@@tjmb Window boxes are especially important when buying through online stores. When buying through eBay people see a picture of what they are buying. Just arrived with the ugly it nek. I didnt unpack the figure i sell it or take it to the garbage bin. Damn what an ugly mistake from Hasbro. Hoped i got a good one.
The feel like the quality of GI Joe Classified has been going down hill. The last few "waves" do not seem to be as nice and it seems to deal with the blind packaging now. I don't recall the window packaging figures being as crappy.
Very available like the blue ninjas, kamakura, etc. They’ve increased production numbers significantly since the arctic storm shadow. I’ve seen them going for $40-$80… it’s just silly.
The proportions of the neck, shoulders and collarbone are terrible. It looks like an alien or dinosaur neck FFS. Wow... that's a big fail on the Cobra Eel design. Hasbro continues to disappoint and fall even further with it's QC. Not surprised.

Without care and proper Quality Control ... 😂 Not good .guys it's very upsetting that they do this ,always remember to report this to Hasbro pulse .. I hope The Window 🪟 packaging comes back soon. .wow unacceptable.coming from them. Because we don't get our figures for Free , we pay for our stuff and expect to get them complete and fully assembled
imagine if you got that for your kid.. Christmas .. or if you re sell it as a box collector 10 years down the road right.. open box only due to QA Failure.
I hoped the QC was getting better since seeing the last wave, minus the floppy accessories, but they don't seem to be able to overcome structural issues with the figures.
Hmm, I suppose this explains the very limited amount of EELS in circulation. Someone at Hasbro realized their initial production batch was FUBAR'd. Hopefully the next batch have the issues resolved. Typical cheapness of Hasbro. My guess is they went with a 3rd rate chinese factory for this figure.
@@TheIslandViper something happened along the way though. There was a time that yes, Hasbro’s figures weren’t the best aesthetically but they were affordable and boy they were consistent. I never worried that my Hasbro figure would come broken or not right, or would break. Neca on the the other hand made much better looking figures but they were notorious for breaks and QC issues. Now Hasbro still is incredibly inferior aesthetically but doesn’t even have their durability and consistency anymore and on top of that they have the gaul to ask 30 to 35 dollars a figure in some cases. Meanwhile Neca quality has shot right up and their prices aren’t much more than Hasbro’s now. I’m just really struggling with that.
If you're gonna just put the figure in a clamshell on a peg why bother getting a replacement? Take the 1 with the neck and throw the helmet on it and put it in the clamshell on the peg, kinda seems like a waste anyhow so it's not like you'd be losing out.
Because that’s how I choose to display my figures. They can be taken out, which I do from time to time, and put them back in. I like to see them. Better than throwing them in a tote, and never looking at them. At least I do SOMETHING with them. Most people I see open them just check them into a box, and “store” them like a hoarder. I want my stuff to at least be right.
@@TheIslandViper do you have any extras laying around that you used for parts? You could take the neck off and paint it black and use that? I'm sure you know Hasbro is gonna waste your time and say we don't have any eels considering we short changed thousands of people by not giving them their eels so we can send you like 6 different snake eyes variants in place of it, lol, then you could use that neck to fix the eel. I feel your pain though.
@@Sideswipe5236 They put in an order for when they are restocked, and gave the a case number. I know chances are that I won't receive an Eel as a replacement, but something is better than nothing... usually at least. I was going to swap with torpedo, but they are different sized connections. I'm not sure what other figures share the same parts with the Eel as far as the dogbone or barbell connector. I'm going to crack open the chest tomorrow, and see if something is just out of place. Heat it up, and take it completely apart. There's also the possibility that the socket is not set far enough into the neck piece, and is causing it to set higher, but right now I suspect the problem is barbell placement inside the torso.
Yeah exclussive troop builders are absolutely poodoo. These are going a ridiculous 45-70 Blemflarks. But, I’m an addict for these guys and got 8, bleeding out the arse now, but eh, worth. I guess I should get them all opened and reattach their arms 🧐🤨

If all of this is the case, the retro versions won't cut it for me since I troop build and want the same gear.
I'm getting really fed up with Hasbro and their QC issues. Its just too much. We pay top dollar for these figures and wait for so long for these preorders to be fulfilled; only to finally receive the item and find it is defective. Part of this is due to the windowless packaging. If there was a window, nobody would of bought that figure with the arm broken off. No one and Hasblo knows it. They can pass off literal crap to the customer and they won't be any wiser about it until it is too late. I for one am starting to think it is time to stop supporting Hasbro products. I hate getting screwed around like this and the only way to deal with this nonsense is to vote with my wallet. They won't get my money for substandard merchandise. They can go to hell before that happens.
Windowless packaging has nothing to do with this. It was an Amazon exclusive, and you don’t see the physical product before purchasing. Others in store however, I get your point, but I won’t purchase in store.
This classified line has gone to hell. Actually rather satisfying, between changing the packaging and figures looking like garbage I have been saving tons of money
The packaging change was for a government incentive. I believe there was a factory change that’s led to some of the QC issues. Overall, the figures are still better than the Falcon wave.

@@hammertronactionfigures2426 Agreed!
Window boxes don’t matter if you purchase online, which is the way to go these days rather than wasting time and gas hunting for stock on shelves.
@@tjmb Window boxes are especially important when buying through online stores.
When buying through eBay people see a picture of what they are buying.
A picture of a window box shows the buyer what they are buying.
Buyers need to inspect their puchases before buying.
To do otherwise is not rational or reasonable.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
MY EYES! MY EYES! You're showing a WINDOWLESS box!
BOO! HISS!
🤣🤣
I don’t hate them. There is a way to make these into window boxes though.
Just arrived with the ugly it nek. I didnt unpack the figure i sell it or take it to the garbage bin. Damn what an ugly mistake from Hasbro. Hoped i got a good one.
Return it and try another.
Not only is it a retailer exclusive and sold out, it’s QC nightmare. Glad I passed.😂
Looks like several have this issue.
5:45 Yeah that sucks. Why? Why is it like this? That bugs me. (Rught as I wrote that you said it, alert Carl Jung 😂)
The feel like the quality of GI Joe Classified has been going down hill. The last few "waves" do not seem to be as nice and it seems to deal with the blind packaging now. I don't recall the window packaging figures being as crappy.
I believe there was a factory change, which led to the QC issues. I do think this latest wave was a lot better though.
Very available, like arctic storm shadow. You can tell us the current price, come on.
This one is defective, which is why it looks like that. The other one I opened is fine.
Ever since the window less packaging started, there's been allot of these Broken and or Loose parts arriving on package .like if the windows less packaging is giving the assemblers a reason to send them like this , .
Agreed. Seems it’s giving them an opportunity to be lazy.
imagine if you got that for your kid.. Christmas .. or if you re sell it as a box collector 10 years down the road right.. open box only due to QA Failure.
I hoped the QC was getting better since seeing the last wave, minus the floppy accessories, but they don't seem to be able to overcome structural issues with the figures.
You got more variety, people are different sizes
Need to get that Fortnite Shark for a photo op
If I could find one at Ollie’s maybe.
I hope my three don’t get cancelled from Amazon. I still have one as a back up pulse. But that would suck to loose the three.
I’ve seen a lot of cancellation posts.
Oh, you're just a casual fan of GI Joe I see.
Where are the comics and cereal boxes?
I have a few comics, but no cereal boxes or anything. I guess you could say “casual”. 🤣
Damn you got some bad luck there. Mine were actually pretty good😢
I opened an Iron Spider that fell apart in my hand. Lol! Not entirely unexpected.
You have the neck on backwards.
Watch the rest of the video. That’s not the issue.
do you have tv/ radio on in next room? lol
I left something on in the same room, and didn’t even pay attention to it. Was in a bit of a rush.
I bet the QC issues are mostly fixed in the next restock wave. There was supposedly a factory change that led to the quality issues.
Boy…Hasbro really just doesn’t care at all anymore. Their quality is pathetic at this point
I think Hasbro cares, but the process of fixing production problems in China is long winded. Hopefully the next restock will be fixed.
There will be a retro version coming I think. That, and I'm really surprised Amazon hasn't restocked by now.
@@TheIslandViper Yeah a retro Eel and Snow Serpent, I'm betting the retro Eel has the classic back pack and possibly spear rifle thingy, where the snow serpent will be color variation and no wolf pelt or snow board, but maybe tennis racket snow shoes.
Hate those packages.
Which packages?
@@TheIslandViper are you dumb?those package without the window.
I got the long neck version. 😢
Booo…. I did see in one of the Facebook groups that someone had found a neck ball that will work as a replacement. The post is long since lost though.
I dont give a shit , I will not be buying one of these figures anyway , as a MOC collector those plastic free Hasbro crap blind boxes don't work for me , can't use them , if I want to look at art , I will buy a comic book.. FU HASBRO !!! MOC FOREVER !!!
also i found Shipwreck at my local Target yesterday , he is my favorite Joe , held it in my hand , then simply put it back on the shelve , Hasbro will not be getting my money. FU HASBRO !!!
I went to Target and to my surprise, (South Lakeland, Florida), and they had 6 x Scrap-Iron, about 5 or 6 copies of Shipwreck, Rock & Roll, and Copperhead with one or two Torpedo. Passed on all of them. I thought about Scrap-Iron, but the windowless packaging and quality issues are making me reconsider any purchase of them. I had quality issues with three sets of the Viper 3-Pack with officer.
Window packaging is supposed to be coming back soon.
You have the neck backwards… how you missed it when the Adams apple was quite obvious is beyond me… 🙄🙄
EDIT: also with the long neck, have you not heard of a dremel? Just use a dremel in the neck hole, and bam long neck problem solved. Jeez…
The neck rotates 360 degrees, so it doesn’t matter. The figure with the elongated neck has a different barbell piece in the torso than the figures that look normal. It sets about 1/4 inch higher.
No…… no “bam long neck solved”. I’m not using a dremel to fix a fuck up, and shouldn’t have to. jEeZ…
It’s a toy dude you guys are way too critical of this stuff get a life! I let my kid open them and enjoy..They are not vintage!! And will never be worth anything!!!
🙄
Yet here you are waisting time on a toy dudes YT page commenting lol
@@Qc4073 There's usually one or two with nothing better to do. lol
Awesome collection
Thanks!
so he has an adams apple behind his neck genius?
Attention span, you have not. If you watch, you’ll see that the neck spins 360 degrees.
