    That was a nice opportunity and a cool project to test your new plasma cutter.

      Thanks buddy! It's one of those tools that normally you can't justify if it's just a hobby thing...but at this money...hell yeah I'll happily give it a try. :)

      Definitely, a real handy tool to have....and the outlay isn't too expensive!😁👍

    That bit of kit works great. And the frogs look great too. 😀

      Thanks mate! Yes it just slices straight through this thin stuff....will be sourcing some tougher stuff to test it on soon!👍😁

      Oh it's a rare old bucket of fun Leona! I've been out cutting 4 and 5 m/m plate like its paper with sharp scissors! :)

      Thanks Jason! A bit more practice required but I had loads of fun with it. Think one of the next jobs is a decent workbench for weld/cutting...The milkman's going to be livid!👍😁

      Thanks Pam, when the family thought the gate looked a little too 'industrial'(well it is 4foot 2 wide by 6 foot high!lol)we decided some decoration might help...Sneekswallart did a tree frog in epoxy a while back and I knew I'd like to use that shape!👍😁

    I don’t know what I need one for but I need one!!! That’s so cool! What thickness would be max? 🥰🌲🦊🥰

    • @HueyLionsheart
      @HueyLionsheart  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Claire! Well....I'm going to be doing a bit of sourcing some thicker material to trial it on...but I believe it should be able to do 9 m/m thick in mild sheet steel! That's be a heavy old chunk. Will have to get the bigger compressor on the go as this little one is at full capacity and I'd be worried that thicker stuff might require a tad more pressure..watch this space for more updates...I intend to find out how good this machine is.👍😁

    That looks surprisingly capable for a cheapy! Thanks for the review Huey, I had no idea plasma cutters were so simple to use. And like Claire, I have no idea why I need one, but i want one anyway!
    Cheers buddy!

      @HueyLionsheart  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Pete!😁👍 As long as you have a small compressor/access to a compressor you're away! And seeing as Lidl and Aldi both do cheap compressors what's not to love?! Now if only they did TIG welders too...🤣

    I previously owned a 30 amp plasma cutter sold by R_ TECH UK for over £430 and this little parkside one from lidle cuts superb in comparison . I purchased the 30amp from lidle UK and the 40 amp version from Germany so I now have two.
    These are superb machine's for little money .can't be beaten.

    • @HueyLionsheart
      @HueyLionsheart  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree wholeheartedly! Seems very capable...it's now been used on 3 and 5 m/m flat steel and was just as good, the more I'm using it the cleaner the cut seems to be too...I'm getting a feel for how fast to move the 'torch'. Absolutely cracking value for money!😁👍

    Will be interesting to see how long it will keep going...

    • @HueyLionsheart
      @HueyLionsheart  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it will be interesting, I'm sourcing some different gauge materials for testing with it too. Seriously fun bit of kit! Thanks for checking it out.👍😁

      @@HueyLionsheart I've only used a plasma cutter once (and that was an industrial one in a welding class) so to see what a ultra budget one can do will be fun!

      @HueyLionsheart  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CrudeButEfficient Today it breezed through 4m/m and 5 m/m plate. My little compressor is at full bore though so I need to get something better sorted!

    Whoa I’m way behind, you can’t fault that for the price, do try to keep you air dry, it’s the moisture that eats your consumables.
