Pasay gave me Miss Universe vibes. Having watched and monitored The Miss Universe pageants since I was a young girl (that's been 5 decades!!!), I felt like Pasay was in the Miss Universe competition already. Although I love Makati, Bohol and Davao del Norte - Pasay exuded an aura of calmness and confidence all throughout the prelims - interview (she didn't allow the audio problem bother her and just continued to speak from the heart), swimwear, and gown. I wish all the girls the best this early. I thank them all for sharing so much of themselves in the competition.
Yeah if she represents ITALY. There's nothing Filipina on this girl! Cant speak our language. It should be a rule at MUP - must speak FLUENT FILIPINO. Its awkward to send her to represent MY COUNTRY . She even dont put an effort to insert a little Tagalog in her interviews. She shouldve followed Catriona's playbook where she inserts a little tagalog in her interviews sometimes she even mouths words that wld sound like she has an accent. Everything Catriona did was well planned. She does those to show shes making an effort to learn our language. Ms. PASAY shows no effort to embrace her Pinay side. Shes absolutely stunning and may even win Ms Universe Italy if she joined there. She only chose MUP not because shes a Pinay by heart. She joined here because her chances of winning the Ms Universe crown is higher if she was Ms Philippines as compared to if she was Ms Italy.
Siera!! I must say your pronunciation of these Philippine cities/provinces are so good! It's not the easiest thing to do for English speakers, but well done. One tip for the letter 'a' it's more of a neutral sound like in Spanish, closer to the 'a' in father (vs 'a' in apple). So for Baguio, it's pronounced more like 'BAH - gyoh' :)
HI Siera- most of the girls were wearing pearls from Jewelmer, the crown sponsor. In the Evening Gown, I love Pasay, Lucena, Baguio, Cebu City, Iloilo Province, Laguna, Taguig, Davao Del Norte, Palawan and Bohol.

If Ms universe is to be held in Europe her beauty becomes ordinary to the European. So I believe the muph should send a dekegate who represents truly the Philippines culture through her action and the way she speaks . If I were a judge the one that I should pick is Iloilo Province , second Iloilo City because I'm from Iloilo and I believe that they can be effective ambassadress of the Philippines. Third is Ms Makati . I like her skin tone and her performance in Ms World Filipina beauty ang dating.

Her walk is flawless, good posture, pretty clothing designer, her communication skills had improved and she speaks very relatable (her face is just a bonus 😍) which are the qualities of a beauty queen. I always agree with your reviews, Siera. And I also agree with you on Pasay as the one who slayed the evening gown and the swimwear. Are you going to do the preliminary interviews too? That one is another revelation of the girls who are just on the sidelines. Some outshined the frontliners. This is an awesome bunch. I'm sure it will give the judges a hard time.
I am very happy that I did not watch the prelimary in KUMU. It did not give justice to all these girls. To me are the following: 1. Pasay - so divine 2. Cebu City - sexy vixen 3. Taguig - not the gown but how she showed to everyone that she can wear anything. Special Mentions: - Pangasinan - Bohol Did anyone notice Ms Dyan Castillejo last night. Stunning!
Bohol ranked number 1 in q&a but when it comes to swimsuit and gown, i was expecting more.. there were more girls that better than her... I love neon pink gown and the neon green.. Pasay is elegant and beautiful in gown and number 1 in swimsuit.. we just didnt hear her in q&a..

Quezon wasn't on my list but, wow, she surprised me. Both her gown and the way she worked it were stellar. Misamis Oriental's performance was also excellent. Pasay was great, but I think it wasn't outside the box, Makati, and Taguig did very well as expected. Stage lacked backlighting, cameras also seemed underexposed.
misamis oriental is effortlesly beautiful, she dont need to wear so much beautiful gown her aura tells it all, her gown is not the most beautiful or nice but undeniably when she wore it and it looks so beautiful because of her aura and it factor

After the prelims, I felt like I was back at MU 2021 where almost everyone was not liking Bea's performance and could not put her for top 5 at least and then came finals and boom! Top 5! That is what I am feeling with Pauline now after the prelims. Many are not feeling her performance. But we never know what finals could bring. We'll see.

I don't know if this stage will be for FINAL? The light set-up was not great. One weak point is that it was too dark to shine the contestants physical figures and gowns.
Most of the girls who wore pearls, wore the same almost identical pearl necklaces because a major sponsor this year is Jewelmer, who also created the crown this year. I guess they specialize in the Golden South Sea pearls. Hence, the same color and size pearls on all the ladies who wore them.
Cebu needs to be more confident in her .. she sometimes go off-character But she has everything to become the next MISS UNIVERSE philipines I wish she worked on it ...she shud enjoy it
