The park service needs one of those Norwegian snow blowers that are mounted on a tracked vehicle. They can cut out 6 feet of snow per pass. Of course, with our new president, they won't get enough money to upgrade their equipment. But we will have a damn fine wall across the southwest.

The start with dozers to break the ice and access remote areas prone to avalanches where they use track hoe style vehicles. Then they finish the roads with the blowers which will still have 2 to 10 feet of snow on them. You really do sound stupid when you try to make something political for no reason.

I'm surprised engineers haven't invented a snowmobile that can move deep snow drifts and not require dozers to knock them down.
A lot of it is also about economics plus dozers are practical why invent something over the top if a dozer does the job
