  • In this video, I finish painting the massive Tamiya Monster truck body as well as replace the missing bearings and fitting two more powerful brushed Kyosho Mega Monster motors. The ESC has also arrived, so that is the last piece of the puzzle.
Is this the best Tamiya Monster Truck ever built, let us find out how well it drives. In an upcoming video, I will put the TXT-2 head to head with the most famous Tamiya Monster Truck of all time, the Super Clod Buster.
Stay tuned as this one is going to be an epic showdown.

I have the original Clod Buster and original TXT-1. I have to say, the TXT-1 is the winner just by design and build quality. You can sometimes see them in my videos. The Clod Buster I have had for 33 years, and needs a total restoration. Only looks good on the shelf because the body is near perfect and the Sassy Chassis looks great.

Metal is absolutely the correct music for Monster trucks and drag racing, much prefer it to your normal music choices, but horses for courses! Keep up the good work Sir.

i have a Clod and a TXT-1. And out of the box, I'll say that the Clod is more fun because it's lighter, higher geared and faster. The TXT-1 is heavier and lower geared but has insane articulation for crawling. I modded my TXT by reversing the trans and battery compartment, adding reverse rotation Traxxas Titian 14.4V 550 motors, dual batteries and Novak XR Super Duty ESC. Now It's fast and has tons torque for crawling. I go easy with high speed and 4WS.

Indeed painting lexan bodies takes a lot of patience and time but it's so rewarding when its finished. You've done an awesome job on the paint job and the overall build. Truely inspiring it is!!

It was definitely a good decision to change to the blue instead of black. The red also turned out great👍

Cool rig and good job on the video. If you got no metallic colour, you can work with the flake paint before putting on the right colour. Try the work first on a rubbish piece of lexan to get the perfect result on the car.

Amazing!!! I also painted mine in the same blue red acheme. How did you put Clod wheels? Their adapter is different as well as offset. Those little pins are bigger on Agrios. Aaahhh... You have the clod adapters. I didnt so I 3d printed new adapters. Also you can go another route and get txt1 wheels, but they are bloody rare.
