- To kick things off we have decided to go with the Brabus G63 that many of you have seen on our Instagram page. In this Video we will go through some of the things we particularly like about this car and some of the things Mercedes-Benz could have done better.

A year ago, I watched this video and said to myself "im gonna work hard to purchase one of these bad boys". A year later, I'm a proud owner of a Mercedes G63 and just did a complete ownership review on my channel. You can accomplish whatever you set your mind on.

It's really a bad boy. All black like the way it is, it is definitely a badass car. But if you want something louder and more comfortable, try the Range Rover Sport SVR, that's a beast

What is the fuel consumption of this G?

Nicolas Angel That is not too bad for a G brabus because my friend has a c63s and he has 25l/100km average. I think its more than 28.2l/100km for a 3 ton vehicle. A C class is around 2 tons.

Swiss isn't the only country that you have to legalise parts and stuff we have the same thing in Lithuania, if you have a moded car that doesnt come with the mods stock then you have to go to an expert to inspect your car and check if its safe for the road if it is you can go ahead and drive it, for 2 years, then you also have to get it inspected every 2 years, but that aplies to every car.

Great review! Soundwise, is it a huge difference compared to the normal G 63? JP Performance equipped one G 63 with a great turbo which sounds amazing.

Thanks for the kind words! Unfortunately our Rode mic broke unexpectedly so we don't couldn't capture the sound very well on that day. It sounds incredible in real life! The turbo spool is very loud and can be heard even when just feathering the throttle! We might do a G63 exhaust video so everybody can hear what it REALLY sounds like! JP's exhaust sounds great, for sure. They sound similar, ours is just a little raspier and maybe even a little louder :-) Thanks for watching!

Sure thing.
This particular one is actually still stock engine wise (except for the catback valved exhaust). It's a 2016 G63 with 571hp. It's rather tricky in Switzerland with tuning (pretty much everything is illegal...) and the customer wanted to enjoy his full Mercedes-Benz warranty, due to some prior issues he had with another car. Stock hp is enough in these chariots, trust me!
We have done some 850+hp G63s in the past though... I usually just recommend a full exhaust and tune, because everything beyond that is really pushing the limits in terms of chassis, brakes etc. It becomes pretty much undriveable! I have driven a 1000+hp G before, the thing jumps 1.5 lanes at full throttle on the highway!

That's the point bro : The "fact" that this "truck" is an "ego extander" (like almost every single luxury car or "truck") is what I particularly love in it.
And, I don't give a f*** about the costs as I don't own one and I'm not rich.

How do you think it compares to the Range Rover SVR because those sound pretty good too, and I'm assuming are more comfortable. Obviously the looks aren't anywhere near to the G63 and I would take this one every time, especially when I see them causing around Geneva every day, but I'd be interested to get your opinion :)

Two entirely different cars. The SVR definitely feels more modern, but there is nothing like a blacked out Brabus G :-)

Dang, I misplaced my Powerball ticket last week.
The "harsh ride" is because it's not a "car". Not only an off road but an expedition type vehicle is what it was built for. It wasn't built to pose as a badass but expect an suv ride with the handling of a sports car. It's like the person that buys a four door pickup truck with a four foot bed trying to load 4'x8' sheets of drywall at Home Depot and can't understand why the ass is dragging the ground.

It’s just a car. I can’t stand when people think owners are just d bags or something or that it’s a waste of a car unless you want to flaunt nice things. Technically a cars job is to get you from A to B. So, a 1988 civic 4 speed with no ac or power anything except brakes should do everyone in the world just fine. But some people enjoy nice things and want to reward themselves for hard work. I know if I was a millionaire, it would be from working hard or making right moves, so best believe I would have nice things.

May I ask how does it drive via steering feel. Is the steering heavy and tight or loose and light. Either st high or low speeds. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
A very weird mix of light and heavy if that makes any sense. It's all over the place to be honest... but you get used to it. The wide 23" wheels actually help with the handling and steering. :-)

The concept doesnt really work for me tbh its a bit like putting a V12 a body kit and 23" rims on a Land Rover Defender. It ends up being average both and and off road instead of great at just one.

Thanks for your comment! You are not the only one confused with Mercedes AMG engines and their designations... I would have preferred if AMG kept the "55 AMG", especially on the G class as the G55 AMG was and still is a legendary car! You are right... "theoretically" it "should" be a G55 AMG.
Previous to the 5.5L Twin Turbo M157, most AMGs had the epic 6.2L M156 NA V8 and wore a "63 AMG" badge. I assume AMG did not want their loyal customers to think cars were getting less powerful at a time where downsizing became a must, so they just kept the "63 AMG" term. I suppose it would also be a bit silly to constantly change the names back and forth...
Either way... they are all amazing motors in their own right and I love them!

The "best sounding" part is debatable, i for one love the sound of the Range Rover Sport SVR! I still think the G-Wagon is much more masculine though.
I know exactly what you mean and love the SVR's sound too! They both sound amazing, just completely different! The bellow and turbo whistle on the G63 is so addictive (with our exhaust, stock is rather quiet), then again so is the SVR's super aggressive roar! Thanks for the comment! :-)
