I first watched the show in 2011 and I haven't rewatched the series once but kept in touch with it through TH-cam clips ever since and I have no memory of this Coach Molinaro scene. None whatsoever. Does a much better job covering Tony's childhood than the Many Saints of Newark ever did.

As an Australian woman I could never figure out what the fuck Chris meant by UFC my first watch through, I was like "was MMA even on TV then? Did the UFC" even exist at that point? I get it now, it's a university, I didn't understand how passionate Americans were about uni-based sports, I had no idea they were televised. You have no idea how confused that made me... it's funny to me now, can't blame me too much, It was 2013...
I'm from eastern Europe,and the first time i flew to down under i asked people on the plane what i should do, most recommended watching a game of aussie footbal. I replied blindly,you mean Rugby? No,they confirmed it's different.
I stayed very close to Melbourne sports park,and did not attend,sadly.
Later i saw that it was indeed different,and man oh man,what level of coolnes it is. I found it more interesting than even rugby,let alone commmercial american footbal-at least to my untrained eye. Extremely dynamic,aggresive even,the guys look well(tall,slim),love the huge terrain and those speckies are fantastic.It's the kind of sport that i think i would have loved to play-btw one sport very popular in Europe,that i don't see much in other places is handball.
Later i found there are two kinds of Rugby,and Australia is probably the only place who favors Rugby league more,yet at still a lower percentage than Australian footbal.
