    Quick FAQ for everyone :)
    1. CASPer snap shot still is not required as of 2022 (just normal casper is)
    2. The ABS and all other components of the OMSAS application still need to be completed
    3. Interviews are MMI format and the entire marking scheme can be found online: mdprogram.mcmaster.ca/docs/default-source/admissions/interviewer-manual-mmi_websiteversion.pdf?sfvrsn=2
    4. There are 3 campuses at McMaster - you will be asked to rank them in order of preference after the interview process
    5. Link to the MD/PhD information can be found here: healthsci.mcmaster.ca/mdphd

Applying to medschool is probably one of the most challenging things someone can do (especially in Canada). Thanks for making the process a little more clear and straightforward, keep up the great work.

I don't see anything about oop seats? Do they allow for out of province applicants? How many seats are available for them?

Hi Dhruv, I'll link this section of their website:
Ninety percent of interview positions will be given to those who qualify as (1) Province of Ontario Resident, and 10% to those who qualify as (2) Outside Ontario .
To qualify for (1) above, an applicant must: (a) be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident by the application deadline, and (b) have resided for at least three years in Ontario since the age of 14 by the date of possible entry to the program. Attendance at a university in Ontario for at least three years by June of the year of possible entry to the program satisfies the second requirement.

Thank you so much for making these guides! Can I get your advice pls? I attended uni-A from 2007-2009 (4pt GPA), did not get a degree. Became a nurse, worked, had a life for a bit, then I attended uni-B from 2017-2021 (9pt GPA), retook some courses, and got a degree. For McMaster, how does cGPA factor uni-A courses, uni-B courses and retaken uni-B courses? I'm just trying to accurate estimate my GPA competitiveness. Thank you!

Amazing video! I am currently a nursing student (2nd year), but nursing school is so difficult to maintain your GPA in, as it is very heavy course. Do you have any suggestions for how to bring up your score to apply to med school? I would love to hear your views!

Quit chose another degree the path of least resistance. you don’t need a nursing degree to get into McMaster. It doesn’t make a difference it’s pure math to get an interview. All your courses are weighed equally. Also, a nursing degree is pretty useless outside of nursing. It won’t help you with mcat, especially in the physical sciences. Choose what you want to do be a nurse or a physician both pathways have distant requirements. You can’t do both if you don’t have the financial requirements to do both. If you do then that’s another story but don’t kid your self they both require a lot of money, sweat equity, and time. It’s about you being honest to yourself if you feel you need a plan b then that’s your answer. 😊

It's easier surviving a zombie apocalypse than applying, and being successful, in getting in....talk about jumping through flaming hoops from hell.....kudos to all who persevere and get in on any attempt
