Were karts louder back than?

Somewhat yes, 112 to 118 dba
Noise control methods are now employed to bring us within limits but the karts have a very distinctive noise compare to modern karting still. Everybody stops what they’re doing and rushes over to the sidelines to watch when F100 goes out.

Yes,i immediately noticed that those karts sound better than the modern ones.
I assume that its getting more difficult to race these things do to noise and environmental regulations!?
Thats an issue in my region.
France,belgium,Luxemburg.
I wonder for how long people can still use these...

@@billjohnson1809 To be fair, our ASN in the UK is very good and very proactive towards 100cc racing. I feel your pain in the rest of the world but no problems for here as long as we stick to sensible reduction measures.
