      I went to the link you provided. There is a picture if all the blocks together but 6 is not there. I clicked on the visit in the space where it would be and it brought up a picture of the block but no instructions.

    At our house we know that putting things in a "safe place" frequently means we won't be able to find them later. LOL

    In Caruthers, California there is a well known free fair that is amazing 🤗 our church, Monmouth Presbyterian Community Church, was renown for its sandwiches, and variety of homemade pies 🥧😋

    Love how all the different roves with the black and white dots anchor the whole quilt together. It’s quite a charming quilt.

    I’m happy to know I’m not the only one who puts things away and then can’t find them😂. On a positive note, I love to bind by hand and just recently bought those needles from FQS and LOVE them. ♥️

    I took an appliqué class from Jan Patek many years ago and she recommended to use a milliners 11. Bought them but for me they were too fat for appliqué so I put them in my binding notions box and like them for that. Haven’t used up the whole container yet.

    While you’re looking for your needles, will you look for my 3/4 complete New York Beauty quilt top? I put it in a safe place about 3 months ago. 😊

    At first I wasn't too sure about this quilt. But each week, it has grown on me and I love it. I'm so thankful that all the info is still on your website. I'm going to use my Christmas scraps (I have a LOT) to make this beautiful and fun quilt and hang it up each Christmas!!! Thank you for all the inspiration and creativity that you share with us everyday. 🙂

    Very timely video on the hand binding and needles. I just bought some English milliners needles last week to try for hand binding. I wish my threader would work as easy as yours. Have the same one;always takes me several tries before I get the thread in. For the price I paid I expect it to work on the first try 😅.

    • @PatSloan
      @PatSloan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you might be pulling the needle out too fast, not pulling the thread laying in the groove towards the needle, or using a curved needle and not having the eye straight. it will work everything when you do those things. i have a video on it, use the magnifier to search

    Pat, such a darling quilt. I love house quilts. They're one of my favorites. If you plan to keep the quilt for yourself, I think it would be cute if you put your house number on one of the houses. Blow the dust off your embroidery hoop:)

    I love the Primitive gathering binding needles. I never considered myself as strong as Wonder Woman, but I tend to bend needles. These really hold up. They may take a little getting used to.

    I like hand work and will try those needles. My first quilt teacher preferred longer needles even for hand quilting.

    Will you, Pat Sloan, be my neighbor...that would be great fun (in my neighborhood distance isn't that important it's the association, interaction of friends that matter). Love the colors in Hometown Charm block (hope I don't get them confused). The Will you be my Neighbor polka dot roofs rock! Lord willing, I'll see you online tomorrow so stay warm (it's very chilly in Tennessee today, should I pull our long John's out or wait another week or so; definitely putting another blanket on our bed!)

    Someone suggested keeping a planner and making lists of projects as well and writing down where you 'safely' put it away. I definitely need to do this!
    I have been loving the Hometown Charms blocks! Printing them out. Too bad I always so many things to catch up on!!
