as someone who knows things about hair and hair dye, semi permanent dye is not ruining your hair its actually probably one of the best things you do to it because the formulas are usually conditioning. if it has a developer, it damages. aghh

i think it looks really cute! some people just have frizzy hair, doesn't necessarily mean it's damaged. a professional could do a conditioning treatment to help with the frizz if you don't like it (or you can deep condition at home) but it doesn't seem that damaged, especially since you're just using temporary colors.
I use Olaplex no. 3 and the oil, too. It really helps my hair as I use a lot of direct dyes to keep up my pink hair. I think it would be great for Alex.
Ya see, Alex used to have quite curly hair, but bleach often times ruins curls, and blow drying it without styling it is gonna result in floofy frizzy hair

For all my fellow Americans: We’re the drama. We’re the ones who are storing eggs wrong. They keep just fine if left alone, but our factory farms wash them, which not only removes the coating that allows them to go unrefrigerated, but also increases the chance of food borne illness by washing the yuckies in through the pores of the eggs.

We're getting more brown eggs under the myth that brown eggs are healthier, but the truth is that store-bought eggs in general aren't particularly healthy because the chickens aren't. Basically -- different chicken breeds lay different colors of eggs!

Read up on chicken breeds :) We used to own wyandottes, cochins, lakenvelder chickens and 2 brown hens that were saved from egg laying factories (they had their beaks snipped off). They all had different eggs, some white, some brown, some tiny, some just small. ps I'm from the Netherlands.
Also we are not doing it wrong just different. Both methods have been shown to be equally effective at preventing disease and cross contamination in eggs. I personally do agree that it would be better to leave the natural egg cuticle intact considering once it is gone they HAVE to be refrigerated and the energy expenditure to keep eggs refrigerated throughout the whole process to get to consumers. Washing them doesn't allow the "yuckies" to get through the pores of the egg in and of itself. The eggs would have to be left in contaminated water or kept at too warm of a temperature for there to be contamination. But yeah studies have shown our method doesn't cause an increase in food borne disease.

Something I've been meaning to ask - have you tried to use the Curly Girl method before? Rachel from Rachel&Jun tried it and she has similar hair to yours, and hers came out really curly when she thought she had straight hair, and I tried it as well - turns out I actually had curly hair rather than wavy! There's a lot of politics around what's "allowed" in your hair care with the CG method, but the method of "casting" your hair with mousse and gel out of the shower and then drying it tends to help a LOT with taming frizz, bc you're letting your hair dry the way it wants to without the weight of the water and gravity pulling it straight!

The “two tone” is because you can also by a diluter from the same brand therefore it can be light or dark, aka two tones! I’ve used their colours tons of times and I love it!
The end result looks really good. Can't wait to see where the hair journey will take us before the big cut at the end. My mom from a very early age on always let us do whatever we wanted with our hair but also taught us to always trimm our ends every couple of months to keep the hair healthy. Still go to her for that actually because why spend money I don't have on a hair dresser when my mom is perfectly capable of cutting of like 1 to 2 cm of hair too with her hair cutting scissors? She enjoys it I don't have to spend money it's a win-win situation. I also cut my own bangs and people sometimes freak out when I tell them that but honestly I've been doing it for so long it's not a big deal.
This was absolutely me a few years ago, as soon as I was old enough to do what I wanted with my hair I did everything I ever wanted to try, destroyed it, and shaved it off. Hair is just hair, it’s really fun and it’s YOURS! Do what thou wilt! But film it too for us lol 🌝

Omg yes!!! I stop colouring my hair about 5 years ago because of all the damage I had done to it. I gave in 2 years ago and coloured it and immediately regretted it. It was like I had all that damage back from one colouring! I really miss being able to change my hair colour though and now that I'm getting a decent amount of grey (im not worried about being grey I just hate the transition. If I w9ke up tomorrow and it was 100% grey id be ecstatic.) I've been thinking about wigs for those times I want to change it up

Yea if you have particularly light weight hair it naturally looks floofier and frizzy in some cases

Alex, when you brush your hair it looks like my mums hair after she brushes it. She has very curly hair so im wondering if you possibly have natural curly/wavy hair? If so, maybe you could try doing a curly treatment to your hair to see what it looks like? :)

When you wanna revamp your hair you should totally just shave the whole thing, then you can do a series wear you buy wigs from different places, wish, shein, amazon, whatever.... It would be sick!!

Omg yes!!! I stop colouring my hair about 5 years ago because of all the damage I had done to it. I gave in 2 years ago and coloured it and immediately regretted it. It was like I had all that damage back from one colouring! I really miss being able to change my hair colour though and now that I'm getting a decent amount of grey (im not worried about being grey I just hate the transition. If I w9ke up tomorrow and it was 100% grey id be ecstatic.) I've been thinking about wigs for those times I want to change it up
