That is one nice looking and sounding bass....I love it! i got a 2015 yamaha 5 string, that has AWESOME sound.......Yamaha makes one of the best bass guitars out there. Their electronics are TOP NOTCH!

Yamaha produces a TRB series that has an active/passive switch. That’s the bass I have gas for. Abraham Laboriel turned on to the bass back in the day

How does the TRB-5P compare to the TRB-5PII?
I tried 5PII once! Well different pick up. 5P has a PJ setup and 2 band preamp. so it sounds more organic to me.
Yamaha trb or Peavey cirrus ?
I only tried the Indonesian Cirrus, not yet the US, so I said cirrus is out of league with this 5P
Great bass. But I'm not sure about the piezo, It just adds a lot of fret noise. And the slap sound of piezo is so sharp. Or what?
Even Seb yeah I rarely use the piezo, it actually adds the acoustic nuances from the wood to the overall tone
