For me the enemy deceived me into thinking that it's pointless to talk to God because He hardly listens or answers. I can identify with praying for those who have hurt you; intercessors are overcome with so much LOVE for them that they come back to you (not even looking for them to do so) and ask you to pray for them, and ask you for forgiveness. It is amazing how God does give an intercessor projects.

This is so speaking to me on a whole other level. Everything you have said has either already been said to me or I've experienced. Even when I didn't want the gifts that God has given me people have openly told me who I was in the spirit. A fighter and an intercessor.
Oh my God. All of this...everything...all of my life. Especially, when Dr.Stevenson said you will say or think the problem is that "people don't know God". That is my honest belief and I relate that to everything...and I can't count how many times a day I say that or think it in regards to various situations. I've only searched for this after hearing and knowing my call. It feels good to hear this. I could not care any less about some platform or anything like that . I just study the scripture and know what God has healed in me and he will do it for them too. I don’t know where I belying the church setting and have not attempted to find out . I’ve recently saw that he’s set me apart for a few years now and know why . I know it’s time to find a church family and am praying for Hod to lead me to the right place and one that is a teaching church. However, I don’t know what to look for and would love any suggestions. I didn't know why as a child I used to just cry for hours in the mmiddle of the night for my unsaved family members. All I could do is weep and call out their names to God and ask Him to save them, one by one, over and over...

When I pray, I always begin by thanking God for things. "Thank You Father for this day, thank You for watching over my children and grandchildren and thank You for answered prayers"...ect. Next, I put the full armor of God on all of my brethren and my children and grandchildren, calling out each of their names. Father, I put the full armor of God on my brethren, children and grandchildren. "The helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of Faith to quench every fiery dart the enemy has against us, the belt to gird our loin, the shoes of peace the sword Lord, Your Word. Please help us to utilize each piece of armor Father. Then I just chat with God for a bit. Whatever the burden on your heart is, pray about. "Father, I pray for those who are depressed and suicidal; please silence the demons who are telling these people to kill themselves because nobody cares about them , or that they won't be able to handle the consequences of their actions (like jail) or that there's no hope. Please send them my brethren who are full of the Holy Spirit and walking in righteousness, to witness unto them and to bring them to Christ. The more you pray, the Holy Spirit will guide you through it, He'll tell you how to word things. Just pour your heart out. Hope this helps. Practice, practice, practice! Lol..
Antawan Frazier CL Ward's instructions are right! It took me 2.5yrs to figure out i was an intercessor and then i still didn't do anything intentional with the gift until recently. The best advice I received was to talk to God like I would a close and trusted friend. Praise and honor him/love on him, then speak whats on your heart, and then listen.
@@MsRita2014 another intercessor told me to pray about it, and some time later my church taught about spiritual gifts and over time I asked God to confirm it. If you ask Him he'll show you.
