Lisa has been a hip-hop dancer in Thailand even before she trained in Korea. Now, she's posting dance videos on her TH-cam channel and being a dance mentor to a group of male trainees. Jennie is busy with her modelling as she is the global ambassador for Chanel. Jisoo is currently shooting her own drama (basically a TV show) where she's the lead star. Rosé is out doing variety shows and promoting her solo project. She's also out doing modeling work for YSL as she is their first global ambassador.

Some of their earlier songs Jisoo was struggling with some of the English words, as they don't have a word to replace it in Korean. As BP have grown, Jisoo has learned more English, and her confidence has got better, her line distribution is just fine, the one with the least distribution and screen time is actually LISA and not just in Video's, even in award shows when it is her turn the film the audience. I haven’t gone through your comment section but I’ll leave most of the info up to other blinks cuz I’m sure they’ve given plenty. Names- Jisoo (G-Sue) , Jennie (just like it sounds in the west), Rose’ (Row-say), Lisa (like in the west). Since said you’re gonna take the deep dive I’m suggesting starting from the beginning and work your way to the present. This way you see their out of the cannon start and progression to today. Again just a suggestion. Also, I suggest watching 2-3 more m/vs (music videos) then a guide or two and progress from there. Jennie: Vocals/Rap
Rosé : Vocals
Lisa: Rap/Dance
There is no evidence that YG has ever officially assigned main and lead rankings (and there actually would be no logical reason to do so, since the company and company producers already know the members' abilities better than anyone and would not need any list of permanent official rankings). The ranking of members according to "main" (first), "lead" (second) and "sub" (third) labeling is just something that Kpop fans do whenever a new group comes onto the scene, often just based on speculation and limited information about the members of the new group. Sometimes they can be sort of accurate and other times are misleading. (Linguistically, it doesn't even make sense to use the word "main" to mean highest ranking and the word "lead" to mean second ranking. It's just something that caught on in Kpop culture a long time ago and persists due to repetition by Kpop fans and Kpop "news" sites, etc. Traditionally, outside of Kpop, the word "lead" always has referred to a group member who mainly is the most prominent in a particular role.)

First ("main") and second ("lead") position rankings were never mentioned when the group debuted and was introduced by their company and to this day the company has never referred to any such rankings in any official way. (Even in the recent full-length Netflix documentary on the group, there was no mention of any such main/lead/sub rankings.)
The members all are multi-talented. But, as indicated in YG's debut description, in most BP songs Jisoo will generally always be found doing singing parts, Jennie will be doing singing and/or rapping parts (sometimes both and other times focusing more on one or the other), Rosé will generally always be doing singing parts and Lisa will generally always be doing rapping parts (while she is also acknowledged as being an exceptional dancer, who takes a lead in helping the members with learning and practicing the group choreography, etc.).
Of course they're free to mix things up, depending on the song. On rare occasions Jisoo and Rosé will do parts that are closer to rapping. Lisa also is a good singer and will sometimes do singing parts. Each of the singers has a unique quality. Jisoo is known for her stable and lower-register vocals. Jennie has a distinct and powerful voice (strongest in the middle register) and she usually starts most BP songs. Rosé has a very unique sounding voice and is the most powerful in the upper register, so she often does the climax high notes in many of their songs. Lisa does the most rapping (and the least singing) and is called the "dancing machine" in the group. She was regarded as a dancing prodigy even before she joined YG. (But the group songs so far have not provided any dance breaks or choreography that highlights her dancing, so in concerts (when each member does a solo stage performance) she will do dance performances for her solo stage -- and on her own she does dance performance videos on her "Lilifilm" youtube channel.)
@@TEAM__POSEID0N I do not know if that is true but I do not think YG's descriptions of their "official roles" as you stated are comprehensive either, because, obviously, they can do more than this such as all of them actually dances so all of them actually serves dancing ever since they are trainees and especially BLACKPINK right now, as the time passes by, they got to show more and more of what they can do as artists and their potential in it. Like Rosé, Jennie, and Jisoo are obviously dancing, Lisa is singing, and Jisoo is rapping. This is why fans actually make their own thing and "rank" the members because it just does not seem fair to each of the members, it is actually a good start for the new BLINKS provided by the fans on who is who. Because it really gives the "justice" or fairness on who really has the most capabilities, that way we can adore honestly each of the members on what they actually can do.

when you’re a little more advanced getting to know blackpink and bts, react to mamamoo. they’re a kpop girlgroup, but they really stand out from other groups. they are not the typical kpop group you see out there 💖
I think this is gonna be fun fellas! Always cool to see new fans get so hyped about the Pinks. I haven’t gone through your comment section but I’ll leave most of the info up to other blinks cuz I’m sure they’ve given plenty. Names- Jisoo (G-Sue) , Jennie (just like it sounds in the west), Rose’ (Row-say), Lisa (like in the west). Since said you’re gonna take the deep dive I’m suggesting starting from the beginning and work your way to the present. This way you see their out of the cannon start and progression to today. Again just a suggestion. Also, I suggest watching 2-3 more m/vs (music videos) then a guide or two and progress from there. Again, only a suggestion but I think it’s a great way to learn about them as a group and individuals. I mean 58 million TH-cam subs and billions of views can’t be wrong, right right?!
