I’m a violinist- not a good professional, but still a violinist nonetheless. Beethoven’s concerto is full of scales, so getting the octaves and scales should be easy once you practice more. Brahms is definitely harder in my opinion, but with Beethoven’s, it’s kinda hard to not offend anybody. Either way, I hope you succeed in any attempts to perform these concertos :)
Hi sir, thanks for allowing me to appreciate such beautiful performance. I am from China and we have an app called bilibili, people in China have no access to TH-cam means they can’t enjoy this video. I was wondering that can I upload this video to bilibili to let more people enjoy this beautiful music please? I will not upload until permission is given, and I will not edit anything or gain anything throughout the uploading, thank you!
I will also link the original source, the link of this video, in the description if I upload, so more people can know your hard work and enjoy the beauty of music!
"life without music, I can't go" ... Steel Pulse
I learned music by taking violin as a a kids, pre teen in my own way.Classical music taught me a lot about how to approach my own creativity when it comes to music. How to hear.💓🌌
This is the thing with many Romantic-period Classical-style composers like Schumann, Grieg, Brahms blahblah: I look at the score and feel like I could have written something similar but the complexity is always unravelled for me much later either in subsequent listens or when I actually try composing something similar Brahms man
Personally 11:48 to 12:05 is definitely my fav spot of the piece - wish there were a bit more accentuation and crescendo as the trill builds up Also 12:22 to 12:59, the incessant switch of octaves with the group of notes climbing half steps each time really builds up the tension
In his violin concerto, Beethoven frequently used the technique of ornamenting a melody with octaved triplets. Perhaps Brahms was influenced by him? (E.g. 6:21)
Brahms is not a composer that wants to impress others with his capacity to write technical passages but he is certainly very hard to play because every first note of the arpeggio must have a well marked accent which I do not hear. His music is very articulated and you can make it live if small but continuous aspects become obvious. Solist too weak he has little passion...
Personally, I think that the best Brahms Wind Ensemble is the start of the Second Movement of this piece!
00:00 Allegro ma non troppo
23:50 Adagio
33:31 Allegro giocoso, ma non troppo vivace - Poco più presto
Thanks for sharing :)
Favorite part ! 7:13 - 7:54

How about if I can arranged this to Piano and Orchestra?
That’s cool. Someone else did it as well.
@@squirrel4727 who else did it?? I've been looking everywhere for a piano version
@@lukekelly3627 I don’t remember the name of the person, but we were talking about the version for piano and orchestra, not for pure piano
Legally, you absolutely can. I don't see any other reason not to either, as long as you want to.
Beethoven arranged his Violin Concerto to Piano and Orchestra, so yeah go ahead!
3:16 kinda the best

Heheheha
I can guarantee those dissonant arpeggios are the most annoying thing to practice

Which is harder to play, this one or Beethoven's ?
I'm no violinist but Brahms' should be harder.

They’re both very hard in different ways. That’s why many violinists don’t start either until they’ve reached a certain musical maturity
I wish this video had a better violinist playing. This fellow really struggles
Do you play it?

Brahms man
Absolutely agreed, I feel the same way
It's true for geniuses in every era. And especially true for Mozart, personally.

If I had to characterize Brahms' style and harmony, it would be like reversing time to get Beethoven back.
I wish Brahms wore more symphonies, he probably would have been in my top 5, maybe even 3 if he had done so

I don't know, but it Is lovely anyway.

8:55-9:55 best 1 minute!!!
17:17 is great
Ling Ling mastered this in the womb

Same
The first movement is played too slow and sluggish.
I think the 1. is good but the third is for me to slow and sluggish
but the intonation and how clean the execution was can't be ignored!

Isaac Anwar Watts I agree :)
i thought it was quite weak, seemed like there was a lot of shaky bow

Who is violinist? And which is the orchestra?
Very reminiscent of Beethoven's Violin Concerto.
