God bless you Father for your great love and service to the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites! I am in formation in an OCDS community in Texas and have found these as well as your book a wonderful source of knowledge, support and encouragement. God bless you now and always
Oh Father, how I love the Carmelite Order. I often pray the Litany of the Carmelite Saints. I went to Avila in 1974 and fell in love with St. Teresa of Avila. I live in Miami, FL, but no one has been ever been able to orient me.
Another night, another video. I pray for you Fr. Aloysius! Immaculate Heart of Mary, please enfold Fr. Aloysius in your perfect love for your son. Jesus, please look at Fr. Aloysius and see only you mother’s Immaculate Heart.
Thanks so much, Fr. Really like your new setup. The reference you made to Holy Mother Teresa’s remark on holiness and sociability was thought provoking. We have been talking about points you have been making at our OCDS Community meeting here in Florida, USA. God bless you for your ministry to us.💕
I have been OCDS for 45 years and joined as an isolated member in the UK where there are few Carmelite priests. It was allowed then. I do not live near a Carmelite community, and am old, disabled and live a fairly solitary life, with just minimum contact with my parish. We do not even have Mass every day so I follow livestreamed ones on the interner. I keep up prayer and Divine Office, so what ismy mission now please?
Dear Wendy. From what I can understand in your situation is that your mission concretely is expressed in the intercession you make for the needs of the parish, the Diocese, the OCD Province, and the universal Church Years ago, I met an OCDS in Romania who was then 92 and bedridden. She kept next to her bed a list of names. She said, "Father, every night before going to sleep i tare up this paper and get my pad of paper and a pen and write a new list of names and intentions. I the say my night prayer and I show the list to God and say to Him, 'Lord, you cannot take me tonight because these are the people I must pray for tomorrow.'"
@@ocdforocds1161 Thank you Father. Yes, I see it as offering much solitary prayer. And because has given us the internet, I use that too for this purpose. I am 88 and disabled. +
RIP Fr Deeney, you’ve helped my vocational life tremendously 🤎
