or curtains so I use lots of sheers!! Gives my rooms a finished look and cuts the glare and hot direct sunlight!!👍

The plant on the lamp is GENIUS omg

What about a tension rod across the window and hang plants from them and you can do a multi level so you can have it as a curtain.

im going to try the book plant stand, but with board games! maybe with a wider base, itll be more stable :)
nice! that tv is quite high tho. I love your collection.
Love your setup always!! Do your kids mess with the plants that are low ?
Sometimes yes, that’s why I only have a few low ones right now
I think you’ve got the plant thing down. For your curtains, can you show the full window?

Very much attractive 😊
Harli I need at least 47 more minutes of this 😂
Hehe okay deal 😋

I have a lipstick plant .. 6inch hanging pot plastic
It’s growing fast but I don’t what size pot to
Have it

Is this size
Ok?
Also do I need
To trim
It ?
If I don't have a plants food what should I but in the moss
Bed sheets as curtains! Affordable and adorable 😍 white flowy curtains
You keep the mica in a dark area ?
I thought I remember you trashing that little terrarium because it was wood and so therefore moldy? Maybe I made that up 😅
Maybe glue books together
I don’t see the link to the terrarium build. Maybe I’m just blind…
😊😊😊😊😊
