@@abumc5104 As a native Chicagoan, been spinning house since the mid 80's.. i'd have to say most of it was not what i'd considered to be. A lot of house that's out today isn't and don't know exactly what it is. And It frustrates me greatly as a Dj that it's very hard to find real good house music. Just like jazz. If you were a Jazz enthusiast from that era and town where it was created, you would be a good judge to consult with - someone to ask - someone whom could say whether or not what is or what isn't jazz - to be able to point out a good house track - the true elements of what it is and what it should sound like. For instance.. there is no such thing as Afro house.. just as there is no such thing as Afro Jazz. You can call it afro house.. but that's isn't house. Just my humble take on it.. and excuse me if i'm coming across arrogant.. but also, A lot of these different genres? "Most" of it isn't house and is actually very bad so-called house music. Peace!
