    @mycorvettelife once again, such awesome useful video. I’ve literally got this exact job next on my todo list. Then the video ends with you showing parts you’ve ordered giving me an idea of lots of up and coming content. Content that I know will come in very handy again.
    The paint for the valve covers, the shocks and pump parts. All on my todo list too. Great to know I can watch you do these and learn from it before going into it blind.
    Your Chanel is helping me so much. I’m a complete mechanical novice but bought my C4 to learn on and enjoy as a new hobby. I’m more of a visual learner than a book guy, so these videos mean the world to me and my build. Much love from the U.K 😎

    I love the C4's wheels. They're way more distinctive than the usuals.

    I didn't know about the drain hose for the cowl. I'm really enjoying the series on the C4! In the future consider satin black trim paint.

      I agree Satin Black would have been better.........Jus sayin....

      Yep. EASTWOOD has a really good underhood black paint. Just like factory.

    Hello Chris, it is wise to cut of that narrow end of the rubber drain hose. Just to prevent it from clogging again.

    Good video about cowl drains. Now try repositioning wipers. Oh yes, be sure to use CORRECT blades so as not to interfere with hood when closed.

    You did it the hard way. If you lift up on the arm then you can slide the tab out then you can let go of the arm. The tab will hold the arm up and you can pull it up off the shaft.

    Hi Chris! Interesting how much crud can build up in just simple drains over the years! I like that when you have stuff all apart...you clean and recondition/repaint the objects and surfaces. You ever think about starting your own resto business? You are quite good mechanically and you achieve good results. Just a thot. Great content as always! Thanks much for your time.

    I waiting to see the heater core replacement, that will be interesting

    • @dalemihocik4732
      @dalemihocik4732 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I second the heater core replacement . As the owner of a 89 C4 my biggest fear is a failure of that core . The worst part is that there isn't even one video out there that is the least bit helpful .

    • @imdeplorable2241
      @imdeplorable2241 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jeff Spicolli Yeah, I thought that, too. I think the CDM was second.
      Incidentally, I found that if you take the passenger seat completely out, it makes it so much more comfortable and easy on the back.

    Wow Chris - I owned one for 9 yrs and did not know that it had those same udder drains like the C5 has. Duh! Thanks for the edumacation dude!

    I would have used semi gloss black for the wiper arms. They were not gloss black from the factory. Same for those plastic pieces.

    What about the cowl itself being damaged? Nice job on the cowl screens. Mine is damaged as yours is which I could see at 2:22. How difficult is it to repair or replace?

    Any tips on cleaning out the passenger side utter drain?

  • @theflying70
    @theflying70 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    A new record! 12 "go aheads" in under 12 minutes! But seriously folks, I also think the wiper arms, etcetera should have been semi-gloss. Gloss black is way to shiny in this location.

  • @keithcooper9087
    @keithcooper9087 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow! Didnt know those hoses were there for the drain. Thought the drain was just down thru the crevice in the panels. I thought you were going to replace the screening. Be sure to use some chemical guys vrp on the rest of the cowling/gaskets that you didn't remove! :) do you ever hear from the gentleman you bought the car from about the content you are creating from his old car? Did you get him to subscribe? 😁

    Any paint that you recommend to paint plastic? do you think it's good to paint plastic

    • @mycorvettelife
      @mycorvettelife  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its definitely doable. Depending on what grade finish you want, I think prep is the most important step.

    Does vette leds have amber turn signal leds? I watched your video about your C5 but I have a C4 in white and I'm looking to upgrade my front turn signal bulbs to leds can you advise?

    • @mycorvettelife
      @mycorvettelife  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stay tuned. I’m doing some R&D for Vette LEDs for the C4. Soon they will have a full line of LEDs for C4.
