    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anxiety recovery is most certainly not easy to accomplish BUT it is 100% possible! After 5 long years dealing with serve health anxiety and panic attacks I have fully recovered.
For most of my time dealing with anxiety, it was the physical symptoms of stress that seemed to keep me in the anxiety loop. I wasn’t able to think about anything else and would focus on every sensation in my body, no matter how miniscule it was. This extreme focus on a sensation lead to me blowing it completely out of proportion. What began as a small twitch in my chest are would snowball into me believing that I was having heart issues. Twitches now were suddenly a sign of ALS or other neurological diseases.
Of course I was always aware that anxiety could be the reason for e experiencing all of this but somehow couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that something mental could present itself in such a physical way. So anxiety was always lingering in the back of my mind but I couldn’t really get to terms with it.
That is how I rushed from one doctors appointment to the next and how I ended up diagnosing myself with every illness imaginable.
Between the visits I did follow some of the advice I found on anxiety website, forums and videos but nothing really worked. I am talking breathing exercises, positive affirmations, meditation and all these things…. Nothing really stuck or brought on any real improvements. I still kept them in my routine but was still highly anxious.
Everything changed however, after I made up my mind that I have tried everything imaginable to get to the bottom of this with no success.
I had enough of being this tired and fragile human and wanted to transform my life. Set myself healthy milestones like building up 10 pounds of muscles, sleeping on time and getting up early. All of my goals had one thing in common. They all were aimed at being a consistent, well-organized and fit person. Coincidentally these were all traits that would drastically lower stress. Over time I could feel the changes happening mentally and physically. Symptoms didn’t bother me that much anymore. Talking myself down from a panic attack was finally possible and I gained so much momentum and motivation to improve other aspecs of my life (how this channel came to life 😊 ! )
What I am trying to say is, that for complete recovery from anxiety and panic disorders, you should never focus on finding a solution or a cure to your stress symptoms. You will need to understand that the symptoms are just a byproduct of your anxiety. THEY ARE NOT THE CAUSE FOR YOUR ANXIETY.
Don’t spend all your time to figure out how to find symptom relief but dedicate yourself to working on actions that are proven to lower overall stress.
Hopefully you will feel more at ease and can concentrate on the more important parts of anxiety recovery. Which I describe in more detail here in this playlist:

I was feeling weak, fragile and sick for a couple of weeks, and was constantly thinking if it was something serious or anxiety. So I decides to test out my body. I went on a 250km biking trip for 3 days. It all went great. Now, whenever i feel anxious, witch i still very much do, i remember that trip, and how my body is actually well. Exercise gives you confidence in yourself and in your health, cleans your body and distrats you from the anxious thoughts. It's a very good therapy, I advise it to everyone. Be brave, take risks, don't fall into your own head, i know it's hard, but try it out, in small steps if you must, and be patient.

Thanks man, I have never related to a video this much in my life. I have had some good weeks the last couple of weeks, but a couple days ago I got dizzy/ringing ears/numb feeling, out of nothing, so I freaked out again. I just can't let the thought go that I'm physically ill, but I try my best to stay positve and thinking it's just mental. I'm running everyday, keep a steady sleep schedule, and eat healthy. I just hope it goes away one day, because I'm doing this for 4 weeks now and still I get this weird symptoms, even though I'm not thinking about it at all...

First of all - you implementing these healthy habits is amazing! You have to understand that these things will take time to show an effect. I too dealt with all the symptoms for weeks and months but stuck to it. Not solely because of anxiety but because I wanted to make the most out of this life and dont let anxiety hinder me on this. Hey man. Just so you know these videos actually help me calm down. I'm struggling so hard at the moment with everything. I was fine throughout my life till last year where I had my first panic attack at 31 years old and it's been snowballing down hill ever since. I've been to the hospital this year and had blood test more in this year than I have throughout my entire life.
I'm so happy I came across the videos just as reassurance that I'm not dying. I deal with chest pains mostly ever hour but I've started to tell myself it's nothing serious and get by even if its barely. I've not a full blow panic attack in a year where I actually thought I was gonna die and couldn't stand up properly. I'm taking your advice in your videos and going to try my best to improve and hopefully feel normal in the future. But thanks again just for giving me comfort and reassurance, it means a lot.

The Emergency Button is even beyond me!
Anxiety sufferers of the world unite! If we all got together in a football stadium like Live Aid concert but instead of music a few hundred people get to tell their anxiety stories to the masses present and we’d probably all go home feeling better!

Looking back there have been times over the last 40+ years where I thought I’d cancer, AIDS, brain tumor, MS, Parkinsons, heart issues, leukemia, stroke, brain hemorrhage, etc, etc. Always the worst case scenario. It was in early 2014 it went booom and I landed on planter anxiety.

But I found your videos today very helpful in the sense that they are very relatable. I don’t think I’m quite at the peak of anxiety that you were experiencing, but that also helped me realize that it’s not as bad as it could be. A lot of the things you tried I have tried and I am trying, but yes I realize that battling your anxiety is good, but really the only way to do that is by taking care of your body putting yourself in a good environment, surrounding yourself by positive people who bring you up instead of pull you down. Reach a state of mind where nothing disturbs you. There is a solution to every problem if there is a desire and determination. . For a relaxed life without anxiety sit on a chair, back and spine as erect as possible, hands on your lap with palms upwards, close your eyes and do nothing. Be still without moving and observe your incoming--outgoing breath and body sensations for around 10-15 minutes. What is important is to be as still as possible. Plenty of thoughts will come but slowly negative thoughts will reduce. The mind is reprogrammed to reach a stage of equanimity. Do twice daily or as per your convenience. This could be life-transforming if you desire change. Take charge of your life. Best wishes. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

Yes, thats exactly the thing with anxiety. We can do great for a while but then seemingly out of nowhere we get that one symptom we never had before or is just scary enough to bring us back into the worry loop. Its hard, i know, but ultimately you will have to working on positive habits even when facing these symptoms. It doesnt work the otger way around. Waiting for symptoms to stop to then work on anxiety isnt going to happen

      @datatel07 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@ImprovementPath thank you, this new one started about a month ago now for me and I believe my horrible diet, insomnia and poor lifestyle habits bought it on. Additionally, it happened during an important board exam, that really triggered it due to stress and a compilation of all those things bought it on.
The weird thing is, I don’t feel anxious but have the symptoms or sensations if you will. Its like my mind is hyperaware. Seems like the subconscious is trying to tell me something to make some serious lifestyle changes. Exposure therapy has worked so well for me but I really underestimated yoga, meditation, working out and eating right. Finally caught up.

What doesn’t help is I work an extremely stressful restaurant management job that is a 1hr 20 minute drive one way twice daily 5 days a week and I have to bust my ass it’s miserable and tiring which adds to the physical and mental stress 😫

Yes, sleep problems when dealing with anxiety is a big one! It was very difficult to fix it BUT was also one of the first symptoms/side effects that vanished. Something that helped me tremendously was just giving up on sleep. We tend to want to force ourselves to fall asleep because we are afraid that anxiety will get worse the next day. So what I did was just get out of bed and do something productive like tidying up my desk or organizing smth. Not going to lie there were a lot of sleepless nights but after a while i lesrned that i would still be able to function even without the sleep. Becauss of this my insomnia gradually improved

I had this same question, I started therapy and began turning back to clock and trying to figure out when my anxiety began and most importantly why. I managed to find the trigger, my therapist tells me that once your brain has been triggered it will always search for that danger, so the route is installed deep into your brain from a past trauma. Of course this is all personal to you, but even though you mate feel fine at the time, subconsciously your brain is looking for danger due to the past trauma (trigger)

How is your heart beat...Is it over 100 beat per second. If it is, it is definitely anxiety... How about your jaw? Do you have pain due to grinding of your teeth during your sleep. You need to sort out what made you scare!

dizziness ans vertigo are my main setbacks. They bring me back to sqaure one. The feeling of dizziness imbalance fear of fainting is really hard to accept. I keep searching for them and recently got to know that it could be due to low b12 levels. Now woth this new diagnosis I am further more anxious now.
How do you guys deal with dizziness amd imbalance feeling and rule out that all these are due to anxiety only.
    please reply guys

You never really talk about the REAL impact of this anxiety to body. After awhile, the anxiety will cause bad impact to our body. Of course, it does not cause the real sickness that we thought we had, but it really affect the well being of our body such as leaky gut, etc. I think your viewer need to realize that. If they realize about this, it will be easier for them to ignore the symptoms and correct the problems. By the way, I am a big fan of yours, just now, your talk needs to be more inclusive to the real physical impact, it is not just in our brain.

Hey there, I appreciate your honesty and your willingness to help others. I know you are a regular watcher of the videos as I see a lot of comments from you :)
I would never say that symptoms and effects of anxiety are only in the mind. They definitely are not. Ive experienced it and know how painful and disturbing symptoms can be. I dont think I ever said that the things we feel are just made up in our thoughts (at least i hope not as I myself would be pretty upset about a statement like that. PS thats one of the comments from family and friends that i mentioned in this video). What I want to say is that there really are changes happening to our body, some small and some big but our stressed out mind tends to catastrophize these sensations.
When I say i was worried about heart attacks it is because i did have real chest pressure, the twitches i hsd were there and not made up but the negative and often catastrophic thinking was definitely from anxiety.

Swelling muscle is NOT anxiety symptom. Go to a doctor, it is a heart problem.
